I don't know who will win the World Cup now, but I think France will at least be in the final. With their next opponent is spain actually this will not be easy for them to win because spain is not easy to defeat.

Well, France is a favorite, but Spain is in the semifinal for a reason... I guess picking a winner in 90 minutes is pretty hard, this game could easily go to extra time. But at the same time, if we see an early goal, things will change completely. Both teams are pretty good, and they have quality... but the ball is round.

Both are good teams, they will go in to their semi final matches with France and Argentina as slight underdogs but I would not be so quick to assume that the final will be played between France and Argentina.

I've never been rooting for Argentina to win the his world cup and with Norway out of the way all of my support goes to France, if Argentina can manage to best England then I would want for them to lose against France though I wouldn't want them to win against England in the first place, giving them they chance to even reach the finals will be giving them too much already and with how this world cup has been going they will most likely win if they get to the finals.

At this point am tired of people saying that the Argentine team are being favoured just because you don't like the team, I feel It all boils down to the fact that we don't fully understand the rules governing the refs actions because we have seen a lot of controversial decisions but critically looking at it, its right. But the one fact that I know is Argentine winning this World Cup is close to impossible.

It is true that we did not see a good performance from Argentina in this match. Our  expectations from the team were much  higher. Argentina failed to meet the expectations. But even then, argentina was able to secure a 3-1 victory.

We know that the argentina team is very strong and they have quality players in their  squad. Messi could not score a goal against Switzerland. Even then, Argentina was  able to secure a 3-1 victory . We are obliged to praise Alvarez's goal. So there is no doubt that the team will make the maximum effort to win in the  semi-finals as well.

Argentina already has a support from FIFA if they can win England they will likely win the world cup back to back though i don't know if any country has done this before by winning the world cup trophy back to back. You are absolutely right, the cup will just goes to whoever that survive the game, so being ready for any outcome is also important, as surprises things won't stop existing in football because it can turn out that people who we are rooting for might not be the ones to win the cup. Unfortunately, all the four teams that has reached the semifinals has won the world cup. Yesterday, Norway failed to win England and today, Switzerland got eliminated by Argentina after a heated match. Norway and Switzerland has never won the world cup so had it been either of them reached the semifinals, it would have been possible to reach the final and win it but they are gone now and i think that the strongest contenders for the world cup is between Spain, France or Argentina but for England, they don't appear like they will win the world cup because they are the only team among the teams that reached the semifinals who hasn't won a recent world cup.

Even if it is the most likely scenario. I would not like to see a repeat of the World Cup 2022 final again. It would be a little too predictable for me, in my opinion.

I have the same thought as you. In fact, if we assume that Argentina reaches the final and France also reaches the final, Argentina would have a very strong chance of winning the title for a second consecutive time, and what happened in 2022 could happen again at this WC. Unless some of Argentina's key players suffer injuries, which could change this scenario. However, it is hard to imagine an important player like Messi getting injured before such a crucial match.

Portugal brought perhaps the strongest team in their history to this World Cup. There were many talented and star players in the squad. But the chemistry between the players was not good. I don't know if there was any animosity between Ronaldo and the other players in the squad. I saw a reluctance among the other players to pass to Ronaldo. If Portugal could have played well as a team, then they would have had a chance to win this World Cup.

Considering the capabilities of the squad, France's squad is very strong. We can also see their good performance in every match. If they can continue this trend, no one else will be able to resist this team. France is the favorite for the title so far.

That's the most important thing in the game, we don't have to be totally bend or be too sure about a particular team since football can be very unpredictable. We get to stay prepared in accepting things the way they are so we won't be disappointed when our favorite failed to deliver as expected. Personally,  I'm not hoping on any team to lift up the cup because I don't want to tension myself unnecessarily if things decide going against my will, I just enjoy every single moment of the game and that's it.  And also, for those that will want to be little aggressive in their game's, I will suggest they watch their steps because thing's can go against their will and it won't go well with them. Therefore, let always stake the little amount we can let go to avoid being totally down when things decide to go the opposite direction.

That's a valid reason,  but only one problem these odds are prematch before anybody could even put in their bets..so can we still stick to the theory of having more fans from one camp putting money on team England??
