What do you think, is using the cashout feature a losing strategy afterall?
It depends, if the chances of winning is almost guaranteed  (maybe you are having your last game playing and they're almost winning the match) even though we aren't %100 sure, then cashing out at that point will seems more of cheating yourself but if you're having a mixed feelings either you might win or lose if you persist further, then cashing out the little you are sure of will be the best decision ever.

Personal, I don't joke with cashing out, since I have known how the system works and that nothing is actually guaranteed, once I am sure of the little I can get hold of and it's above my staking power I don't waste time because sometimes the next minute can change everything against your will.

I don't withdraw money, if only because I often don't follow the matches. Because, after all, you need to have free time for this. Well, I agree that withdrawing money all the time is a loss in the form of, how should I call it, "lost profits".

However, this is the case for bookmakers with money withdrawal, but in the prediction markets, on the contrary, you can make a profit if you exit the transaction earlier (withdraw money), if, for example, you entered at the beginning at a lower price. Although there is also a certain commission fee for the sale, it is insignificant.

PS although I only withdraw money from the markets for political or everyday events. With sports betting, there are few differences from betting on bookmakers in this regard.

What do you think, is using the cashout feature a losing strategy afterall?
I believe you are thinking too much, so you need to just slow down and do what you think is best for you, after all, consistency is key. By consistency, I mean you sticking to your style, and do not drift between cash out opportunity and the choice that avoids the cash out opportunity. Anyone you choose should be stuck with.

As for me, I noticed that either one is good, and can't be undermined for another, the actual gamblers ways of gambling matters.

Recently, I regretted that my bookie didn't have the cash out feature, especially in this just-concluded world cup. Had it been they had that feature and I utilized it well, my woefulnperformance during the world cup wouldn't have been. This is another reason to show you that cash out feature is not bad.

The only winning strategy I have seen to work flawlessly is not to gamble. The more you gamble, the more you will lose and the more the casinos makes out from your pocket. If you stop gambling all that money you are going to lose in future is going to be stopped. We can make this opinion because we have seen gambling happen in front of us since long time because a newbie might make a counter argument that the possible win is also there which can be massive.

The truth is that even if someone wins a big jackpot, the most likely player who wins will be someone who has already lost so much money that the cumulative loss is bigger than even the jackpot.

Cashout can be very good, but know when to use it. I bet on 1 match most of the time, using cash out for it is not good because the betting sites will do it in a way it will only favour them. So I do not just use cash out at all.

If you bet on many matches and you have won like almost all the matches and the payout is very huge if you want to cash out, some people just do not mind what the 1 or 2 remaining matches will be, they can cash out. This is when cash out is very good.

Some people deliberately placed several bets hoping to be offer cash out midgame and they won't hesitate to cash out when given offer. They never realise that cash out is designed to favor betting platforms first.

They believe they're making profit from cash out since the amount offer is bigger than their stake. Literally, it's a profit but mathematically it is not. Cashing out midgame is just like accepting a discount of your supposed money if you won the bet. If you do the maths, you'll realise how much you have indirectly lost to the bookies in the name of cash out.

Some people actually see cash out as a gambling strategy.

Yes, that's right. Or, win and don't ever come back. Well, as long as the winnings are over the spent amount of money, that is still a win. A gambler can be proud that he defeated the house because he never came back. Cheesy

There was a time I was watching a live stream and heard the owner himself say that sentence. If you want to be a winner, then win and walk out. Don't ever come back. Not even a single bet. Those are the real winners in gambling.
The cash out button is not a strategy but only a safety pin. It gives us the chance to pull out our bet if we want to or need to. But it cannot be a strategy even if you don't cash out. It can also relate to luck if you press the button at the right time.

When a  feature just pops up in any gambling or casino sites, just know it will always favour them.

