It's sad to find out that I got a signature ban today. I feel myself lucky as it's a short-term ban. Can the quality posters of the forum tell me where I've made a mistake by analyzing my last posts? Because I don't think that I'm at fault and this is even worse.

Because I'll get another ban if I continue making posts in the same way. Can you help me with this situation?  Huh

As I wrote before already I don't think I deserve this signature ban. It has also emerged that signature ban decisions made on Gambling board could be faulty as of the removal of arallmuus' ban. I've waited for the end of arallmuus' process to object to my ban. Because arallmuus' case is a great precedent for me.

In short I'm also requesting a 3rd party to reassess my ban too.

The appeal for arallmuus has been completed and I reversed the sigban.

Thanks to Rikafip for volunteering his time. What I learned was that there are other measures of post value that I was failing to take into account, and that was my mistake. I will be more careful and take this possibility into consideration before issuing any future sigbans.

Thanks, a favorable outcome done in a timely manner.
If it's not too much to ask, please apply the same parameters for users ILuckyGuyI and Jinetics1111 and see if there's room to reduce/remove their sigbans as well. They are the only remaining active pool participants on the list of banned users.

I assume many will now request their accounts to be re-scanned and even more drama will occur. I think I can collectively say - sorry for the extra work but this was an important step in the legitimacy of the process.

If nothing else, the last few pages of this thread clearly show that some people clearly can't participate in the forum without being paid for it. If signatures were banned, the entire Gambling board would disappear in a week, and the first to stop writing would be those who think they were unfairly banned.

I confirmed that my sigban has been revoked. Thank you Nutildah for taking on my appeal case and Rikafip that acted as the 3rd party mediator regarding the appeal.

As for sigban in general, I dont reject the idea at all.

The general idea of sigban is to reduce spam which usually comes from accounts that post garbage just for the sake of getting paid from signature campaign and its clearly shown on Bitlist that alot of accounts that received sigbans stopped posting  (-100% change in avg ). Most of these accounts post garbage on gambling board and we from the gambling community are also aware of this issue. This also probably why on a very rare case, some genuine accounts that contribute on actual discussion there might gets flagged but its also why the appeal thread exist, for a genuine account to plead their case

My post might not have alot of weight on sigban discussion as Im on the lower end of criteria based on the tools but alot of people have so far posted some valid concerns, opinion and recommendation on some part of the process but all of them never rejected the idea of sigban either

I personally want to thank everyone that chime in the discussion so far. Some shown support and some posted valid neutral judgement on my case. Others posted neutral concern on sigban in general which is valid and could be taken as a recommendation moving forward

I post on this forum without a signature when you didn't even know this forum or Bitcoin existed. Instead of me removing my signature for no good reason, how about you and those like you stop whining because you don't want to participate in the forum without being paid?

> I saw my profile on the tool and was honestly a bit surprised to see me ranked in bottom 10-25% of posters. I know for sure I'm not as good as the seniors. But I have in my post history definitely called out shitposters in gambling and reported them and hoped their campaign manager saw it. Little did I know I was also considered a low quality poster lol.

I am not sure if lower score implies being a LQP (pardon me if it's explained before, I am not willing to go through several pages of comments), but if it does you are definitely not one as I have interacted with you a few times before and I always read your comments, and you are as genuine as one could get.

If my opinion matters, you can be assured, you ain't biased towards yourself that you considered yourself as ok.

Do you get paid for each signature ban issued, or is it just a flat monthly paycheck regardless?
This isn't the kind of question you think you should be afraid to ask from your main account.

Any work should be paid for, whether it's moderating or maintaining order on the forum.

I too was in shock that I was sig banned especially with no forewarning and I understand that you have to keep the forum tidy and clear of shitposters and people trying to game the sig campaign system. But I for sure am not one of those individuals as I have been posting on here for quite some time now and participated in a lot of pools and discussions even without being in a sig campaign, to be apart of them is a bonus and not something I was posting on here for to begin with, and yeah I'm in the gambling section mostly cause that is my interest and that community has accepted me with open arms. I've met a lot of great guys on there who I would like to say I've formed a brotherhood with and it's been nothing but top notch but whatever is to come of my ban I hope we can figure out a different direction as I already see that a fellow BSFL bro (arallmuus) has had his lifted and maybe an appeal can made also on my behalf.

i second to your request

it is surprising with the kind of hypocrisy that happens on this forum

someone is putting on gambling advertising signature codes and at the same time kicking against those who make posts in the gambling discussions board

are we fighting spammers and shit posters or we are fighting gambling discussion posters

if this fight is against one section of the forum they should tell us

it's about time hhampuz and other casino campaign managers begin a purge on those who are against gambling discussions, they can't be wearing casino ads and be saying shits about gambling discussion posters.

