Normally, everybody no be the same, but e go better say you teach them, because learning na something wey dey continues. But ah go agreed with the fact that we should be careful when teaching them about Bitcoin investment, because e no make sense to rush your children into Bitcoin, because plenty things wey require a lot of discipline and patience dey involved in Bitcoin, so it's very important to introduce it in a way that they can understand, and not teach them above their head.

For sure, I feel like it's best to teach our children about bitcoin investment when they are still little probably around 17-18 I believe a child within this range can understand better so that before they will get to the age of 20 by then they must have gain enough knowledge about bitcoin. At the same time, we are entitled to decide when and when not to teach our children about bitcoin investment just as most parents says that their children is still small as they don't have the ability to make choices but I think it depends on children, their are some children who are very smart once they are taught about something they will just follow that process you used without going contrary to what they have been taught.

The Nigerian educational system especially for Primary schools has for a very long time now not been on per with global standards or at least that's what I think, if you are lucky you might see signs of improvement here and there but it's generally not enough and this is carried from their primary schools to their secondary and even to the university (where computer science students write computer codes on paper but are effectively useless with an actual computer in front of them).

Even your bads are basically just complications that can be made simple to understand, Volatility has never been a bad thing with bitcoin, sure the value shooting down might sometimes look like something that will push someone to panic but without it then chances are that the prictof bitcoin won't go up either.

I think that the good sides of it outweighs the bad sides, if kids can be introduced to Bitcoin at an early age they can start learning what they need to know so that when they get older they would not struggle to learn it but the problem with this is the complexity of it. Kids can only comprehend little of it and not much and for them to be able to understand just a little bit of it requires a lot of efforts and concentration because that is not what they are supposed to be learning at that age, it is going to be a struggle for them.

But if they can cross that phase of going through the difficulty of learning about it and gaining knowledge which is more important it could be of benefit to them in the long run.

I truly think if you expose children to Bitcoin with proper education not just showing them the possibility of making money or growing assets, beyond all these if you expose them to Bitcoin and you prioritise the knowledge first, so long as those children have the self interest to invest in Bitcoin, I'm pretty sure they would do well.  Aside just trying to grow assets, there are alot of things you can do and also have access to because of Bitcoin and if you truly understand it, you would know how to tap into the opportunities that exist inside. Long story short, expose your kids to Bitcoin but educate first.

Everything has time; teach them about it at the right time when their brain is ready to comprehend all of that information and not when they are still in an early stage where children play and consume more of their brains. I believe if kids are of age and given the chance to learn, it will be easier for them to understand than when such knowledge is tried to be forced on them. The more they learn and grow with it, the more opportunity they can also discover from it depending on how interesting they find it.

Well said Orpichukwu. Kids deserves to enjoye their time and the fun they get from different games and kids cartoons there is no way they would concentrate to learn then their brains are not matured enough to receive some of the things you teach them in that tender age so if it is ok you give them time to have fun until they get to the where they will be allowed to learn before deciding if they are interested in investing or not. Some kids will watch you if they are close to you when you are making some research but the moment you want to deny them their playing time they will be scared of coming closer when you studying.

Definitely can't be preaching Bitcoin to small children, they would have to know their own left from right and also be able to have a self interest, if a child is at an age where they can have self interests, I think they can be exposed to Bitcoin at that age and if the self interest peeks, then good, if not, that's also fine.

I think what all kids should be more concerned on is a way of taking their academy serious, anything that will be taking off their attention from their school things shouldn't be encouraged.

Moreover, there is certainly time for everything in life, we don't have to force our kid's in a particular thing all because we also did same, it's right, children also have the right to choices in life.

Maybe, if they pick interest in it overtime then that is good but pinning it on them, like a must is something I can't support not even in a day.

No doubt at all, because 17-18 years no be small picking again. Just that all heads are not the same. If not this age range supposed know how to read and write, because na the main thing in Bitcoin investment. Of course, even with age range, you fit decide say you no go teach them and nothing go happen, because them still dey under your care. So it's just a matter decision, nothing more than that. But I strongly believe that we no the capability of our children. We know the smart ones and the dull ones, because it's not a new thing anymore.

Your thought dey very valid, same with that of your uncle, but In the Cons of your write-up, I no really agree because sxposing children to am no mean say dem go begin invest immediately, na just make Dem dey get the knowledge and know how to transact with am, send and receive if possible, everything teaching get limitation. Na de papa go still be de custodian and there's no better person to initiate financial education in them apart from him.

Your uncle don forget say we dey jet age, children brain dey develop faster now, anything you expose dem to from small, Dem go use am grow, na the duty of parents to guide children mindset, make dem future dey bright. I already introduced my little nephews and nieces to Bitcoin with some videos and children Bitcoin books made with pictures and little write-ups I saw online, some of them dey even use am learn how to read properly. There's time for everything, dem no go do children things Everytime, sometimes you give dem some responsibility make dem for wise and their brain develop better.

