France or Argentina, who wins the World cup 2026?

Does anyone share the same feeling or wish with me? What are your thoughts or wish about who wins the tournament?

France seems to be more likely to win this World Cup match, but Norway in this 2026 World Cup can surprise everyone. And Argentina is slowly approaching the final, but I don't know what the end result of the match will be because it is very difficult to predict. If Norway can win this World Cup, it will definitely be the best for them, because Haaland will be able to leave his reputation, he is a legendary player and he can express it through the World Cup.

This is a bit too early  to start limiting  the cup to only france and Argentina, there are still quite  a number  of good team apart  from the two mentioned. Let wait after the semi finals then the debate  can start. You should  not underestimate  any country  that has made it to this level, England, Norway, Switzerland, and Spain are all potential  winner.

Argentina  next match will be against  Switzerland, and it's going  to be a difficult  match  for them I even think  they might  likely  be eliminated. And even if they manage  to progress  to the semi final they will be playing against either  England  or Norway  depending  on who wins in  their quarter  finals. None of the team between  England  and Norway  will be easy for Argentina  if we are being  honest  here.

France are more likely  to win it. their  only challenge  will be spain, the Spanish  team is great  but I think they are still  too young  to take on the French  boys. I am not Messi or Ronaldo  fan, I just want the best  country  to win it. And I think k the best country  so far for me have to be France.

Portugal was at the top of my list of favorites and I wanted the legend Ronaldo to win this World Cup, but that didn't happen. But I still watch every match with great interest and try to see as much as possible. But now my goal is for Norway to win this World Cup. It's a real point anyways. No one knows, and everyday, some teams keeps getting better. Spain is one of them. At the beginning of this tournament, I didn't even look there way, but now, they can be very dangerous for that fact that they are already in the semi finals, and clashing with tye almighty France team, it's gonna be a real fight.

As for Argentina, am not really sure for them. Of course they faced challenges to reach here, both in there round of 32 and 16. They will be fighting against Switzerland, and they also want to push further. And if Argentina wins, they still have to face either Norway or England in the semi finals. It's really getting tough and we can't easily predict at this point, but I would still want a new winner

After Portugal got knocked off from the world cup, the competition dosen't interest me anymore like it used to, coz what I have been watching recently is just pure bias and favouritism especially with Argentina being at the center of it all.. Honestly I don't even want either France or Argentina to win the Cup coz they have already done so in the past...Having some fresh bloods winning the tournament seems more reasonable and better in my own opinion... Argentina and France are currently the best teams in the world, they both have won the World cup in the last two competition and looking at how other nations are playing I don't think they have a chance against these two big giants because Argentina and France has been the only nations that have played convincively since the start of this competition. Argentina has had some bad games but they always look for a way to win even though we can say the referees are favouring them but they are not the only one getting the favoured calls.

France has a very strong team and I believe they have two or more World cups to be at the top of their game because of the young squad that they have. Mbappe is only 27 and he has at least two more World cup to play which he is definitely going to win one of them so if he wins this current edition then he will have won three World cup and I believe he is such a good player that he deserves to have this accomplishment in his record so I support him to win this year's World cup.

Performance of France team last match really impressive success beating Morocco 2-0 but in the semifinal round waiting by Spanish. I still find weaknesses in the Argentine squad, their defense is still very fragile. Defensive errors have cost them a lot of goals, especially considering a team like Cape Verde managed to score two goals against them, then continued their winning streak with a 3-2 victory over Egypt.

I see France is no longer just a strong team, they have proven themselves to be absolute rulers who always survive until the last day of the World Cup.

Just like you, I’d also like to see a different champion this time around. Maybe England or Norway, or perhaps Spain with their incredible young players. At first, I was rooting for Portugal or Morocco, but well, they’ve all been eliminated. Now my hopes are probably pinned on Spain or Norway.

But sometimes I also see England as a team worth rooting for to win the title at this World Cup. After all, it’s been a very long time since they last won. They’ve only won once, in 1966, when they hosted the tournament. Since then, England has seemed like a team that’s always been unlucky. So it would be a great moment if they were to win the title at this World Cup.

