People might get sick of me saying it, but just DCA, its the best form of trading. And most consistent, and believe me, most fun Smiley

Actually, you are likely correct @slaman29.

Depending on guys budgets and even how screwed up their finances and/or psychology when they get started buying bitcoin regularly, it may well take some time for guys to get their finances/psychology in order and to be able to measurably see that their DCAing and even their efforts in strengthening their cashflow management are starting to pay off and to give them more options and less stress.

It can take years and years and years to really build networth and to allow guys to feel that they have more options, even when they have such a good and promising investment like bitcoin that is available to everyone and anyone who has discretionary funds, even guys who might start out their buying of bitcoin with relatively small amounts, they may well end up getting into a good practice of ongoingly buying bitcoin while also strengthening their cashflow by ongoingly building their back up funds too (perhaps simultaneously?) and then after a few years, they are seeing that their efforts are paying off. even though surely bitcoin prices are not guaranteed to cooperate and it is also not guaranteed that they might not makes some screw ups in their execution, too.

I stopped looking at charts, stopped trying out signals, stopped reading analysis, stopped opening terminals and deleted all the apps and calculators, I even probably forgot how to build my own charts now but I don't miss it. I wasted so much years and got stressed from it, for really not much gain, and realized instead I would have gained way more if I simply held and bought slowly.

Like you said even if you don't have a great discipline or psychology, the only thing to do is get a small bit of btc every time possible. And just keep it locked away. I would only login my wallets to consolidate every few months that's all.

All that free time is so valuable. You improve your career, your life your health, while watching btc grow in value. And that's the fun part. You try to aim to get more, more often, etc.

It took me years to see something valuable and I could have held longer but I used it to pay off my huge huge debts, so at least these days I no longer feel like I'll die before my debts are paid off. I still have years ahead but if not for me changing from trading to accumulation on dca, I would be in a deeper hole.

What a great realization and imagine how stressful the journey for doing all of those things.

And right now that is truly the smartest move you made, Buying even small amount can then hold it for long time not only help you to experience good growth. But also it save you from stress and regain back your life, health and maybe career to.

Situation happen to you on which you pay your debts thru your gains is actually the proof that patience actually pays off.

The beauty of DCA is it made everything so simple, it also help investors to avoid bad timing in the market and other good thing is it give us peace of mind.

Atcoins investment gives fast profit if you are lucky to invest in a coin that has good potentials to pump and you are very fast to take your profit but it doesn't favour investors all the time because it doesn't give a long profit it only gives you fast profit if pick a good one but others who aren't lucky will face the consequences when it dumps. A good investor will not include any altcoin for long term project because most of the projects are pump and dump and holding them will cost you everything you have because once they crash they may not bounce back again. Investors who are into the business for long will use altcoin to risk some amount just to see if they can take fast profit but when they plan for long term they know the right asset to invest in which is bitcoin.
If you are an investor, you’re suppose to understand the fact that, as an investor, you invest into an asset with real value in order for it to appreciate over time or period of years, that means your major goal should be focused on long term not short term. As an investor, yes you should take risk but not any kind of risk but calculate risk with potentials and not blind risk. Bitcoin is volatile in nature but altcoins are on a very high side of volatility which can lose all it’s value at any time and not advisable as an investor to stick on trying or even try because you might end up not just losing some part of your money but rather all your money. Most of this altcoin projects, end up been scam projects and at the end most people end up regretting because they were only focused on the short term profit and avoided the important part where an investor is meant to be long term focused and not focused on chasing after quick profit over short term. You putting your money into altcoins is same as you just gambling with your funds over a very uncertain outcome not you trying to build or generate wealth.

When investing in Bitcoin, one must be cautious because there are risks involved and there is no guaranty of a profit. Because of this, anyone considering investing in Bitcoin with the hope of making a guarantyd profit by observing the profits of others will undoubtedly be let down. Because those who invest in Bitcoin with the goal of making a guarantyd profit are unable to withstand market volatility, they frequently lose money as a result of making poor decisions.

However, those who invest with careful consideration of risk, volatility, and their own capabilities are able to sustain their investment even in the face of market volatility and stay steady in their pursuit of their objectives. Therefore, you must know what to do. If you enter Bitcoin in the wrong way in the hopes of making large profits quickly, even a small price decline can force many people to make poor decisions that will undoubtedly result in losses. Therefore, rather than viewing Bitcoin as a way to become wealthy overnight, hold it properly by thinking of it as a long-term asset, as it has more potential in the long run.