                                                               The Bad
Volatility: this one na the first thing wey dey always make people fear about Bitcoin when dem dey learn about am, so if eh go fit scare some adults eh go scare children too at first but then eh still no be big deal when dey done understand am, maybe after knowing say Bitcoin dey recover after dip.
Their is nothing bad about the volatility of bitcoin. Not understanding the volatility of bitcoin usually looks like a threat thst one might think they dont deserve volatility of bitcoin. It is important to understand without the volatility of bitcoin, bitcoin wont even be the kind of asset we wish to even own. What is think people needs to understand is that Bitcoin is not what needs to be rely on to make profit quick abd if one is investing in bitcoin one must know it is volatile. Every asset is volatile and that of bitcoin is very fast and it plays a vital role in the value of Bitcoin.

I think we should just teach them everything that need to be known financially. For example, budget, asset, risk, money management, discipline, savings and the rest of them. So if at the end one still want to introduce Bitcoin, it will just be a specific teaching on an asset under financial knowledge. It's better than way. You teach them the broader aspect of fianave and introduce one part of it. That's a plus.

Everything for this world get advantage and disadvantage, but some things the disadvantage fit overshadow the advantage.Concerning this mata,to expose children to bitcoin for their tender age na better idea, reason why I talk say na better idea na because say the world dey evolve and everything dey go digitalized. So exposing these next generation go create financial awareness although them no go fit start to dey accumulate but with knowledge dem go dey conservant with the new decentralized digital currency and ehn monetary policy/system.Then,the disadvantage be say children too dey blunt and that one fit make dem dey vulnerable to crypto theives/hackers online and for reality, and these children never get matured reasoning to manage their holdings if their parents no follow put eye.

Normally every thing has a bad side and also a good side as well

I have not really searched about it, but if what you posted are the major things we need to know about kids and Bitcoin, then I don't generally see introducing kids to Bitcoin is a bad idea,

Talking about complexity I feel we underate the human Brain,
I will keep on using chaina as an example because of how well they make use of what they have,
I see videos of children solving really complex challenges, as a matter of fact Ruby cube is part of the least when it comes to complexity, and I feel is because they believe very well that the human Brain is made to solve problems, and starting from a tender age is even the best approach to make an individual good at solving issues

So we should not underestimate the brain and say "oh bitcoin is too complex", you might see it that way until you see other children handling technogy, AI that is whey more complex than Bitcoin.

Apart from that, the other bad side volatility is a case even adults face but as we should all know if we have a long term goal then that shouldn't be much of a problem to handle

I don’t know but I don’t see anything wrong with introducing one’s child to Bitcoin. Bitcoin investment knowledge alone comprises and entails most of the things and knowledge you listed, by investing in Bitcoin, one learns how to effectively and appropriately allocate funds and resources, they learn risk management, they learn budgeting, savings and most of every other things you listed. In fact I see it as a plus if they start learning and maybe make their mistakes early than waiting till they’re already fully grown…

and so on fit make dem feel say to make money go too tough for future.
Is it not better they know now  Cheesy Cheesy

Abi to make money no tough for you ??  Cheesy

Complexity of Bitcoin: most of us adults still never understand the technical aspect of Bitcoin talk more of children for instance things like mempool, wallets, Keys

Children can still understand, there are lots of things some adults don't understand but children will understand and digest it well.
I personally don't consider the bad sides really bad, it's something that the children will get to understand, and the earlier the better.
Although talking about children there should be an age limit, like from 12 years and above can be introduced and thought gradually.

I agree with you to a large extent that introducing children to Bitcoin can create awareness among them. When they are introduced to the traditional financial system, they will try to find a balance between the Bitcoin system and this system. They will ask questions and if the answer to that question does not seem logical to them, they will do their own research and make their own decisions by understanding what is right and wrong.
The government of every country praises their own printed money (fiat) and entices investors to buy bonds or deposit money in financial institutions. When children cross the age of 18+ and become adults, the maturity of understanding will appear in them and they will learn to earn money. They will definitely accept Bitcoin as a future asset because they are understanding how fiat is being printed, their labor is being stolen by the government/ rich class of individuals or institutions.

You have a good point but, it not advisable to introduce bitcoin to a child at a young age, I think that will give them too much free, when a child is having his own money they become hard to raise, and you will find it very difficult to correct, guide, and advise. Too much of everything is bad including freedom, I'm not saying that parents should be strict towards their children, but they should be limit for everything. There is nothing wrong with introducing bitcoin to your children, but the best thing is to wait for the right time. You have to allow them to grow gradually and enjoy their childhood before placing any responsibility under their care.
