The result is in, and Milan won. This means that the prediction that it wasn’t certain Milan would beat Salzburg was wrong. In fact, Milan defeated Salzburg 4–0, even though one of their players received a red card.
After Milan defeated Salzburg, Juventus also staged a comeback. While all the Serie A teams have struggled in the Champions League, they’ve all performed well in the Europa League.
What can be said—and this is my assessment—is that Italian soccer is indeed not currently at its highest level.

Milan should have focused on Serie A first and foremost, because beating weaker opponents in the Europa League and hoping to win the tournament to secure a place in the Champions League is definitely not what they should be aiming for. I don't think qualifying for the Champions League through Serie A should have been a problem for them.

AC Milan’s chances of securing a spot in next season’s Champions League through Serie A are wide open, as the gap between them and the teams currently in the top four is not significant—just 4 points with 6 matches already played. Given that Serie A has not yet reached the 10-match mark out of a total of 38, it’s still very much possible for them to achieve this.
As for targeting the Europa League as a route to the Champions League, I don’t think that’s an option for them, since their participation in this season’s Europa League is a direct result of their performance in last season’s Serie A.
The AC Milan squad is aiming for the Europa League title. They are well aware that the Europa League carries less prestige than the Champions League and that the teams competing in it are generally not as strong. While their primary focus in Italy is securing a spot in the Champions League, winning the Europa League would also be a significant achievement for them. Furthermore, it must be said that they possess the strength required to go on and win the competition.

I’ve not been following more of the Italian Seria A league team actually, but all I remember is that AC Milan ordinarily doesn’t belong in the Europa League. I mean it’s just awkward to see teams like them and Juventus playing in the Europa League now, while we have known them to be those teams that usually represent the Italian in the champions league. Thats why they will by any measure try to win the Europa league. Thats what teams that doesn’t belong there do whenever they  find themselves there.

Football has changed to be honest, clubs have made improvements and if a club doesn’t follow the current system of football that might fin themselves in a league they never expected. Not just the Europa league but it could extent to the conference league.

So far in the UEFA Europa League two matches have been played, and from the side of the English team, Sunderland have won two of their matches  defeating SCU Torrense 1-2 in their away match , and team like AFC Bournemouth is also doing well in this very beginning, and have also won two of their opponent Sturm Graz 3-0 in their own home, but Crystal Palace have only won only one match, though this might not be enough evidence to judge their performance in the EUFA Europa League since the league is still in it's initial stage , but any moment from now , we can really know the strength of the English teams, and how far they will likely go in this very tournament.
Every team in 2026/27 UEFA Europa League has played two matches so far among the Premier League clubs Bournemouth and Sunderland have both won two matches but in my opinion another Premier League club Crystal Palace have only won one match, in fact Bournemouth won against Real Sociedad, and Sturm Graz.

Sunderland and Bournemouth are not strong teams in Premier League but still these teams are performing well in Europa League but another thing we noticed is that these two teams faced each other in their domestic league where Bournemouth managed to win but I personally think that this team will be under nervous pressure in the third match of the UEFA Europa League this season.n as they have to prepare to face Italian club AC Milan in that match.

The Europa League may contain average teams, but one thing about the Europa League is that it is always interesting and unpredictable. Sometimes a team you never expected to win the league ends up winning the league title. If AC Milan is aiming to win the league, it will be possible if they focus on their game here and take it seriously. Many big teams that normally find themselves in the Europa League don't put much effort in because they think they are strong enough to win it based on their records.

In recent years, English clubs have dominated this competition and I expect this trend to continue.
The standings are currently led by another Italian club, Juventus, and at the top, with 6 maximum points, are other possible favorites such as Bayer, Benfica, Lyon, etc.
English representatives Bournemouth, Sunderland and Crystal Palace are also at the top of the standings and I think one of these clubs could continue the tradition of English winning this competition that Aston Villa and Tottenham started in recent years.
This is still an early stage of the competition and it is too early to predict who will win this competition.