Altcoins investment sounds pretty much like gambling to me, because you mentioned that an investor can only be profitable in this kind of investment if they are lucky, and gambling is kinda like where we need luck to win or make profits. And you are in fact very correct, and the worst part of these type of investment isn’t even the volatility part but the unpredictability aspect, where an investor may not even know if the market he’s about to enter or invest in is just another pump and dump project or if they’re gonna get rug pulled the next minute, just too risky.
Yeah altcoin investment is more like gambling you need only luck to be profitable in that kind of investment but I said the truth because some investors likes to risk it because of the profit they can make it the luck shines on them. I do not encourage any good investor to venture into altcoin investment because it has no future plans and the outcome is usually unpredictable but I just mentioned that they can try short term plan if they wish to risk their money that's to the investors who doesn't want to use their money for a good investment that is going to give time profit in the future without involving much risk or depending on luck.

Bitcoin investment is the only investment that one has peace of mind especially if you are a long term investor, I wouldn't risk any altcoin investment because I like my investment to generate more profit for me in the future.

Profit is profit no matter how small or huge it is, you don't have to measure your profit as a small investor with those that invested huge amounts. The bigger the investment, the bigger the risk involved. If you were to lose your small investment in bitcoin, will you be comparing your loss to bigger investors? That's an absolute NO... So focus more knowledge building your bitcoin portfolio than making comparisons.

This is exactly were most people lost or missed it, especially those who do not have a big discretionary income. They will forget they don't have the same source of income with the person they want to follow and competite with and sometimes they go as far as touching or using their expenses money to purchase Bitcoin simply because they want to rub shoulder with someone who is by far bigger and greater than them. Self contented is very important in Bitcoin investment because it will make one not fo covet and make wrong decisions.
Many times, the main problem of small investors is not that they have less money, but rather that they want to compare themselves with others. If someone has a higher income and lower expenses, then clearly their regular purchase amount can also be higher. But if an investor with a lower income reduces his own food, rent, family or emergency needs while buying the same amount, then it is no longer an investment. It is putting pressure on himself. But putting pressure on investment is not the right decision. The main goal of Bitcoin savings should be to buy within his means. If someone can set aside even a small amount of discretionary income after meeting all his basic expenses, then that can be meaningful in the long run, if he can continue regularly. But if someone tries to buy more by competing with others, then he may be forced to sell that Bitcoin in a time of emergency. Then his whole plan can be ruined.

I believe that looking at others' successes and feeling envious is one of the biggest obstacles to calm and successful accumulation. You should always compare your past and present selves, and then you'll see only your own progress and not worry about other people's money. Other people's successes don't concern you, because you're on your own path as an investor. I've heard so many people boast, but they always gloss over their failures. So while such people may appear extremely successful, that's not always the case.
Investors are better off focusing on themselves and their own personal successes, which are reserved for those who are firm in their views and understand the basic principles of accumulation. Of course, I'm referring to DCA.

Great advice. Having good management of your spare time would help reduce the amount of focus you put on your wallet and charts at all time . If you get so engaged with improving your life, you tend to forget that you have some amount of bitcoin locked up in an address and that will relieve you from continuing to panic due to volatility.

It takes extreme self discipline to take a turn from trading to investing, not many traders have been able to pull out before it ruined their finances. This is a story of testing two sides of a coin and yea, sounds like a success story at the end.

Bitcoin trading has a way of making a trader to believe he's making profits when in the actual sense, there's no profit in trading. A person who's buying by DCA will have the required peace of mind to go as long as possible until he has made a good profit over a long-term.

Starting small is a great tool in the hands of beginners who are still in doubt when going into bitcoin investment. You can start small and over time if you start understanding better, you continue to increase your investments, you get used to holding and your panic drops to almost zero.

Watching the charts can also ruin a well planned bitcoin investment by causing tension and panic when nothing is actually happening. Some people have sold their bitcoin against their wishes and regretted the next minute.

Anyone who thinks Bitcoin will make them rich quick is mistaken, because we are talking about serious long-term investing. And this is not a matter of 'overnight' or even a year, but at least four years. JJG was absolutely right to describe a timeframe of even ten years, and believe me, as soon as you start investing by buying Bitcoin in parts (amounts that fit your pre-calculated budget), time starts flying by. However, it is important to focus not on the time, but on ensuring that everything keeps going according to your accumulation plan - so that you don't waver internally. But I am sure that anyone who starts investing via DCA won't be waking up anxiously at night to check TradingView the way traders do.

The big difference here isn’t just the potential profit, but whether the investor in question can actually understand they are actually holding in their bag. Majority of the altcoins survive on hype, narratives and continued market attention, which mostly makes their long term potential pretty difficult to assess. I can’t say don’t take the risk, but if anyone is aware of the potential risks and decides to take it regardless, then it’s crucial to treat it as speculative money and not to confuse a short term opportunity to be a reliable long term investment.

If that investor does not realize the difference soon, he will have to pay the price through losses. The sooner you understand that altcoins are dangerous and follow the hype, the sooner you will like Bitcoin and accumulate Bitcoin. I have seen most investors who started trading. They wasted a lot of time trying to maintain their position in the market in the greed of high profits and the amount of their lost funds was very high. They originally analyzed the market for trading but later they accumulated Bitcoin and built huge holdings.