Unfortunately for Morocco, they have already been beaten in quarters by France 2-0. Morocco fans already have lost their new winning dream.
Norway actually did huge upset and downed Brazil in final round, this is what this tournament needed.
Now England are small favourites to beat Norway and have already overcome Mexico 3-2, they have real hope of going deep. The "new winner" rules would certainly be met if England were to win.
If Spain result against Belgium is good, and they are already in semi-final with France, then we are likely to have another big country in the final. The semi between France and Spain is big game.
Argentina are still in mix as well, with Switzerland as their enemy tomorrow. So the ‘no Messi’ hope might not be reached either. Tournament is truly up for grabs right now.

You are not the only one that is having the double about who is going to qualify for the final round between France and Spain.
This is football and sometimes gamblers and game analysts often use the performances of another team to judge what will be their future outcome when they playing with another team. I am not sure that France would be ready to leave the world cup at this point when they are preparing to face another big country that is know for football players.

Well, it's every man to his own opinion by the way, for me, like I said in my previous comment on this thread, I don't mind seeing France win, but I definitely don't want to see Argentina win again since they are the defending champions.

France and Argentina are the ones who played the finals in the last World Cup where Argentina later won, and this years World Cup, I wouldn't mind seeing France win, though any other country can win it, it can be Norway, it can be England, I wanted to see Morocco make it to the finals but unfortunately, they couldn't, they got eliminated in the quarter finals, they did better last season where they made it to the semi finals...
If Morocco was there, I would have loved to see them win, but unfortunately they are not, so any other country aside Argentina can sure win including France.. In my own honest opinion though.

We should expect more surprises yeah I think we haven't seen them all yet. Norway and Switzerland are both teams might surprise everyone. Currently everyone focus is on Argentina, France and Spain right now but we seemed to forget to soon that in football anything can happen and even our most favourite teams could still not win the cup. I don't think it would make sense if a country who has won the world cup before still win it again. I would prefer a country who has never won it before to win it this time and it will make sense that way.

I too expect something different like you. If England and Norway are there, it will create a different atmosphere for the World Cup. But this will reduce the income of many organizations and that will have a negative impact on FIFA's income. My opinion may not be liked by everyone but it is literally true.

Argentina and France have many fans worldwide and if they are eliminated from the World Cup due to their poor performance, the football craze will be greatly reduced. After the elimination of the Brazil team, many fans are disappointed and some have refrained from watching the next matches. The semi final will determine which team will play the final match but I think France and Argentina have a higher chance.

For fans, the World Cup is always a show... A good show is created according to the rules of dramatic art. People want to see unexpected endings, unexpected plot twists, transformations of the main characters... The loser must become the winner (and vice versa). Then the audience is interested, otherwise – not!

This is a psychological characteristic of human perception, and, in my opinion, it can be used for sports betting. I think you're not the only one who wants France and Argentina to lose. Everyone is truly tired of Argentina... I recently read in another forum thread that the entire FIFA leadership is on Argentina's side (fighting for Argentina to win with the ferocity of ferocious lions). Judging by the comments, there's some kind of global conspiracy there in favor of Argentina and against all people of good will. 😃

The rest of the nations have incredible teams, types that're hard to predict what result they'll make out of the semi-finals, Norway or England don't look weak against Argentina if any of them meet at the semi-finals, but in the finals it'll be a tough territory for a team like Norway or England to face either France or Spain, I think that is why Fifa is preserving Argentina for the final position, to make it a more challenging final for whoever gets to win amongst France or Spain.

Nothing is impossible in football, but considering the match schedule, it's quite realistic to predict that France and Argentina will meet again in the final.
And I also hope the same as you, even though I said nothing is impossible in football, but I hope France can avenge their defeat four years ago in the final. That's quite reasonable in my opinion, because so far France has continued to show quite impressive performances, so it's very reasonable for them to win the title.
