No lovers are happy,  you can't be losing in gambling everyday and still remain the same, it will surely affect your mental health and behavior,  when you see an addicted gamblers always give them their ways,  don't do business with them or any deal that involves money. They might be very hard on you for nothing,  it's a mental issue.

That's why we keep speaking against the danger of addiction in gambling,  aggressiveness is one of it affects, if not well manged can lead to restiveness in the society.  Always look out to addicted gamblers,  they're not happy people,  learn how to deal with them, don't argue with them, don't fight with them. Trade with caution to avoid injury.

I’m not sure if it’s always like that or not, but I have a friend who’s addicted to gambling. But he acts normally when he’s with friends. Of course, we wouldn’t get involved when it comes to money, we all know what’s going on with him. But I guess being aggressive because of a gambling addiction is also related to someone’s mood. The same goes for how much pressure someone is under. Because anyone, not just a gambling addict, when facing a lot of pressure, will tend to be aggressive. Like a businessman facing financial problems or a manufacturer having production issues.

I am trying to get something straight for here about those who are addicted to gambling do have same characteristics? I have a friend who is so much attached to gambling and everyone around him knows it was an addiction and when they try to talk to him in regarding the way and manned he is putting much interest to gambling he picks offences and stops to be talking to people because they are like trying to make him understand that his gambling habits is becoming excessive.

If it was you would keep talking to him to reduce how he keeps gambling or you would allow him to continue gambling? And even if he is not paying attention to you?

Aggression becomes a part of them as a gambling addict. Probably because of stress in losing, or financial stress due to debts, or a withdrawal symptom. There are various factors that lead for someone to be aggressive especially when it involves gambling. And usually, when someone is already addicted, they're mind kinda close to other things. They only focus on their addiction. They wouldn't want to hear people around them stopping them from gambling since that's what the thing they want the most which results to aggression. It's a psychological thing.

Rather than me, telling someone to stop gambling directly, I'd try to introduce him to other things he can do, like finding new hobbies. I am not expert to know how to make them understand that their gambling addiction is becoming excessive. And of course, consulting to expert will always be better than me.

i think the answer to this your question "why those who are addicted to gambling are always aggressive"? if someone is addicted the urge of gambling all the time will still be there and the funny part is that they won't be doing it for fun. that is why we should avoid addiction by all means because it is very dangerous. about your friend that always got upset whenever they are trying to advise him about his habit in gambling, he is doing himself and i hope it does not become late for him.

I can not change a full grown adult who do not want neither behaves like one who is ready to realise his flaw and make for a change to it. You can not help a man who do not agrees with you that he has a problem that needs helping out with.

If I have that type of friend he will cease being a friend cause I can not have a friend who reacts to my advice with violence attitude. A good friend should be one who shares in your pain and call you to correction when you are going wrong path

If I’m to speak to my friend whose addicted to gambling,I would make sure I do it in respectful manner and not an abusive manner, because almost every human who is a grown up would get angry if you do approach them like you’re referring to your children at home.Just like I said first thing first I would try to be respectful and if they don’t take the advise even when my approach wasn’t disrespectful then I don’t think there’s nothing more I can do to help.Though most gambling addicts can be very wild because they’re always in the losing side,so whatever you do that doesn’t even warrant a person to get pissed they would be pissed,I have a neighbor that whenever he loses a game he’s children would be the ones to face the repercussions because he yells at them so hard even if it was a slight mistake.

If you can address the root cause of any problem then you already have a working solution for the problem. Why is his interest going more into gambling? He is obviously an adult with needs waiting to be met and gambling seem to offer him hope. He might not know that is false hope because he starts off winning only to hand it over in the long run, so he thinks his next improvement will undo them, but it gets worse and he is now becoming addicted.

If you and your friends can passionately engage him in any of the legitimate ways you guys are making money and see him clear his debts and bills, chances are there he might have another thought. If you run away from a friend at a time like this, you only open him up to more danger.

Look who I ran into for the second time today? Hehe.
On an average, how many people usually visit the psychiatric centers every month to test their mental health? I haven't done it in a long while as nothing poses any threat, but some haven't even heard of such. They don't know what going insane/abnormal mental health means--- it's either they're okay, or they are straight psycho (walking on the streets and eating from dumpsters)
Hehe.✌️☝️
Why go somewhere? Psychos can be seen from afar. They are either very quiet and "modest," pretending to be normal people, or very violent, of which there are always "a lot" in the company. It is clear that the person himself will never say about himself that something is wrong with him. But others see it without doctors, by their behavior. Among us, here on the forum, you can guess such people by their "handwriting" and by their habits of behavior in disputes. And very often, if we delve into people's past, we realize that someone had a difficult childhood, abusive parents, or a difficult history, after which they triggered aggression. Or there are head injuries; no matter what, since any blow to the head (even slightly stronger than a slap on the back of the head) may affect your behavior in the future.

Drug addiction, alcoholism, and all kinds of addictions are most often a consequence rather than a cause of personality distortion and regression.

