But after watching the semi finals of the FIFA world cup matches both from the Argentina vs England and that of Spain vs France games, it became clear to me that all these stories were all conspiracy theories and nothing more. Using the Argentina game it was believed that FIFA was going to favour Argentina. But after watching  this game, one thing that I realized is that this game was one of the best games in terms of officiating if you ask me. But Argentina has to once again come back from behind to win this game in their usual format, right from the beginning of this world.

This made me to have a dipper reflection of the the world cup and all the accusations that has been going on, and I have come to the conclusion that it has always been conspiracy theories and nothing more, if Argentina wins this world cup against Spain no body should blame FIFA over favoritism but, should congratulations Argentina for their hard labour and not giving up spirit.

The last world cup was really full of drama and negative energies from rival fans of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and that's where the major conspiracy was coming from because they called Messi a FIFA Son and that the FIFA President has selected cheaper teams that are not strong for the Argentine team so they can easily qualify for the finals and win the trophy but from all indications and how the games were played that was mere accusations and conspiracy against Argentina and the FIFA President, people just wanted to spoil the game because Ronaldo didn't actually perform well due to his age and I also think because Messi has won the world cup most persons don't want him to lift it for the second time.

Argentina were the ones that obstructed themselves from retaining the world cup because they played a low block football and was waiting to play penalties if not they would have won the game although Spain had a very good team too but if Argentina has come out to play a 50/50 game the story would have changed, every news at that world was just conspiracy against Argentina.

Sometimes people make speculations about a particular thing, they talk without a convincing evidence of what they are saying. In the case of the FIFA world cup 2026 , if African countries had performed well, and even if there was favoritism, I think they would have carried the FIFA world cup. In the previous world cup, country like Morocco went very far in that world cup tournament, and I don't think they FIFA conspired against them otherwise they would not get to the semi final stage.

In the world of football or any sport tournament at all, there are those who will always see fault in what was done or what’s going on, and even if there was some favoritism, we can’t also deny the fact that talent and hard work always pay off. I think it’s really important to separate proven corruption from ordinary suspicions among fans. But that definitely doesn’t mean that every controversial match or questionable referee decision is the result of manipulation.
It’s pretty much the same with match-fixing. Sometimes there is real evidence - unusual betting activity, suspicious money flows, messages between people involved, or even confessions.  Mistakes and unbelievable coincidences happen in sports all the time.

Dismissing all suspicions as conspiracy theories is also unrealistic.

Actual problem of match manipulation is recognized by FIFA's own integrity framework. Where betting related manipulation and deliberate involvement of official are also there.

So if something unusual is seen in betting market or match activity then there is enough reason to monitor it.

Suspicion first then data and evidence, investigation if necessary then conclusion.

Abnormal betting pattern is definitely red flag. But this cannot be taken as proof of fixing.

Yes, people will always have something to say, but if you watch the most recent World Cup event, you'll notice that there's a lot of suspicious activity because FIFA officials, who are supposed to be impartial while watching the game, are applauding one team's goal and getting goosebumps as if the players are from their nation.
The obvious foul is another reason and the unfair application of VAR. Additionally, many social media influencers shared evidence of this claim during the World Cup match.

I thought this argument had been laid to rest. I didn't come across any news that said Europeans were favoured in the last World Cup. There might be such speculation, but it was not as popular as the Argentina and US favouritism news. African teams did well in the group stage. Most football fans believed that African teams were cheated when they played against Argentina (Cape Verde and Egypt games). Some officials can be biased because they cannot control their emotions.

Those who claim that Argentina doesn't have a good team are not telling the truth. La Albiceleste was one of the most talented, disciplined, and experienced teams. They deserve to be in the finals; however, Spain was on another level.

Concerning the issue with the Argentina team, I don't think that anyone who watched the matches would say that they didn't notice any anomaly in the entire games.

There were so many clips, not edited that circulated it caught the attention of those who already lost interest in the competition especially after their team had lost, and they all came back and saw the anomalies themselves; so it is possible for it to be a coincidence, but if things like this are left to just go without being questioned it will create room for people to actually manipulate the game without anyone realizing it.

Who knows maybe if you are also in the same position these people are, your own case may be the worst one because we don't tend to know our capabilities sometimes until we have the opportunity of being in the position of power, even if they are doing their best, people can still complain and agitate over the judgment being made because we cannot satisfy everybody.

You have said it all and like I will always say that as long as a competitive event or bets could not favour everyone, there is definitely going to be those who will point unprovable fingers accusing the regulatory parliaments of the event. Event when the event outcome is automatically determined by AI or technology such as the RNG in the casino, there is still going to be accusations of cheats.

The efforts of the Argentinas team even worth winning the 2026 World Cup as much as Spain deserve it.
The both teams really worked hard to reach the final round so anyone who is laying claims about on the outcome and could not prove it is just trying to justify their mindset and not the reality.

Mostly it's about suspicions, because nothing can be proved if it's not impartially investigated. And considering the level of power and influence FIFA has, hardly ever something is ever going to be proved against them.

Anyway, it's clear there are some strange and shady events in world cup, so it makes sense that fans raise doubts about the legitimacy of the championship's organization and execution. However, it's not accurate to claim team B or C ended going home due to FIFA's interference along the games through referees.

You know people are very delusional and when they want something so much that they have wanted to see so much and it fallout their hands, they create it in a way it will not favour other people. They have lost the Ronaldo vs Messi debate, they never even expected Messi to win the 2022 and when he had another appearance in the 2026 world cup, it was beyond control meanwhile their principal is getting worse all the time, even his teammates are tired of him.

They don't want the truth, they love fantasies that is why they afr trying to get back to fifa because Messi was able to win what they have always used against him in the last 16 years and he has clear their doubt. You are right, the decisions made by the referee were mostly in favor of Argentina. Especially in the Morocco vs Argentina match, it seemed that the referee was being controlled to make decisions. But so far, no organization has been able to prove this. The officiating of the world cup may not be excellent as there are several reasons to believe that FIFA are favouring some persons or teams, however there is no perfect system anywhere so we cannot use those few cases to discredit FIFA or conclude that the benefactor, which in this case is Argentina, are not good in the game.