It doesn't only favour them and you don't need to find any loophole because you already knows fine function of that feature and it's left for you to decide if you want to use that feature or not, perhaps the gambler is not  being forced to use the feature. I want to give you an example using this thread, Drake staked with $1.5M but when he saw that his bet was trending, he knew he would lose the bet, he decided to cashout his stake. So, had it been there was no option to do that, he would have lost his entire stake of $1.5m.

What do you think, is using the cashout feature a losing strategy afterall?

Yes, you have noticed a very clever way how casinos or bookmakers can gradually force players to spend money almost without noticing it. and that's obviously why they say that casinos are always in the black. After all, even if you withdraw $ 30, feeling the joy of winning, then most likely you will not pay attention that they want to take a commission and charge you about $ 28. You will say that this is nonsense and 28 dollars of winnings is very cool. And if this happens several times, then the casino will really fully provide itself with the income that plays against the player.

Cashout could be the best feature that the sportsbook would have for me, because you can't completely trust that every game on your ticket would play even when it seems like the most possible outcome. Though it has its own bad side like you mentioned but that does not exclude the benefits of cashing out during the most unfavorable moments.

It's all about the mindset and how much you could afford to lose. People who cashout mostly are people who cannot afford to lose entirely or people who have a considerable amount of cashout after successful multiple games. It is not a bad idea that you gain partial profits than losing everything entirely, don't you think?

I may be wrong but stand to be corrected, don't you think that cashing out is somehow better than losing entirely since nothing can actually be guaranteed in the game. Because it's has once happened to me,  I made a bet with the option of cashing out at will but guess what, I was so blinded with over confident of my game so I didn't cash out even when I had the opportunity of doing so, but lo and behold I lost everything along the line. So this experience has thought me so much that a bird at hands is worth more than the thousands in the bush.

Nothing in gambling is guaranteed, both winning and losing and I think cashing out is actually a good idea for anyone who is smart. I personally cash out when I meet a significant target, it doesn't necessarily have to get up to the end of the game. I've seen many reasons since gambling that I normally try to avoid using the cash out options when it's available. We know some players might try to retain their discipline in gambling by not tempering their bets till the end of the game and that's very nice way to build a strong mindset. But your reasons has to be genuine and not because you are trying to make bigger profits from the market and a that's one bad reason why many gamblers lose money..

Right, cashout at times serve as a helping hand to bettors in order for them not to lose everything in the game, as the games are unpredictable and to avoid heart breaks and stress, cashout can be helpful. That is why some people prefer cashout that to patiently wait for the game to be over, sometimes cashout might be favourable but its more better that losing everything any time they place a bet and its actually a best decision for those that love to cashout.

Actually we can not really determined which is more better because somehow I think both are better depending on the situation actually. I have had the two experiences and trust me it was very painful, I was in a state where I was to chose either cash out or allow the game to play full time knowing there is no certainty on how the game will end, so the potential winning of the game was NGN250,000 and it was remaining a game and the cash out was something 90k there about due to odd of the remaining game, I could not help but to cash out and at the end the game entered, even though I made a profit I was still not happy... and the one I allowed next time cut my game and I regretted why I didn't cash out so it's a two ways thing.

I would not say that using the cashout option is a losing strategy because it can also put you in profit. First of all, using the cashout option is only profitable to those that play parlays, out of multiple games on the bet slip if you have a few games left you'd definitely have a good cashout offer based on the odds and amount you staked with. The only reason why a lot of people consider cash out to be a losing strategy is because they end up winning their bet after they must have cashed, not waiting patiently enough to claim they potential makes them call it a losing strategy but that's not really accurate.

I have based my last two post on the cashout feature for most platforms and this should be the last I speak about unless something better comes up.
‎Still, as cashout remains a great feature on our gambling platform, I have come to the conclusion that to be a more successful gambler, constantly cashing out is usually a losing strategy in the long run, if we get to look at it from a mathematical point of view.

