I don't consider gambling an investment. An investment is expected to generate value over the long term, while gambling is, most of the time have negative return because the odds favor the house.
Its better treated as entertainment rather than an investment, although im not favor of calling it entertainment since gambling will really suck your money up if you dont have discipline.
First of all, it is important to know that an investment is also a risk, even though it is not as risky as gambling but you must have it at the back of your mind that you are going to incur losses. Even if you might not lose it is important to fix your mind that way so you don't get disappointed when that eventually happens. Gambling on the other hand is not an investment because the system is built around probability and not based on making profit.
Gambling will definitely take all your money if you are a constant player and it is even worse when you take it as a source of income.
There is definitely a difference in risk between investment and gambling. Risk is generally present in everything, but the main difference is that you can control the risk of your business, that is, you can reduce your risk a lot by managing your business very well and increase the chances of business, but is this possible in any way in gambling? What do you manage in gambling? There is nothing to manage here, everything depends only on luck. So gambling and business can never be the same, in business proper planning, patience and hard work are needed, and in this way one has to move forward to create a possible financial future, but gambling is only a source of temporary entertainment, nothing more, but when people start expecting success through it, then it puts people in great danger, so there is no shortcut to success, success can only be achieved through long hard work, but if you want to get rich through gambling, it can destroy everything you have.
