When I buy Bitcoin or any other asset for investment purposes, I get the opportunity to own it. Although the price of that asset may decrease, if the market is in a good position again in the future, I will have the opportunity to profit and this asset will always be mine. Even here, the possibility of future profit is very high.

When I bet on any gambling sites, it does not create wealth, rather the money I bet depends on a specific outcome where the possibility of loss is much higher than profit.

Isn't it clear when analyzing the two issues that investment and gambling are never the same?

Even if your Bitcoin investment doesnt work out as you expected and you lose money for some reason, its still an investment. Because you're owning asset with the expectation that its value will go up and make you a profit in the future.

On the other hand, even if you make a lot of money from gambling, that doesn't make it an investment. You don't actually own anything, and the result still mainly comes down to luck.
The result isn't what tells you whether something is gambling or investing. It's what you own and how the profit is made.

I wouldn’t call gambling an investment since the odds usually favor the house.

The result isn't what tells you whether something is gambling or investing. It's what you own and how the profit is made.

Yes, exactly my friend. Both investing and gambling are basically very different in name and in their fundamentals, even though both carry risks.

When we invest, we own the asset we invest in and can keep it, transfer it or sell it later. The price can go up or even drop quickly, but the asset still belongs to us, and its value depends on our analysis, not just random outcomes. In investing the chance of future profit exists as long as we hold onto the asset.

On the other hand, in gambling there are no assets at all. The money you bet is either lost or multiplied purely based on specific outcomes, like in a football match where the chances of losing are usually higher and when you lose, there’s nothing left. The point is, the difference between the two is very clear from the start in investing you buy assets and can actually own them with the hope that their value will go up, whereas gambling is purely based on luck.

Gambling is totally different from investment as investments are made for long term growth but gambling is merely for entertainment, thrill and luck factor is involved in it. You can't have ownership of assets in gambling but in investment you have ownership and rights. There are a lot of negative affects of gambling, you must not risk all your money on it as you can't assure positive returns. Investments on other hand is more profitable, safe and helps you to grow and progress provided you have patience to hold your investment for long term.

The main thing is the mentality, many people are involved in gambling in such a way that they consider gambling as an investment. No matter how good your arguments are in front of them, they will not give any importance to your words and they will always consider gambling as an investment in their own way and in this way they will continue to gamble until they are completely ruined, they are basically addicted.
Gambling is something that has nothing to do with investment, but do they all understand? Not everyone has a real realistic mentality, and they are blind to getting rich overnight. And that is why they keep making such wrong decisions and the result of these in the end only ends in big losses. So first of all, a realistic mentality is needed if you want to understand the exact difference between them.