Every team never wants to perform badly on purpose, but they perform badly because of some mistakes. For example, there are different types of problems like tactical problems in the team, difficulty in adapting to the new coach's tactics, lack of good relations with the players, injury problems, etc. First of all, the team needs to find out where they are weak and identifying that place is the biggest thing. If AC Milan is able to identify these problems at the moment, then we will definitely see a lot of good things from them, I think they will be able to overcome these problems very quickly.

This season may end that dominance. With the presence of Juventus, Benfica, AC Milan and Leverkusen, the current season's fight may be very difficult for the English clubs. The English do not have any big names to beat the mentioned teams and win the title. I do not think Bournemouth, Sunderland or Crystal Palace will be able to give anything good in the current season's fight. The performance of these teams is very inconsistent. If the dominance of the English clubs is seen this season too, then I will be really surprised.

Although we are still in the early stages of the competition. Considering the big names, the English clubs seem very small this season. We can only put the names mentioned in the list of big names.

Yes, it is possible that this season we could see the end of the dominance of English clubs in this competition, due to the very strong competition in this season but it is still too early to make such predictions.
The English league is truly a ''world unto itself'', the highest quality and best European league so that their clubs regularly win trophies in European club competitions, even clubs that are not at the top of the standings.
Other European leagues also have strong clubs, such as Real and Barcelona in Spain, Bayern in Germany, PSG in France but their problem is that these clubs are too dominant in those leagues and have no real competition.
Other clubs from those leagues are usually not competitive in European club competitions but maybe this year clubs like Juventus, Benfica, AC Milan or Leverkusen will stop the English dominance of the last few seasons.

18 UEFA Europa League matches involving 22 teams across Europe. That is a lot of matches to watch in one day.
A lot of choices to make here. Maybe I'll pick Besiktas vs Crystal Palace to watch or Bournemouth vs AC Milan.
This in my opinion are the most interesting game tonight. I will not be watching the Conference League tonight, as no game excites me over there.

Juventus definitely seem to perform better in the Europa League than in Serie A. Perhaps that’s because the opposition in the Europa League is generally weaker than in the domestic league. But Juventus beat Celta away in the previous round, and Celta are certainly not weak opponents.

Today they’ll be playing Rennes at home. on the one hand Juventus look like clear favourites, on the other hand, the odds are around 1.5, so I probably wouldn’t risk betting on a Juventus win here, even though I do expect them to win.

Milan will be playing away against Bournemouth, and for me the English side are the favourites in this match.

Juventus is currently at the top of the Europa League after two games, their performance is inconsistent in the league. AC Milan has won one game and currently sit 16 in the table. This tournament is full of top teams from the Premier League, Ac Milan and Juventus are not the favourite teams to win the tournament.

Considering the current performance of the two teams, it can be seen that both teams are in the same form and are performing the same. The weaknesses that are seen are between the two teams, so it is not possible to say what will happen on the field right now. However, I agree with you that the chances of Juventus winning are much higher. Because Juventus will be playing at home and Juventus will have the home advantage. Juventus' defense seems to be a little better than Rennes's. However, let's see how we see the performance on the field from Juventus, the result of the match can be expected to be 2 - 1.

That's exactly what I'm seeing, for some seasons now juventus performance in serie A isn't that good compared to the club  standard. Winning their league has become a problem for them, but it seems they're performance well playing Europe competitions than their league, last week i surprised they won celta with the odds that was given to them by bookmakers while playing away match.

Talking about today match against Rennes i believe juventus will definitely win the match since playing on home ground, and with the hype of their fans they'll put their best have that 3 points today.

I think they should win 100% considering that Rennes has not the players of the same caliber as Juventus has although this very last Sunday Juventus were humiliated at home by losing 0-3 which is something rarely happens to them so I would be cautious. Normally they need to win this game to not compromise their chances of qualifying further, the teams in Europa and Conference League are far inferior compared to Juventus, most of them truly are.

