It's not a bad idea to expect profit in your Bitcoin investment, but it becomes a problem to you when you put it at the center of your investment, because the quest for profit may compel you to trade or sell off your Bitcoin holdings for minimal gains. In addition to that, it's going to keep your hopes too high to the point that if your Bitcoin investment is not going as expected, or it's declining rapidly you may sell in panic or your hopes may be shattered, because profit is not guaranteed in Bitcoin investment, so seeing it as a store of value is the best.

Do my thoughts have to match yours? I don’t think so. In this regard, we’re too quick to judge something that isn’t actually the case, considering that every investor has their own strategy and not all of them are willing to easily change their strategy to seek profits—as you mentioned—by selling or trading.
Trading isn’t always a bad thing either if the goal is to buy back Bitcoin in a different quantity at a lower price—and there’s no denying that some people do exactly that at certain times.
This is why many people have to do their own research or have their own strategies in investing and trading because everyone has different finances and different goals.

I actually see that neither of your statements is wrong because you both have your own strategies. The truth is, everyone basically expects profits from investing or trading, and that's very normal. Some people make profits from trading so they can have capital for Bitcoin investment, meaning they take advantage of opportunities to keep earning profits, but there are also those who just focus on buying Bitcoin and holding it long-term without watching the market. So indeed, everyone has a different way of investing in Bitcoin, but the mindset is still the same you have to see Bitcoin as a long-term store of value.
If someone sells and then buys more at a lower price and then uses it to invest, then they are not actually planning their investment correctly. Rather, they are relying on market speculation. No one knows whether the price will really fall. Many times, after selling in the hope of making a profit, the price does not come down and goes up. Then you have to enter the market with less Bitcoin than before or you have to sit around. This changes the basic concept of investment. The main strength of investment is time, patience, discretionary income, and regular savings.

Well a trader will never ask themselves this question, sure they are going to regret selling immediately but that because they would hope they had sold after the price went up again and I'm saying again because I'm assuming that the first time they sold they believe it was at a profit which is probably also true since they sold higher then what they bought.
But an investor would not have sold, they would have instead kept buying more and the price of bitcoin climbing higher would have been even more motivation for them to keep buying.
So while traders sell too early only to sometimes regret that sale an investor see reason to buy even more.

Small investors can make money from bitcoin. You don't need to own a lot of bitcoin to benefit from its growth. What matters is starting with money that doesn't interfere with your essential needs, accumulating consistently when your finances allow, and giving the investment enough time. The mistake most people makes is expecting a small investment to produce a huge profit quickly forgetting that long term investing is about what you can accumulate over years, not how much you can make over a short period of time.

The mistake most people makes is expecting a small investment to produce a huge profit quickly forgetting that long term investing is about what you can accumulate over years, not how much you can make over a short period of time.

I think another important thing here is that one should not rush to increase the investment amount after seeing a small investment. If you buy Bitcoin with a small amount at the beginning the portfolio may not seem very large especially when the price does not show much movement for a long time. But this does not mean that you have to invest more.

Rather if the financial situation is good the investment amount can be increased later as discretionary income increases. This does not create additional financial pressure on yourself from the beginning.

For me one of the good things about long term accumulation is that you do not have to build a large portfolio at the beginning. Income savings capacity and investment amount can all change over time. So starting small is not a problem the problem is when you start investing outside your financial situation in the rush to build a large portfolio.

Yeah, I mean, you are right. No need to go in debt and turn a great thing like Bitcoin into something bad that made you to go in debt. Answering the OP's question, small investors can profit from investing in Bitcoin, but it doesn't mean they should risk everything they have to profit more, if it seems to them that what they can invest is not enough for a "good" profit.
It's a matter of preference, if you don't want to take a loan to further your bitcoin investment because you don't think it's a smart idea, that doesn't mean someone else won't have a different opinion on the matter, I don't like the Idea of someone deciding to start their bitcoin investment with a loan but for someone who's been buying bitcoin long enough and already had their backup funds in place I will not disagree with taking a loan in an attempt to take advantage of an opportunity that makes itself available, like a DIP. What's important here is that they should not be planning on paying off the loan from their investment, they have to do so from their discretionary income which means they should only take the loan if they believe their discretionary income over time will be able to pay it off.

