Great tool nutildah

Looks like I'm safe for now.

Also please don't post screenshots of your scores here, thanks, unless you got a sigban and you really want to.

This proves that scoring is not accurate. Simple reading comprehension is zero yet you’re elite poster?  Cheesy
Looks like my post count isn't enough to get a correct evaluation. Who knows maybe I will get sigban. I don't think the tool is incorrect. Maybe your main got a garbage score Grin

Typical garbage reply. Making an assumption instead of admitting that he didn’t read before posting.

I’m not pajeet beggar like you that using merit source to beg for merit and proceed on applying to signature campaign when you have opportunity.  Cry

Your account is a typical merit whore gang farmer style. Daddy Hhampuz will surely employ you soon same with the rest of the gang.  Grin

PS: Your account smells an alt account miles away. I hope Nutildah truly ban you.

Banned from displaying signatures until Bitcoin 1M

Along with this information are messages triggered when certain thresholds are met, meant to inform the user of ways in which they might be able to improve their score. Please note that the generation and analysis of these scores is just one part of a larger process that involves manual review before issuing a sigban.

Non-sigbanned members are of course also welcome to look their scores up, and encouraged if they feel their posts might need some improvement.

How much you will be dependent on this tool? I know this tool will help you lot to determine a user's quality of posts. Are you checking all the stats manually if a user is hit a low score?

I think you should not totally rely on this tool , atleast before giving a sig ban mannual verify would be the ideal scenerio.
A suggestion for your tool , I would like to know the scoring system . Which formula you did used to determine a user's score. Also if you could make a extension version of it, we can use it and watch each user's rating and we may report their post's confidently after watching the score. Well atleast this would help.

Here is the answer to your question. Everything is already given here, just try to read between the lines, and you'll understand.  Wink

If I gave away the exact formula it would make the system easier to game. I provided hints in the OP and throughout the thread, and they're also found in the score messages. Ideally, those looking to game the system will game themselves into being better, more thoughtful posters.

The goal of all this is to encourage better conversation on the forum, not to punish anybody for their behavior. This is a novel implementation and I may get things wrong occasionally.

Additionally, I have no intention of trying to set new policies on the forum, but rather apply pre-existing ones in a different way.

You say the goal isn't to punish anyone, but you do it anyway. I understand the purpose of this effort and I think it's a good one. I mean improving post quality.

However, if the goal isn't punishment, there should be information about what needs to be improved, and only if there's no improvement, then punishment. Here, it seems like the opposite.

You wanted him to write to you an email informing you to improve on the posting quality?

Some of these things are self-explanatory. When for example your post is deleted, you are most like going to receive an email talking about the deletion and possible reasons why it was deleted. This is more than enough to give you a heads-up to improve on your post quality.

Now when you continue to the same thing, you are going to be handed over a more serious awakening. Isn't that fair?

nutildah, is the main goal of this new website to create a score of all Bitcoin Talk active accounts?  If so, maybe it becomes a lot easier if you create an alternative account and ignore everyone you already scored to see which ones have not been scored yet?

-----

To everyone else.  I believe it is pretty disrespectful that some of you continue conversations on this Topic considering nutildah has respectfully asked us to stop or move to another separate Topic.

Please, this thread is already messy, and its not meant for general opinions. Its for sigban appeals and questions related to the process. I would have made it self-moderated if it were an option.

If you are not a sigban recipient and insist on sharing your opinion, there is already a thread for that.

Thanks for being considerate.

if the goal isn't punishment, there should be information about what needs to be improved

Did you try putting your user ID in this tool yet? I made this specifically for people like you who want a better understanding of why their posts are being considered low quality in general.

Here's another honest word of advice. Before hitting the "Post" button, ask yourself:

- is this something I would read all the way through in my spare time?
- am I saying anything compelling, original or insightful?
- when I make these kinds of posts, does anyone seem to read them or care?

If the answer is "no" to 2 or more of these questions, then that's a good sign you probably need to improve your post before hitting the button.

And again, I'm in no way limiting you from expressing yourself however you want. This is just friendly advice.

Its nice to have a good-size data set to work with for the purpose of drawing averages and identifying outliers. That is a more elegant approach to capturing the population of active users than what I've been doing. Aside from accounts that are just becoming full members or recently waking up, I pretty much got all of them. But maybe I will do something like that in the future.

You've pulled a real twist here.

My last delated post was: March 26, 2021, 02:59:23 PM
My all posts deleted by moderators: 16 (I checked, you also have 16 posts deleted by moderators Wink )

The point is to improve the quality of posts, right? We agree. My point is that for this to succeed, education is necessary. Education after punishment is a bit of a medieval approach. And no, it's not fair.

Yes, it's good that you created this metric. I'll spend an hour or two checking a dozen or so users, and I'll figure out which forum sections I need to post in to get more points. The content of my posts is good, so it's probably just about the number of sections, because I only posted in two.

As I said, I thought the forum was for discussing topics we wanted. As I can see, that's not entirely true. I'll start posting wherever you want. You play the music here boss!

I just need to find out where the Merit farms are, and I'll score a lot of points. You'll be proud of me!  Wink

You might be surprised to learn that sigban recipients post in these sections as well.

Sure you can't forbid me, but you can give me a sigban for it  Cheesy

I don't think I'll be surprised.

Anyway, I found this:

Code:
+-------------------------+----------------+
| Sub Forum               | Importance (%) |
+-------------------------+----------------+
| Development & Technical | 28%            |
| Bitcoin Discussion      | 22%            |
| Mining                  | 13%            |
| Marketplace             | 12%            |
| Altcoin                 | 8%             |
| Meta & Reputation       | 7%             |
| Local Boards            | 7%             |
| Gambling                | 3%             |
+-------------------------+----------------+

Are these the sections we need to write posts in proportion to earn points with you?

No. That has nothing to do with what I'm doing. And what I'm doing doesn't work like that at all. Where did you find that?

edit: OK, I see where its from. No, that's not how it works. There are plenty (hundreds or even thousands) of posters in the Gambling Discussion board that do not need to do a single thing other than what they've already been doing for years. You, however, are not one of them.

Please report any bugs you might find. Thank you.
I believe this could be considered a bug

Two different users both bearing same score and percentage but different remark.
The first is bearing the same remark with those that were considered Elite.

How much you will be dependent on this tool? I know this tool will help you lot to determine a user's quality of posts. Are you checking all the stats manually if a user is hit a low score?

If you check out the site you would see this and I believe the scoring is kinda lenient.

Two different users both bearing same score and percentage but different remark.
The first is bearing the same remark with those that were considered Elite.

This is intentional and suggests one user score is higher within the top 25% range than the other.

I should clarify a couple things:

1. The system was not developed to measure how good a poster's posts are, but rather how not good they are. So long as you are in that middle 50% or higher, you are fine.* Unless you are using AI to write your posts for you, in which case all bets are off.

2. Scores are not continuously updated and won't be updated for at least another week or two. I will let everyone know here when they are, in case anybody is waiting.

* "most likely" fine; I don't want to offer definite certainty... just don't plagiarize or cheat while writing your posts.
