Another important thing is RTP. You know, same slot can have multiple RTP configuration and actual RTP can change depending on which version the casino is running. So it would not be right to call a rigged demo if real-money result is shown differently from demo.
I personally do not consider demo mode to be substitute for real-money gambling. But it is useful for understanding the mechanics, bonus feature, volatility or interface of any new game. Demo mode is much more friendly to players than the original money games. What we must understand is that the mode changes when money is involved, so we possibly win more when playing demo, but the same winning system does not apply to the real game.
One thing that distinguishes both modes is the algorithm which applies to all games, be it slots or blackjack. As long as you are playing the demo version, you can never have the same system as the real game.