‎Every time the gambling platform you use offers you a cash-out value, they build an extra fee/margin (often about 5% to 15%) into that offer.
If the true mathematical probability of your bet winning at a specific moment in the game dictates you should get a $20 cashout, the sportsbook will actually offer you $17 or $18. They are charging you a premium to eliminate your risk.

‎So, if you spend all day logged in, monitoring games, and panic-cashing out every time your team faces a minor setback, you are essentially paying a massive 'tax' to the gambling platform over time.
It is because of this mathematical probability that the more successful and professional and highly profitable bettors almost never cash out manually unless a critical, unexpected piece of news hits the headline in time (like a star player getting injured at the middle of the game). They prefer to let the bet run to avoid paying the bookmaker's cash-out margin and that's why it makes more sense to avoid the cashout but opt for the final results regardless of how much you have lost so far and how badly you want to recover that loss.

What do you think, is using the cashout feature a losing strategy afterall?

Am I cashing out lower than my stake? If the answer is No and I'm actually cashing out higher than my stake then there is no way to convince me that I'm actually losing, what's the guarantee tht si will actually walk away with my full intended winning if i don't cash out? You analysis only works if I'm cadhing out and i csnt grt my original stake back from it but as long as I'm still walking away with more money than I initially staked then I will still count it as a win for me.

Lol, I understand your point because it is something I have also experienced before but let put emotion aside and look at it from mathematics angle. Remember you already accepted the variance the moment you placed your bet. You agreed to either win the potential amount or you lose everything.

So the point is not to use cash out but you shouldn't make it a regular habit. If you cash out your bet every time your ticket is going opposite, you'll never get that potential win. Not every game you cashed out end up losing, some will actually play out after you already cashed out.

You should consider both angle in this case. A bird in hand worth more than thousand in the bush but if you always feel comfortable with the one in hand, you won't have the courage to enter the forest for more birds. You might catch more birds if you enter the forest. Use the cash out option wisely.

I get your point and it is also true because if you don't cash out less than your stake, there's no real loss. A person cashes out because he is not sure about the remaining games, if he is 100% sure, no one will use the cash out option because no one would love to lose part of his winnings. Taking the risk to allow your game to end before withdrawal is not guaranteed so once you have received a cash out reasonable enough there's nothing wrong with cashing out. Some players are not lucky enough to win an entire bet, so cashing out is their only gateway to reduce losses. If you have the mind not to cash out, fine. If you do not have the mind to allow the game to end, cash out. Greed can make you never to win a dime until you get wrecked but if you are not greedy, there will always be something for you and that is the beauty of the cash out option.

That's true, because the moment we stake in gamble, automatically we are ready to accept whatever outcome we get and that's it.

You are on point boss, because most times when we cash out our game thinking that's the best we can do, sometimes completely different thing from what we think normally happen and at that very point regrets becomes the case.

I swear, you are sounding more logical and I'm pretty impressed. Maybe I should just give it a trial by trying not to be too comfortable with cashing out, I just pray I don't regret it this time.

It has long been no secret that the casino tries to win on absolutely every move of the player, and therefore, if he withdraws a deposit, then, of course, the casino does not like it very much, because they want him to continue playing until his deposit is completely empty. Therefore, if any gambler starts making money, then depositing, then withdrawing, he will face the fact that his amount of money will decrease. Well, I think the casino is pushing this idea with commissions so hard, because only the player will start withdrawing money on emotion, and he will either be depressed and will not care about the commission, or get at least some amount. Or he will be very cheerful because of the winnings, and he will not pay attention to the commission.

For me, cashing out is a great feature to use in certain situations. For example; a match suddenly takes a turn, and the team you are betting on starts to lose focus, or the team you are betting on loses a player who could potentially change the game. So, I think the cashout feature can be a great strategy for saving bets, and I have had some lucky moments using it. Well, I have also had some unfortunate, or feel a little lucky moments. Because I cashed out too early, but I think it is also good for maintaining sanity (psychologically speaking).