The main thing in investing in Bitcoin is how disciplined you are and how long you can hold it. Even a small investor can slowly build wealth. If he invests within his means. And does not put the necessary expenses of daily life at risk.
The biggest mistake is to expect big profits very quickly with small capital. Many people take excessive risks from this mentality. They panic and sell at the slightest market decline, and go into trading in the hope of quick profits. The power of long-term investment depends on time, consistency and the potential for wealth growth. Many people may think that today's small investment is small. But if you save regularly over a long period of time, it can take a significant shape.
The future value of Bitcoin is not guaranteed. Getting good returns in the past does not guarantee future profits. Therefore, the goal of long-term investment should not be to get rich overnight. Rather, it is to create a strong wealth base over a long period of time through small decisions.

It seems quite risky to invest with debt just because the price has fallen. Sometimes a drop in the price of Bitcoin can be an opportunity for us, but no one knows how deep the drop will be or how long it will last. When you buy Bitcoin with debt, you are increasing your risk and at the same time putting pressure on your own future cash flow. Don't forget that even if the market is weak for a few months or a few years, Bitcoin can wait, but you can't wait for loan installments, the lender will put pressure on you at the right time. Then you may be forced to sell at a loss and repay the loan.

You are making the mistake of thinking that the loan should be paid from your bitcoin investment, i will have to advise against that, if you ever consider using a loan to invest the plan should never be to pay back from your investment but from your discretionary income instead, that's why I said their discretionary income over time should be able to pay for the loan, if you can't manage that then don't even bother with trying to take a loan to invest with.
Right now I'm not sure I have any other reason for why a person can decide to invest with borrowed funds unless it's to be able to buy a DIP, after all it's a good way to increase your holdings with less, otherwise just buy with what you have.

Loan to invest in Bitcoin, that risk is even higher than how other people taking the risk. What will be the use if taking loan to invest in Bitcoin, the best thing is to invest gradually with the money you are earning from what you do. There is no need to rush in bitcoin investment investment rather a gradual process is not bad, since it's a long time durability you will surely make money from bitcoin.

The first question to ask them is if investing in bitcoin is compulsory. If they say it's not, then ask them why they want to take loan to invest when they know it's not even compulsory to invest. Loan is meant for emergency situations when you have no single options left to handle the situation, then you can consider loan. Some people see loan as their first to go option when it's supposed to be their last option.

Investment is optional, it's very risky both in digital and physical. Taking loan to invest mean you're taking two risk at the same time. Investment could gone wrong but you'll still have to pay your lender through another means. Your investment should either elevate your financial status or at least should make you stronger in your current status but should not demote you. Loan get you demoted if your investment failed. Always invest your money, the one you can afford to lose.

To be honest it’s easy to talk about Bitcoin and market cycles, but nobody talks about the actual sleepless nights. When you invest money you actually have, then the price drops, but it doesn't break you. The moment you use borrowed money, that debt hangs over your head every single morning. To anyone who has actually taken out a loan to buy Bitcoin, how did you handle that mental pressure when the market turned against you?

Loans add extra pressure to an investor, so it is better to invest with your own money without taking a loan. But it does not mean that you cannot invest with a loan. If a person's financial situation is good, he can take a loan if necessary. There are many investors who have made better profits from investing with a loan. Taking a loan is not logical for everyone. Those who do not have their own money or do not have the proper capacity to repay the loan will face more disasters if they take a loan. Moreover, another important point is that the psychological pressure of those who take a loan will be higher than other ordinary investors. If those who take a loan face losses, they will have to bear additional interest costs along with the loan amount. Which can make the investor miserable.

It seems quite risky to invest with debt just because the price has fallen. Sometimes a drop in the price of Bitcoin can be an opportunity for us, but no one knows how deep the drop will be or how long it will last. Don't forget that even if the market is weak for a few months or a few years, Bitcoin can wait, but you can't wait for loan installments, the lender will put pressure on you at the right time. The loan installments must be paid from discretionary income. At the same time, it is not wrong that the main purpose of saving Bitcoin is to buy regularly. The purpose of investing is not to increase the risk by taking a loan to get a cheap price. People do not want to understand that a loan is not your discretionary income. Rather, taking a loan means taking a loan from your future potential discretionary income, which creates a liability on your future income. You might have had the opportunity to buy more in the future if you had not taken a loan. There is no guarantee that you will even have the same amount of income, expenses, and discretionary income in the future. If your income stops in the future, you lose your job, or you have family expenses or emergency medical expenses, you will have no choice but to be forced to sell.

For me the right way to invest does not start with buying Bitcoin but with setting up your financial foundation. First you need to properly manage your living expenses family responsibilities urgent needs, and other financial obligations. After eliminating these the discretionary income that remains should be invested from that money.

