I'm curious to hear whether anyone else has ever experienced something similar.

I don't believe in superstition when buying lottery tickets because they're purely random numbers. However, I also deny that in my area, lottery gamblers are indeed mostly superstitious, perhaps because the lottery is purely random and difficult to predict logically, leading them to be drawn into mystical beliefs based on suggestion.

When they lose consistently, they tend to look for shortcuts outside of mathematics and probability, leading to various superstitious practices such as interpreting dreams into numbers, and some even sell dream books. Furthermore, there are sacred numbers, lucky birth dates or numbers from mystical events, and even deaths are often used as lottery numbers.

So, I conclude the more desperate people are for winning, the more they rely on mystical beliefs to feel in control of something that is actually totally random. This makes the lottery synonymous with superstition in my neighborhood, from my childhood until now.

It's just a coincidence, I've experienced similar thing before, and at the end of the day, those numbers doesn't correlate to anything, especially to lottery, so I wouldn't give it much thought.

Math is exact... with those 3 numbers, there are only 6 possible combinations. So you needed only 6 bets to cover every possible combination.

It's four numbers. I mean, from what the screenshot OP posted, it looks like each number is treated as an individual in that lottery, so the "48" is considered two numbers. So, if the OP want to cover every possible combination, he'd need to bet 24 times to cover all the possible combinations for those four numbers.

I have a cousin that have won millions from numbers given to him in the dream which he was able to bet massively in the lottery.  He has had such experience twice, the first was a minor win but the second time he hit te jackpot. Through him I have understood that such things works but it varies from individuals. My advice is that you shouldn't anticipate it, let it happen naturally then you can risk what you can afford to lose.

Dreams, past result or personal feeling can never change the probability of the next result. It is very natural that someone's dreams will coincide at some point since so many people are in the world. But when we see these coincidences we start to give special meaning.

In my opinion, if someone dreams and draws a ticket within their means for fun, that is a different matter. But I do not agree at all with this claim that, ''they work, you just need to know how to interpret them''.

You should not deceive yourself about receiving some numbers or codes while on sleep gamble with, all these are just a superstitious belief, and most of them are not even real, than illusion from our imagination. One thing you will know to confirm this is not real is that many are not involved in doing the same thing other claimed they do.

You have said it well for the Op to understand. Op was eager to win the lottery game and in the process it was transit to dream and it was also a trance for him. This is not the first time we have heard of this from lottery players. And all I will say about this is Op was just reacting to his mind to see if he could win from the number or not. Though as lottery player, itis good to try a number that you saw in somewhere and all still goes to try-your-luck. But Op shall not believe that he will win because people call the numbers for him in dream. If such was real many people would have won lottery numbers.

It could have been coincidence or not, but since it doesn't hurt to buy a lottery ticket, why not trying, just in case it's not solely coincidence... Anyway, your dream sounded more like an enigma than a clear prediction or revelation. You still had to work around the symbols to interpret what those numbers meant and how they should be arranged. Just be careful to not end trying to fit reality into your dream, instead of doing the opposite.

I’m convinced that’s just a coincidence. But even though i don’t believe in superstition, if I ever have a dream like the one you had, i might try betting on those numbers instead of choosing other random ones. I figure there’s no harm in trying. For the record, i don't have a lottery ticket number yet, but if i already had some before the dream came, i'll still use the first set of numbers. In the end, winning or losing is just a matter of chance and luck.

I didn't have anything specific on my mind before going to sleep. The only thing was that my wife and I had a small disagreement earlier that day. Maybe that's why those emotions followed me into my dream.

Not a huge amount. If I had matched all four numbers correctly, the payout would have been around 3000x my stake.

Such an interesting story and I feel bad for you for the fact that you wasted what should be an opportunity of a lifetime because these things works, uou just have to figure out a way of interpreting them. In my case, if I see a number in my dream it is a clear sign that I should abstance from gambling that period .

One thing is to have a dream; the other is to interpret it very well. In this case the op has tried the best way he could, but luck ran out on his side. It will only be luck for one to come up with the idea to arrange the number the way the winning came out, and that's where it gets confusing. I believe in such dreams, but they don't always work as we expect, so I won't say the op wasted an opportunity; the opportunity did not present itself well enough.

I'd say it's just a coincidence. Personally, I won't even think of such a dream the way you did with the numbers; I would probably think that it symbolizes a different thing, like incoming danger or reminding the person to be aware of what's happening around them. So, I think this is just a coincidence because the twist in the dream is not even pointing towards gambling but danger and confusion.

