This user has been inactive since 2021 and the project they were/are advertising has been dead for a while. A lot of the time when users drop off the forum, they leave their signature and avatar as is. I thought this farm all changing their signatures and avatars to Rainbet (even though they're not in a campaign) was extremely odd. There's a chance they did it just to prove they could do it, to potential clients. But their signature space should not be for rent either way. In this specific case, the link won't lead anywhere. However, it's easy for someone who was previously identified as abusing alt accounts and the like to continue having their signature active, allowing them to share links that are there and take advantage of the forum's ranking in search engines. This is more related to SEO than to the forum itself. However, in cases where members have already been accused of this type of abuse, I believe their signatures should also be removed. Otherwise, keep up the good work, which must have been considerable in recent days. Thanks to nutildah for helping out! Since they are easy to appeal and don't harm the user's ability to speak, sigbans are a good way of addressing users who don't have any single post which breaks the rules, but whose posts seem to contribute more noise than signal. Note that I just now made a couple of adjustments: - Sigbans now also hide avatars, personal text, and website icons next to posts. - Sigbans are now listed in the modlog. I believe that this "blocking" of the avatar is not working on the profile page of users with the banned signature. It should also make sense to disable the avatar on the user's page. Don't you think so?

I'm surprised that you're one of those who got signature banned. I joined your free contest in the games and rounds board before, and I know you do make quality posts from time to time. But yeah it doesn't mean you're free from sig ban. lol I think you may have missed this part of the OP. And I guess this is the reason why you were signature banned: - Consistent burst posting (regularly writing posts less than 10 minutes apart). Thanks for your support xlays, it was not in my plans also to get signature banned maybe you are correct and it was because of that, i dont really control on how much time i made the posts. I tried not to spend a ton of time on the forum this last year so most of my post are gonna be between the 10/15 minutes to half an hour. But i feel like it was a little excesive to put me a 6 months ban because of that. About the contest, well yes i have to made some new ones, i thinked about making one for the WC but i saw it was so full of promotions, contest, and other things in the GR board that i ended up not doing one, plus after what i made in the past i was just trying to earn some more money to make another one since i dont use sponsors.

Your posts are terrible, generic, short and low quality. The time between posts adds to the case, it does not define the case. Having a topic/project/contest or two somewhere should not create a special exemption for anything -- otherwise that creates yet another attack vector for abuse by account farmers. If you want to participate in signature campaigns, then improve your post quality. If you don't want to participate, then ignore your signature ban. Your ban is appropriate, I have checked your post history as soon as you wrote about it here. Examples as evidence: Yes we can all agree that Mancini is way better than Prilo, but we also all know that Italy needs fresh things and Mancini is part of the old football so i dont know what to really think, for me both of them are not the right option for the italian federation, they need to start to look outside if they dont have any good coach around, but seems like their patriotic proud is making them stick with Italian coachs.
I read some of your comments about my last comment, and yes some of you point out about Dany Welbeck was not a bad deal for Chelsea and maybe it is ok and Dany still ahve something to give as a player and for not so much money but the main problem for me about it is that is CHELSEA i mean come on they need to build a team to fight at top and with high profile players, and this is not looking like that, i know they are now with low budget after spending a lot in other seasons, but damn.
Messi can never be replaced because is Messi, but i feel like Argentina can fix the team and can find the way to play at high level as always, but the first years could be hard if they dont find a formation which suit and setled fast, but i have good hope on them since Nico Paz seems to be a young new star and they have some other young players who wants to write his own history.
Generic, short, minimum effort posts in a pattern. It has nothing to do with your English ability, you are just not putting any effort in and you want to be rewarded for this. 6 months is not excessive, it is very generous and understanding.

First of all i never asked for any specific excemption. Second all the quoted post are on topic and have total sense maybe you dont watch football, they are generic? I dont think so. terrible? maybe for you and i understand that, low quality..... mmmm depends on how read it but it could be since im not gonna made a 458754512 word statement everytime i comment on a thread. Seems like you are a top quality poster who writes 458787457 words in each post you made and that is ok and enrich every discussion but you cant hope and think everyone is gonna write that ammount of words in their comments.

