AI dealers — the next big change for online casinos?

For online casinos it’s already a thing; it’s no longer something they have to think of integrating. Some of them are already using this technology. When you are playing blackjack, sometimes once you join the table, you hear the AI voice welcoming you; it’s programmed, but the only place where it might not be easy to replace a human dealer is in physical casinos, as some will find it weird to see a humanoid attending to them at the table.

Definitely going to put off a large chunk of people. Everyone is used to computers dealing the cards, people want to see it go on live, its a niche genre and and there are quite a few players who are regulars at the live dealers tables who have their favorites among the dealers.

Having a human interaction at the casinos is also a big reason certain people go there. If they cannot go for the physical casino then the live dealing is the next thing available to them.

Besides a lot of people whose livelihood depend on these professions will be going out of service which is a bad thing.

Artificial Intelligence will keep getting better rapidly and we all know that we cannot stop its progress... However that does not mean it should take over every task that humans do. While Artificial Intelligence can do things four times faster but the fact is it does not have real feelings, awareness or personal experiences. It can pretend to care but ai cannot really understand people the way humans do. For example, many casinos in our country still hire human casino dealers because many players like talking to a real person. The trust, being real and connecting with humans are part of the fun and helps them to lessen the stress and tension they feel. Artificial Intelligence can make things more efficient, but that doesnt mean that every job should be measure on how fast it gets done. In some cases Artificial Intelligence should be seen as a tool only that will helps people not replaces them.

AI will definitely be replacing humans in the future in this aspect and casinos will be more than happy to integrate this into their business because it save them cost. But if I'm given the option to chose, I will still go with human dealer. I have not seen the need to add AI in my gambling, I still prefer to do it humans for several reasons especially originality. Although in the future I might change my mind because there is just so much that can be achieved perfectly with AI.

Every businesses are profit oriented and I'm sure that if AI dealers in casinos catches on the casino owners would be happier because it'll save them cost, aside from maintenance AI doesn't ask for salary or incentives from their owners unlike human dealers who have financial needs. Most of us would rather deal with human dealers in casinos because the interactions are real and we would feel awkward if a machine is interacting with us like it has feelings, it won't be authentic. But change is constant, if AI dealers becomes dominant in casinos gamblers will gradually blend and get used to them, technology is reaching a level that we just blend and accept innovations that are placed before us.

This is what I feel about AI inclusions in every industry too, it's like they want to get on AI hype train than there being actual need of it.

That's a good one. In nations like ours, physical casinos are unavailable or only available in few states, so live dealers at online casinos help a bit with feel, albeit no real substitute really but with AI dealers, this 'bit' will be lost as well.

Artificial Intelligence can make things more efficient, but that doesnt mean that every job should be measure on how fast it gets done. In some cases Artificial Intelligence should be seen as a tool only that will helps people not replaces them.

That's if we look at it from a casino user's perspective. But from a business standpoint, efficiency is really important. Maybe it's not just related to casino businesses; I think many sectors could be replaced by the role of AI. 
Right now, we still feel the warmth of being greeted or talking to real people. But in the future, with a more advanced generation, we might ignore things like that.

At present, there is the most advanced technology in the world, but we do not yet have the development that we can trust AI to run casinos because casino running is done with a lot of attention and right now AI, which is also advanced AI, is not capable of it, but for the next few years it can replace it and only those casinos will do this who do not want to increase their budget too much.  Some casinos will prefer AI, but when they realize that this work is not being done properly, they will start giving priority to people.  AI can also give them good ideas, but the way money goes from one side to the other will become difficult for them.  This will happen to some extent because it can also be an experiment due to which some casinos will take the path of AI.  It takes a few years because AI is much better than us in terms of knowledge but it is not ready for a large system.

I think that the players would most likely have the option to choose between AI dealers and human dealers. Most crypto casinos would prefer AI dealers, because they are cheaper, but the big crypto casinos are going to keep their best human dealers and gradually add AI dealers in order to optimize costs. The fact that an AI dealer can "create a more personalized experience" seems funny to me. What do you mean by "a more personalized experience"? The AI dealer would talk to you as if you are an old friend or something? I usually stay away from live casino games and I totally don't care if the dealer is AI or human. I'm not a social and extroverted gambler and I don't talk to other gamblers and the dealer while I'm gambling.

When it's all about customer service experience, what's the player needed is you really human interaction and not a bot, we all have to be honest on this, when it comes to making analysis and getting some information and statistics about gambling or any sport of interest, we already know that AI could best be made applicable on this manner, both the use of AI and human interaction and mostly needed in gambling and it must be made applicable to where fitted accordingly.

AI dealers are our future. There's no escaping it. Artificial intelligence is gradually permeating every aspect of our lives. Whether we like it or not, there's no way to fight it. So, I agree that in the future, rich people will play with a real dealer, while the poor will be content with an AI-powered dealer substitute.

I've been playing live tables for years. So I can say from experience that AI will never be able to match the experience of real dealer.

Because gambling is not just about game, half of it is feeling and interaction with people. Just imagine sitting at blackjack table at 2 am, and dealer jokingly pokes you because you split a ten, that's part of entertainment.

AI may be able to act funny but it won't be able to understand atmosphere of the room. It won't be able to give you that side eye when you're on tilt. It won't be able to celebrate with you as sincerely as real dealer would when you win few big in a row.

As a student, I often played poker and other gambling card games with friends. It was a lot of fun! I also don't think AI can fully replace real-life communication in gambling.

However, trends are trends... One way or another, over time, real-life communication in our lives is becoming less common than communication in the virtual world (with virtual interlocutors and AI). For example, in practice, I've begun meeting with friends less often and working more with my smartphone and laptop (online). Therefore, I'm confident that AI dealers will become widespread. Yes, people will be unhappy at first, but over time they'll get used to it... As for the new generations of players, they will no longer have first-hand experience playing with a live dealer (which means they won't be able to compare and be upset that the former wonderful atmosphere of the game is forever lost).🤷

Wow, this is really quite the development, I hadn’t really considered an “AI Dealer” before. Although I have to admit that I am in no way surprised that people have created this to use for their benefit in betting markets. I wonder how long it will take for the AI bots to create more dealer traffic than actual human dealers.