At the same time you need to have a good long term plan. Create an emergency fund do regular DCA and keep long term goals in mind instead of short term fluctuations in the market. These are much more important to me. It is definitely better to have an emergency fund in advance. And if you don't have one then you can gradually build an emergency fund along with investing. The aim is to create a financial position where you don't have to sell Bitcoin if there is a sudden problem. And I would be very careful about investing in Bitcoin with a loan in the beginning. Because no matter how much you believe in the long term potential of Bitcoin, there is a repayment obligation with borrowed money. If the market goes against you that debt can put you under emotional pressure and force you to sell at the worst time.

A much more sustainable approach is to do DCA regularly within your means and to have a long-term mindset of 4–10 years or more. It doesn't matter how much money you start investing with it's how disciplined you are in investing over the long term that matters. First, take care of your life and financial security. Then, put the money that you can really invest in the long term in Bitcoin.

You should build your financial position in such a way that you can be calmly on the sidelines of Bitcoin's long term journey. Don't invest what you need to survive. Invest what you can patiently leave untouched for the long term. That's the essence of sustainable Bitcoin investing for me.

There is no other way around it except investing only your own money. If you feel pressure from investing borrowed money, you won’t be able to get rid of that pressure. No one can predict the market perfectly or tell you exactly when you should take out a loan to buy Bitcoin so that you can guarantee the market will go up. You will have to decide for yourself when to buy. I think that if you want to use borrowed money, then apart from being a stress resistant investor, you also need to be an excellent analyst who can understand when it is the right time to buy and when the market is likely to be on an upward trend.

That's the reason why people are advised to use the DCA for investment cause with it there would be less worry about the dip, only people who trade and couldn't manage it properly, worry about the dip not investors, especially when the investor is consistently buying even those who use other strategies other than DCA shouldn't worry cause the goal is to hold for long term.

The worst mistake anyone would make is to borrow money to invest without having a means of paying back. I don't encourage taking loans for investment but if the person can pay back within the timeframe for payment then it's okay but shouldn't be done constantly so it doesn’t become a habit.

The DCA strategy happens to be the best strategy because investors aren't disturbed about predicting or timing the market in other to buy at a perfect entry price, so the DCA help reduced the stress that comes with timing the market. The dip should always be seen as an opportunity for buying more bitcoin at a lower price. Long term investors should focus on accumulating bitcoin and being consistent in order to be able to build a good bitcoin holdings over time and not to be disturbed by short term market trends.

Borrowing money to invest in bitcoin isn't a good idea because it can become a problem  when we are unable to raise the money and hoping to payback from profit that will be realised from the investment is wrong. The best thing is to best with an amount that we can afford to lock out for years , that is discretionary income without it affecting our essential needs.

I wonder how those that take loan and invest in the Bitcoin will survive if they eventually lose all the money, and that’s why people keep advised that we should never rush into bitcoin investments. Because rushing into the investment will not give us good results at the end of day, gradually investments is even more better than some to go and take loan just because they don’t want to wait for the right time.

Those that we are seeing have make it today through Bitcoin investments, is not that all of them use the Bitcoin amount to start up their investments. Most of them start with the little amounts and gradual increase towards, but some people think that if they didn’t use big amounts they will not make it.

There's nothing like an excellent analyst because the market is unpredictable and no one can know what will happen in the market next. This is why traders run at loss overtime because they feel that they're perfect enough to outsmart the market. Long term bitcoin investor doesn't have anything to do with analysing the market. All he need to do is to make sure that he is ongoing accumulating bitcoin with DCA overtime, till he reaches his bitcoin target.

A brand new investor shouldn't even think about taking a loan to start his bitcoin investment because he still new and hasn't understand his cash inflow management properly or have been able to figure out if he has a discretionary income or not and how much he can use to buy bitcoin from his discretionary income that wouldn't affect him financially. He will  mess up with his financial situation if he tries taking a loan to start his bitcoin investment

Right time in bitcoin huh, there is nothing like right time. Timing the market is just very dumb for my likening because I don't even know what anyone can gain by doing that. Or you think timing he market will make person buy at the exact bottom and sell when price enter the top huh? Come off it man, nobody can be that smart to know the movement of bitcoin until it has moved. This is why I pity those who keep on waiting for the  price of bitcoin to come down before they buy

Also wtf would person want to pressure theirself with investing with loan. Loan isn't discretionary income, so you will just be gambling if you use it to invest. Investment is not  a competition, so why not person just invest only in the time that there is discretionaey income.
