1. Recovery Scams: After someone loses huge amount of money to a fake casino, another scammer claims they can recover the funds for a fee. They simply take more money and disappear.

How to avoid it: Just avoid any solution from a random posts from unknown users. This is not in only gambling, but virtually everything involving money scam online. They would claim they were scammed and so & so website or attorney helped them to successfully recovered the money. My brother, flee!!!

2. Clone Casino Websites: some casino websites you see around are clone casino websites and they are done by scammers just to scam gamblers, this scammers copy the design of well-known casinos to steal deposits and personal information.

How to avoid it: Know the website you are opening, and double-check the security, the exact domain and the domain extension (.org, .net, .com, etc).

Being listed on Bitcointalk does not mean that the casino is trustworthy.

As well as running a signature campaign. Having a signature campaign on a forum does not make casino fully trustworthy. Active signature campaign does not mean that people should run there and make deposits. Some users who are accepted into signature campaign also will try to prove casino innocence with foam at the mouth. Some users think, that if casino spend money on marketing and run a signature campaign, that casino is saint and as pure as virgins tear.

but does it mean that there is no way the forum do verify the casinos they give signature campaign access to. I am sure or was thinking that these casinos are being placed under a criterion before they are being approved to advertise here so please do not easily fall into scams because they saw that the casino has a campaign signature here. I am just getting this new knowledge here about a casino cannot be trusted even when they have a campaign signature here and thank you for the information.

There are a lot of casino scam happening this days, one way to avoid getting scammed is by knowing the strategies this scammers are using on people, when you know their strategy you can easily avoid getting scammed.
This thread is created so we can all post some Casino scam you believe people should be aware of.

3. Withdrawal Verification Scam: In all this fake casinos after you win huge amount of money, they will asks you to pay a verification fee, tax, or unlock fee before releasing your winnings. Don’t pay any more money because they are fake casinos if you pay they will ask you to pay again just like that till they exhaust all your money and disappear.

These are good examples but a bit light on details. You can also have combinations of these, but the most dangerous are the ones where the scammers put in a lot of time, energy and money to make a convincing front end. After all it takes a while to draw in enough customers and they want lots of juicy targets to deposit otherwise it won't be worth it. The sad thing is things like the first one are kicking a person when they're down, they've already lost money that they probably couldn't afford and out of desperation they try to get it back via another avenue. The worst part of the second one can actually be when identity documents are stolen and re-used in other places, because you can do a lot of financial damage if they manage to open accounts and get a debt or service associated to someone elses name.

But one thing common scam method that these scammers has developed these days is that, these scammers has developed the habit of intentionally opening new casinos all with the intention of running away with the funds which will be deposited by the customers. These scammers will open these Casinos and they to develop confidence from the gambling community, especially online casinos and when once eventually they get their target they run away with customers finds. We should always watch out for the type of casinos that we gamble on, we should always gamble with respected casinos which has stayed the test of time.
