The World Cup has barely ended and here we are discussing the next one again. There's a long way to go until then, with qualifiers, friendlies, the building of new teams, and a new generation of players for some national teams. Anything can happen. Will Italy manage to qualify for a World Cup again?

Italy qualifying is a question that would be answered in 3.5 years lol. I think this thread will likely be just speculations and for sharing events that are relevant to the world cup in the next 3 years. The thread will likely go through several weeks where there would be little to no replies unless there is anything significant to talk about.


 I'm personally here for the information because I didn't know Morocco will be one of the major host of the 2030 world cup. That's really good to see because by the time of the 2030 world cup, it would've been 20 years since the world cup was last hosted in an African country and it's nice to see.

The most important thing is that the future world cup in 2030 marks a 100th year anniversary since the beginning of world cup tournament held in 1930 and it comes with a different package like the just concluded one hosted among 6 countries and three continent including Africa for the first time I think.
I wonder if the rules would change because am sure it would to accommodate the lot of teams that would be present but then, there would be no Messi or Ronaldo but a selection of new stars to look out for or that has shown promise so far in their career by then.

If the venue for the 2030 final ends up being awarded to Casablanca, playing on home soil would create an incredible atmosphere. They are currently building the largest football stadium in the world by capacity and right now the hosting rights for the final seem to be a showdown between Casablanca and the Santiago Bernabéu.
A country like Morocco definitely has what it takes to accomplish this historic feat. Looking at their development and squad trajectory, I think in 4 years that team will mature significantly in terms of international experience and tactical depth. By the time 2030 rolls around, they won't just be dark horses, they will be legitimate title contenders.

Imo, this thread should be locked to be respond in two years time before the FIFA world cup tournament kicks off, because it's too early to start discussing about a tournament that it's scheduled to commence in four years time.

I'm suggesting for this thread to be locked and reopened in two years because the thread will be filled with Spam posts, so it will be better we focus on other football leagues, beside new season just got started, we are just waiting for major leagues such as premier League, La Liga, Europa Leagues serie A, Bundesliga and others to kick Start by next month.

i think this is the earliest thread i’ve seen created here for an event  there are still more than three years until 2030, and i think it will be hard for this thread to stay active until then. after all, the previous world cup just ended.

anyway, my country, turkey, participated in that world cup exactly 24 years later and performed far below expectations. if a thread has been started for 2030, i should say right now that i hope turkey finishes the tournament in a better position. the matches against paraguay and australia were really tough for us.

The thread might not get traffics as much as other threads in the gambling board bit it'll definitely be bumped at intervals especially whenever qualifying games for the next FIFA World Cup are played. As for your country's disappointing performance in the just concluded FIFA World Cup, I understand how painful it can be but you still have to fully throw in your support behind the team as they prepare to play in the qualifiers that'll give them the opportunity of booking a place for the next FIFA World Cup.

Many sports fans are dissatisfied with the way this year's World Cup was officiated and how the fixtures were conducted, so I hope they adopt a format similar to what was used for the team matches in the Champions League, as you suggest.

It would be interesting to do it that way and make better use of technology, limiting the use of human referees and having everything equipped with sensors so that the detection of fouls and everything else is much better than a VAR system that lends itself to corruption. These are things that need to change; the idea that the referee should have all the power in the game shouldn't be the case, because they are corrupt.

Thanks you blue Snow for creating this thread. I was thinking the 2026 worldcup is ended and the thread can be lock soon but where I can dicuss the next worldcup thread. But thanks I got the thread. Next Worldcup will be the first worldcup to host 6 nations at the same time Portugal, Spain, Morocco are the main Co Host Nation and they are already qualified for the 2030 worldcup they have the host advantage to automatic qualification. Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay are the Centenary Celebration Hosts which means there will be only one opening match in that's county to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first worldcup held in 1930.

It is a vey long time to 2030 but we are already having discussion about that. Well the key point here is that Spain still have the best short at winning it because they a very active team with many players that are young and will be very experienced by 2030. On the contrary, countries like Argentina will have most of their key players too old and their replacements not that experienced.  The same goes for many other countries like Egypt, Morocco, France and even Portugal. This is why I feel that Spain will retain the title.

Everything is all about anticipation, and I'm not sure what made you feel so confident about the World Cup. I don't think you've forgotten that there are other teams that want to win as well. Take a look at teams like France and others, and observe how the finals went. If Spain hadn't been so strong, Argentina would have won, and if it had been the other way around, it would have been much more likely that another nation would have won. And this was like the most difficult world cup for us to predict because if you should look at it, a lot of people's expectations was that Argentina was going to win, and  Spain was the last person we expected to win the trophy.

Yes, it will be fascinating, but as far as I'm concerned, if a large number of sports fans write a petition and share their thoughts, and someone who can ask the FIFA president for review, and they will make an amendment in a matter of hours, just like we see in the World Cup game Support the petition.

As I mentioned above, this format is impossible for the World Cup. Official dissatisfaction is nothing new. If you have time, you can look at my earlier posts regarding this, which come from my years of experience watching the tournament.

To be frank, there is no perfect solution for this, even if you automate. If the detection of fouls is judged with the help of sensors, do you really think the sensor would actually identify if a player slipped accidentally or intentionally? For this, you need to have a referee.

In a hypothetical situation where everything is controlled by sensors, the game would stop and restart for every single minor foul, which just isn't helpful. The drama surrounding the game is always part of it.

using sensors seem like a smart technology that can be adequately utilized for the referee system in the football but those sensors have to have the ability to work independently and not controlled by individuals in the control room. Those in the control room can still be biased and find away to manipulate their way out unless there is a real time flagging of programmed foul by the sensors in that nobody has to control it before it gives results else human interference will lead to unjust decisions sometimes even when it does not happen as frequently as it used to be in the past.

Saudi Arabia gaining access to host the world cup in 2034 will a very good advantage for both all the countries going for the world cup and them also because it will serve as a means through which the world will know the level of sacrifice they are willing to offer for football.
For now they appear to be one of the highest paying nations in the world of sports and all this are done just for the world to know there level of commitment in football and are willing to spend more because they have the capability to do it. If they can go this far just to land quality players to their teams, what then do you think they will do if they are to host the world cup.

Well, I would say that we are beginning to move slowly a triple it maybe quadruple FIFA World Cup host nations. Soon enough people will hardly remember the time when it was just a single nation hosted this historic tournament. I guess this is my contribution for now.
