Atcoins investment gives fast profit if you are lucky to invest in a coin that has good potentials to pump and you are very fast to take your profit but it doesn't favour investors all the time because it doesn't give a long profit it only gives you fast profit if pick a good one but others who aren't lucky will face the consequences when it dumps. A good investor will not include any altcoin for long term project because most of the projects are pump and dump and holding them will cost you everything you have because once they crash they may not bounce back again. Investors who are into the business for long will use altcoin to risk some amount just to see if they can take fast profit but when they plan for long term they know the right asset to invest in which is bitcoin.

Investment should be for the future and not about short time profit because that's what will mislead you into losses since buying altcoins is the same thing as gambling. You might think that you will be smart to make profit from altcoins but the opposite is the case for many. Since, investment is to preserve wealth or pile up wealth for your future. Bitcoin is the best and should only be focused on. Altcoins are distractions because this was how I bought some altcoins in the beginning and regretted it.

Since, the creation of bitcoin, the price have been increasing till date and that shows that it's a good asset to buy, grow your stash and hodli for long-term. Altcoins are centralized making it a no go area for me anymore because I love bitcoin for giving me the opportunity to be my own bank and the decentralized nature it has. Altcoins investment sounds pretty much like gambling to me, because you mentioned that an investor can only be profitable in this kind of investment if they are lucky, and gambling is kinda like where we need luck to win or make profits. And you are in fact very correct, and the worst part of these type of investment isn’t even the volatility part but the unpredictability aspect, where an investor may not even know if the market he’s about to enter or invest in is just another pump and dump project or if they’re gonna get rug pulled the next minute, just too risky.

The truth of the matter is that many investors who are coming into the crypto space have a short term mindset on Bitcoin. They can't wait that long for the little money they invest in Bitcoin to give them many profits. That's why they choose to invest in higher-risk coins (altcoins), thinking that will give them the reasonable profits they desire, instead of Bitcoin whose future price is unknown to everyone.

That depend on the altcoin because from all of altcoins, you may only get less than 50 or even only 20 work altcoins. The investment time may not takes too long so you should be careful selecting the coin. Besides that, the risk will be too big because no one know which altcoin will increases short or long term. If you want to avoid big risks and play for long term, Bitcoin will be better than altcoin so you only use altcoin for short term investment. You should remember that altcoin follow Bitcoin movement and if Bitcoin down, the down for altcoin could be too deep. That will makes you panic and makes a short decision. If you are a small investor and want to invest in Bitcoin, the strategy will be buy gradually and hodl for some years, 4-5 years at least so you will see the profit.