This is where the fun begins, when 1 person is free, then is there no jealousy for other accounts who want to demand justice?
not having a gang, not having influential acquaintances, is there still a chance to be free in this way? Huh Huh Huh

You want my spot in the campaign? I can surpass you and those like you with my eyes closed at any time. The only thing that needs to be purged from the forum are leeches like you and others like you - it's a good thing this topic exists because a lot of you will be exposed.

I don't know if I can consider myself part of the gang or if I'm even relevant to say this, but yeah I can definitely see how being part of such group/gang can be an advantage. That's actually the reason why I said in my previous post in this thread: why is arallmuss the only one receiving this kind of treatment?

Given the circumstances, I understand that some users genuinely deserve sigban. But what about users like arallmuss who don't deserve to be sigban, and don't have someone influential users who can speak up for them compared what arallmuss sigban case support received?

This is why I suggested that it shouldn't be just one person who gets to judge whether someone deserves sigban, especially now that sigbans have become thing. There should be multiple people involved in judging each sigban case from the beginning, so the decision is fairer and not dependent on just one person's judgment.

This isn't the kind of question you think you should be afraid to ask from your main account.

Why take a risk? It feels a blunt and a controversial question, and who knows people's tolerance, just in case somebody gets offended.

Where are the smerits when you need 'em?

If nothing else, the last few pages of this thread clearly show that some people clearly can't participate in the forum without being paid for it. If signatures were banned, the entire Gambling board would disappear in a week, and the first to stop writing would be those who think they were unfairly banned.

What I saw on these last few pages was a series of alternative accounts that were created solely and exclusively to attack other members.

The same people who created these accounts are most likely the same ones who already have two or three accounts, trying to obtain subscription campaigns or other advantages found on the forum.

So let them appear, because that way they'll be flagged from the start.

Given the circumstances, I understand that some users genuinely deserve sigban. But what about users like arallmuss who don't deserve to be sigban, and don't have someone influential users who can speak up for them compared what arallmuss sigban case support received?

It's true that arallmuus had users who started appealing even before he did.

But it's also true that his appeal wasn't simply: "My ban was unfair, I want to contest it, I request a review."
He appealed, explaining the situation and his point:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5588886.msg67027277#msg67027277

The outcome simply shows that it's possible to have a ban reversed. Therefore, it demonstrates that the system works.

It's not about giving in to pressure; someone had to be the first. Because it's impossible for any analysis to be infallible. Of course it can be improved, and it is being improved as the system progresses.

As I said before, I haven't analyzed the arallmous case in depth, but the numbers don't lie. He was the only one of those banned so far who maintained his participation rate.

After him I see Jinetics1111, Sonia_123, ILuckyGuyI, dzonikg28 and Abiky, not far behind his media (but a little below - maybe the weekend?).

The other banned users have practically stopped posting. They are probably mostly alt accounts.

No, I'm not doing that.

Everyone should be aware that the only opinions that matter here are those of the sigbanned and their peers. This does not include campaign managers or contest organizers. I'm not interested in hearing what anyone who gets paid directly by a casino has to say.

If you are sigbanned and want to appeal, make it straight away, don't wait until you feel the tide of support offers you some free momentum.

Lying doesn't look good on you. I made the first appeal. After you said that you were going to give me 3 months of signature ban due to being a good poster I didn't want to mess with this nonsense anymore. Later I followed the process of arallmuus' appeal. After I saw the support for him I waited for its result.

Anyway, you accepted that you could make mistakes by removing arallmuus' ban as a result. I guess you are afraid of a 3rd party to investigate your bans because you know that you are unfair. I think accepting their mistake is the best way for a person to demonstrate virtue.

Lying doesn't look good on you. I made the first appeal.

You did not make an appeal. This is what you wrote:

You're not even addressing me, you're addressing "the quality posters of the forum". I explained the reason for the ban to you, and then you stopped commenting until yesterday.

I was asked to close this thread after it reached 10-20 pages, and we're there. Going forward, those wishing to appeal should make a separate sigban appeal thread in Meta with the words "Sigban Appeal for (username)" in the subject.

Thank you.