Am still surprised how he got to the conclusion that the dream was actually about the numbers? After reading the story, I won't lie, I actually laughed a little because everything seems scattered, and for some reason he came to a conclusion that the numbers mentioned in the dream are lucky digits.

I guess it's his dream but if am to tell someone this sort of story I believe the first reaction would be a sign of threat or danger just as you sigted especially because of the part where kidnapping is involved.

Yes it is just a coincidence and there is nothing to think dip about. Coincidence comes in different ways and this is just one of it. If you have been having a thought much frequently about lottery numbers and you usually sleep with that thought in your mind, there is a high chance that you’re going to be dreaming about it. It will start up like a normal thought in your mind and it’ll continue until you fall asleep and the thought keeps being in your mind that it then turns into a dream. There is nothing so special about the dream and that’s just a coincidence. All superstitious belief are just a coincidental events and nothing more.

To be honest, I've never been someone who believes in superstition, especially when it comes to gambling. Whenever people around me talked about winning the lottery because of a dream or some "lucky numbers" they received while sleeping, I always dismissed it as pure coincidence.

Basically, things beyond reason (including dreams) cannot be used as a guide to luck in gambling. Even if someone is lucky because of a superstition they believe in, it is just a coincidence.

In the area where I live, many people used to play the lottery, and they tried all sorts of ways to get lucky. They ranged from visiting shamans, interpreting dreams (usually they had a dream interpretation book), going to cemeteries to ask for numbers, and so on. The result ? No one won consistently, and no one became incredibly rich from these methods. So, the bottom line is: don't put too much faith in superstitious things like that.

We are supposed to pick random numbers, but the mind is so complex that tries to justify every actions, that is why it tries to connect the dot and convince you that you were so close after you picked the numbers. You may not believe in superstition, but it definitely gives you the push to try and test if that is working or simply a myth.

Seriously I am not really a superstitious person, most especially when it comes to gambling, so I will not really say that dreams can actually predict lottery numbers. But if i was the one that had the same dream, then trust me I would've definitely placed bet on those numbers too. All though I am not betting on the numbers because I believe something magic will happen, but because I'm just curious to see what will actually happen.

You don't need to go too far, I already stated that my dreams works the opposite, so I have learnt to use dreams as a signal to stay away from gambling. If you sample the statistics,  it should be one in a thousand people whose dreams in gambling actually work and my cousin is one person I have seen his work twice, although it rarely comes. I also put the disclaimer that each of us have to figure out how to interpret signals and dreams to avoid making mistakes. What is most important is gambling with what one can afford to lose.

I've seen many interviews with people who won the lottery. They said they had a dream where certain numbers appeared, and they decided to choose those numbers and were lucky enough to be the winning numbers. I honestly believe that these people may have just been lucky. When people think too much during the day, they tend to dream about what they thought about during the day.

Really, when we think too much about something, someone before going to bed, our brain registers that thing as our last memory and during your sleep, it begins to recreate it making you believe it's real.

But coming back to the topic of discussion, getting lottery numbers in dream sometimes can change your life if you believe and play them. But we shouldn't put too much hope on stuffs like that.

people who still believe or feel strange about the dreams they have about lottery numbers and associate this with the thoughts of the people of the past when there was no tool to check and find information about numbers.
It is your subconscious that describes the numbers that you have seen before and that is finally manifested in the dream.

This is like a recurring dream with different events and is finally associated with the lottery numbers that come out, even though it is just a coincidence.
There are many books about dreams like this, lottery books that say about animal dreams, dreams of this and that omen,
but the point is that they are all just fabrications and dreams about numbers are just a subconscious projection of what you do before bed.

Superstitions in my culture is very normal, if numbers shown up in a dream then people would definitely bet on it. Another weird superstitious belief is about the egg of spiders, I don't know what specific it is called but maybe house spiders. When it has eggs and it has hatched, it's believed that there is number left and shown on the white thing which is the vessel of their eggs. I for one have experienced it personally with my mother when I was young. Although to me, it is weird and scary because I am afraid of spiders at that time. Seems weird but my mother said there were winners before through that method.

Everyone is entitled to what they believe in, but I have seen lottery players that don't joke with any random numbers they see in a dream, early in the morning or late at night or at certain quiet times of the day.
Some believe that dreams are a different world where we live in and most of the strange faces we see sometimes are those we have somehow and somewhere come across in real life, including angels or even numbers.

It's okay to give meaning or search for a meaning to a dream, afterall when we dream is when our brain is most relaxed and most times we get answers to questions we have asked in real life or get the solutions to some problems we have in real life.