Juventus is already sitting at the top of the Europa League table after winning NEC Nigmejgen 5-0 in their own home , and defeating Celta Vigo 1-2 away. So far the Europa League is concerned they are doing great more especially in this very beginning, and I have strong confidence that they are going to do well in this Europa league. In their match with Stade Renais I have already given them straight win, and I believe they are going to secure another 3 points from them especially as they are playing from home. Juventus may not be doing well in the Italy Serie A , and that is because they have lots of strong opponents their, but I can see them withstanding the pressure of their opponents in the Europa League. So far they have not recorded any loss or draw in the Europa League competition.

When a team fail to play at their best level, they had no choice than play in any competition they qualified to. AC Milan performance was inconsistent last season, so don’t be surprised to see them playing in the Europa League. Only 2 rounds have been played in this competition, so it is too early to draw conclusions about how good or bad some teams are.
The competition is very long and hard, and the group stage is often not a good indicator of someone's quality because teams focus more on their own championships.
Only as the competition draws to a close and the opportunity to win a trophy appears do teams focus more on this competition.
This is often the case with English clubs, who focus more on the English championship than on the, for them, less important second- or third-tier European club competitions.
A good placement and success in the English league can bring much more, especially if they win a place in the Champions League, than a good result in this competition for the finances and prestige of the club.
In any case, Rennes will be a very good test for Juve today, and I will also follow the matches between Sturm and Marseille, Dinamo and NEC, Bournemouth and Milan, and Beşiktaş and Crystal Palace.
It seems to me that this competition is stronger than last season and I think that there are no clear favorites to win the competition.

Juventus is very serious about their Europa league match. Although their performance in serie A has been inconsistent, they have secured win in both of their Europa League match and they achieved quite easy victories as well.

Rennes biggest weakness is their defense. If Luciano spalletti can identify opponent's defensive vulnerability then juve has strong chance of securing win by large margin. If this were serie A match, I would have avoided placing any bet , but since it  is europa league match, I am going to place my money on Juve.

Apart from this match, I believe encounter between Leverkusen and Crete, as well as Bournemouth and Milan will also be quite enjoyable. So I am eagerly looking forward to watching Milan match.

We've played against 2 very strong opponents but tonight's match will be against the toughest one I think. We're playing with Crystal Palace at home. The fan support will be incredible but Crystal Palace really looks like the team that will give us the hardest time, at least on paper. I hope they don't put too much weigh on this match. Grin

Orkun's absence is really hurting the team. We saw that in Trabzonspor match. The lack of a creative player is immediately noticeable. Miretti isn't quite at that level yet. Beşiktaş have won all of their home games. If this streak continues, it'll be a huge step toward securing a spot in the top 8 of the Europa League. Even if we lose, we can't let it get us down. One loss won't change much. This might actually be the toughest of the 8 matches we have left to play.

I hope Vlahovic and/or Oh score and we win. And this may be the game where Trossard shine, I can feel it.

Juventus definitely seem to perform better in the Europa League than in Serie A. Perhaps that’s because the opposition in the Europa League is generally weaker than in the domestic league. But Juventus beat Celta away in the previous round, and Celta are certainly not weak opponents.

I believe Juventus will win this match. It will be a very difficult away game for Rennes, one of France’s strong sides. Juventus will be looking to put their recent poor results behind them in the Europa League; consequently, we might see a Juventus that is more focused on their Europa League fixtures. In fact, they are currently leading the way in the competition, having scored 7 goals and conceded only 1 across two matches. We could see a similar performance against Rennes.

I think you’re a Premier League Fan, which is why you’re interested in the Premier League teams in the Europa League and Conference League, however I share your plights, I will also be watching this particular games you’ve mentioned, Bournemouth vs AC Milan is a game I’m mostly interested in, and I will be paying more attention to the game, it seems to be an interesting game on paper, I hope the game doesn’t disappoint. However Crystal Palace is in Istanbul and I don’t think Crystal Palace will win this games, they can get a draw in Istanbul, I’m going to go with the Cherries to win against AC Milan, AC Milan have been playing well in the Seria A, and I believe Milan is going to be a strong team for Bournemouth, but I’m still going to go with Cherries to Win.