Many of you will learn now that posting only on gambling board will not safe you. There are new topics, try to contribute also there than only to be posting on gambling mega threads. But the way you are posting is making it look like you may continue like this after the sigban expiration which can let you get sigban again. Know what you are doing is when you will not get the sigban but you are posting like you do not know what you are doing by avoiding corrections.

I tried not to spend a ton of time on the forum this last year so most of my post are gonna be between the 10/15 minutes to half an hour. But i feel like it was a little excesive to put me a 6 months ban because of that. Nutildah did state in the OP and on a comment that, to be sig banned means you must have being found wanting on at least 2 of the stated rules and he wasn’t going to sig ban anyone on a single offense, so that means it’s sure to be a habitual thing before he drops the hammer. Just did a pip on your posts and they seemed to follow a template and was almost exclusively on gambling. I suppose that was some of the kicker. Looking at the rules, I think some of the ones I’ve bolded out here did apply in your case. Your ban was issued because your recent posting habits fall below forum standards of quality. Substandard posting habits considered in the decision to issue the ban include at least two of the following:- Unoriginal or low effort replies, including inappropriate use of AI content. - Repetitive, previously-expressed or generic comments that don’t add value or encourage conversation. - Consistent burst posting (regularly writing posts less than 10 minutes apart). - Off‑topic posting or shallow engagement (doesn't provide insight, analysis or perspective). - Posting in principle for signature campaign payment and not for the sake of contributing actual discussion. If you believe your signature ban is incorrect or you've made some improvement to your posting habits, please feel free to explain your case below. 6 month could be a long time but, that’s why the thread directs that your sig ban can be appealed and I suppose being of good behavior going forward would send a good signal.

Hi nutildah and everyone in this thread.
I just realize im banned from signatures today, i dont know why, im not a spammer or a shitposter, my quality can improve yes, but most of my post could be write by a bad english since is not my mother tongue and i prefer to be organic and not use a traslator and even less an IA.
I think is part of my way of writing. So please if you can review my case. Thanks!
As others correctly pointed out, you do too much post bursting. Whether we call it post bursting or burst posting, its the same thing, and Yahoo came up with a good definition for it several years ago, which I largely agree with: Burstposting definition- A person that makes a posts then 1-5 minutes later makes another, and another, and another. I will not add someone here for burstposting if they have 1 post right after another every once in awhile. Sometimes a person reads the forum and makes a reply, then sees another topic they have a constructive reply for, but if quite a few of your posts are 1 right after the other, then you'll find yourself here.
There are a few rare users who can post one post after the other and it be constructive but in most cases that's not the case. I would be less apt to say anything to a user who wasn't wearing a paid signature. Just looks like a user is posting trying to get paid as much as possible...
The main problem with your posts is they seem to rarely be made for the sake of saying something that hasn't already been expressed many times before, so making them in quick succession doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I should clarify for everyone that spelling has nothing to do with score calculation. Of course properly-spelled writing is more pleasant to digest but you won't be marked down simply because you're a bad speller or English isn't your native language. Also, using Grammarly or something like that may not be the best idea as it strips originality from posts and leaves them more robotic feeling. Its better to have bad writing and express original ideas than have good writing and express generic ideas. Anyways i support the central idea and the work you are doing, is good to see someone is trying to clean the forum from spammers and most important clean it of farming accounts.
Thanks for being understanding.
edit: I updated the OP to include answers to the most frequently asked questions thus far.

Many of you know me, and a few of you even know me personally. I agree with this new way of dealing with spam and low quality posts from spammers or similar. I got signature banned until October 2026 and I'm not here to appeal because if I did something wrong , I need to be punished. My last posts weren't my best and I know that...and it has been like this for the last 2-3 months ...and it's true as I had weeks with 1 post or 2-3 max. I had a rough period in my personal life and because of that I made a some rushed posts during the last month but I never intended to harm the forum rules. However , that's on me and I accept the punishment.

Hi everyone, I respect the decision taken regardless of its consequences. What I was waiting for, maybe as an old forum member, a contributor in many interesting topics and feeling myself at my second home, is to have some sort of warning before taking such action. By warning I mean, a little message asking to post in multiple sections of the forum for example, to write posts with some delay between them...etc (well, a little bit controversial). Everyone has his habits and myself has a small window of time to visit the forum due to my obligations. I used to read the news, mainly sports, before coming to the forum so I know what I will discuss with the other members or post new things. It depends from what I find. I respect the stats and where to place me in but stats shouldn't impose on others where to post. This will force people here to literally spam or use AI and post something that they barely handle. I retracted myself from many sections in the forum because I don't find relevant things most of the time. Other sections contain a lot of harsh discussions and fights, I prefer to avoid them too. I don't want to be linked to any clan. Best regards.

Well, nothing has ended yet, as it is only a Signature ban and not an account ban. You can always use the tool developed by nutildah, take note of those points, and try to improve yourself. If you try to remain active, have willingness to improve, your ban will be removed one day. Here is your "Area of Improvement" when I put your user Id in that tool. Good Luck bro.

That would be completely biased and unfair towards everyone else, having user account seniority does not mean you are a substantial contributor of the forum. I've checked your posts as well and the ban is appropriate, albeit it is quite lenient for the magnitude of shitposting that you are doing. This will force people here to literally spam or use AI and post something that they barely handle. Best regards.
They literally already are doing this, so inventing consequences will not lead to a removal of your ban. The solution to this kind of 3rd world bullshit is severe and fast punishments, that is the only way that these parasites learn anything.

Accept your punishment, because the data so far on the bans indicate that there is a 100% chance that you have been correctly punished. If I knew you from before, I would give you more merit for this -- but since I don't, I have to also retain some skepticism on the honesty given what we have seen from many users so far. I do hope that this is genuine and commend you for doing things the right way. It takes a big person to admit and try to change course.

They don't. As I said the other day, there are hundreds or maybe even a thousand accounts that regularly or even mainly post in Gambling Discussion who've been doing it for years, and they don't have anything to worry about. They don't need to change anything. You are of course still free to post wherever you like about whatever you like -- that was never up for debate.

Shitposting might have many definitions. For me, it is someone who is writing sentences, whether it is long or short, without saying anything. At the opposite of the posts above and under you, your post qualify for this definition. Don't feel offended by that, it is just my point of view, like I accepted yours. -snip-
I already consulted that to take information before making my post. Thanks for that. -snip-
Thanks for your reply. I wrote what I have found on the comments. You can find it in the image posted by virasog. I read it also many times here by many influential members. I respect your position and that should be the standard but it is not for everyone in the forums unfortunately.

Its definitely not for everyone, including anyone who doesn't care about campaigns or isn't advertising something in their sig space. The truth is there's no perfect way to do this that can make everyone satisfied.

I compiled a list of the most asked questions, along with their answers
I first came across the term "Signature Ban" in another thread, but I couldn't find any explanation there of what it actually meant. So I searched the forum and found this thread. Even in nutildah's FAQ, Signature Ban itself is not clearly defined. To get a proper understanding, you have to read through the discussion carefully. I assume this new measure was announced somewhere and I simply missed the announcement. But perhaps it would be helpful for people like me to add a clear explanation to the opening post. I would formulate it like this: Signature Ban is a temporary restriction that prevents a user from displaying an advertising signature and related profile elements alongside their posts, without restricting their ability to read the forum or publish posts. It is imposed for a specified period, such as 30, 90, 180, or 360 days.
It may be lifted early or shortened following an appeal - or extended if the appeal is unsuccessful. Once the ban expires, the user's signature may be banned again if they have not improved their posting habits.By the way, have I understood everything correctly, or am I missing something? Also, perhaps this thread should be pinned?