I'm not saying all gambling addicts are addicted to drugs and alcohol but some of them are, due to the losses that they incur they turn to drugs and alcohol to get their mind off the losses they incur. These substances that they take affects their way if thinking. For a lot of addicts that don't take drugs or alcohol and still get aggressive it's probably due to the fact that they must have lost a lot of money.

The worst part about most of these addicts is that they don't want to change, they still try to believe that if they keep on gambling they are either going to meet their luck one day or recover everything that they have Lost but that's just what makes them hard headed.

When a person is trapped in mental stress due to suffering from damaged brain function due to consecutive losses in gambling, that is when the person will appear due to psychological impulses, such as severe frustration, stress, hopelessness, emotionality, that's when their nature and behavior will change to become aggressive without being controlled.

Added to this is the burden of life, such as money to gamble from debt, this will actually be even more aggressive, it could end their life, for this reason we here often remind the gamblers here, Gamble as much as you can afford to lose, consider gambling as fun for you, don't gamble excessively and become addicted, so that we don't act aggressively.

Start your question by asking, where does aggression come from? Why does it occur and what factors make a person be aggressive? Most often, people who are unable to control their emotions are prone to aggression,

Aggression can come from unrealized goals and targets in gambling, inadequate financial resources, and personal behavior, but here are some other key ones I have highlighted.

1. When a gambler is unable to be disciplined in gambling, he could easily be offended because of his unrealistic target.
2. Some also have greed, which they don't want to admit; this, it is also another factor that could lead to being enraged and aggressive.
3. To consider other factors like temperaments, some gamblers are easily angered by their temperament, and they easily take offense over unnecessary encounters and challenges in gambling, and discount affect both their fellow gamblers and their own entire way of living.

Maybe i'd try at least once to let him know why a lot of people are worried, but if he's not taking it seriously, then i'd rather leave him be. It's not worth talking it out again when he's not willing to move and start dealing with his gambling addiction.

The way I see it, your friend's aggressiveness might be his way of responding to those who try to help him, because some people quickly get annoyed when others suddenly try to step in at something they think is fine.

I would not oversimplify and would not care too much about "appearance".
Despite the "low" quality of aneddoctical data collection, I meet many avid gamblers and in most of the cases they are just looking "normal". Normal means that you can't guess they have any kind of issue related gambling at all. Here the is the problem. People that have these kinds of problems have more chances to hide or just to not show to others.
They will behave themselves and form a different personality until you find them in a hot spot where they are comfortable to display intensed eagerness. Not just about gamblers, anything else that can get addictive supports the same frequency.

It is clear that the person himself will never say about himself that something is wrong with him. But others see it without doctors, by their behavior. Among us, here on the forum, you can guess such people by their "handwriting" and by their habits of behavior in disputes.
You are right! Lucky I don't have spare Smerit.

I can only imagine what the product of an abusive parenthood looks like. I'm this cool and sometimes I get bothered a lot with the struggles of life, how much more if I had such a grave experience.

That's how people got the insult--- "it seems like you were dropped on the head a couple of times when you were a kid" 😂

Why the fuck is everyone obsessed with interacting with some of the most worthless pieces of shit imaginable? People who gamble all of their money and get aggressive at anyone who has any sense are garbage trash humans who have no place in any decent society.

Just let them what they want when it comes to gambling. Because this is like any other addiction, they don't want others to meddle with their affairs. And so they become aggressive as if someone want to stop their desires. They need to realize on their own that they need to alter their lifestyle for their own betterment. Because if not, it is just like someone wants to force him to change and it is because of the others and not on his own accord.

People often project the way they feel about themselves onto others. The aggression that appears when loved ones tell a gambling addict the obvious is often a reflection of how that person feels about themselves and their inability to cope with their condition. However, that doesn't mean others should tolerate or accept such treatment. If a person refuses to listen or accept the help they truly need, and only wants the kind of help they ask for, then forcing them to change won't work. Real recovery can only begin when they realize they genuinely need help and are willing to change.

Imagine you love signing and people try to deprive you of doing so, won't you feel bad? That's how addicted gamblers feel when people try to convince them against ganbling, but in there own case they needed to be helped. However talking to them is a sad truth they can't digest so they get pissed or use aggressiveness as a defense mechanism to stop people from advising them.

If I try to advise an addicted gambler and the person tend to be too aggressive to deal with, I'll let the person be at that moment then try again later. Although it depends on my relationship with the person, i won't give advise to a stranger to avoid being embarrassed or sounding embarrassing to the person.

Well maybe it looks random from the outside but getting defensive when someone brings up addiction is normal for an addict Cheesy  if he can't be helped then just don't keep bringing it up but don't enable him either, keep things respectful & try to encourage him to stop but don't overdo it. Extreme addicts usually become aggressive because they know it's bad & feel guilty/judged about it Cheesy

3. To consider other factors like temperaments, some gamblers are easily angered by their temperament, and they easily take offense over unnecessary encounters and challenges in gambling, and discount affect both their fellow gamblers and their own entire way of living.
This is particularly true about many aggressive gamblers who expresses aggression on people around them as a result of a failed bet. Aggression is an attitudinal problem that it only had to take a bad situation, an unfavourable one to happen for it to be revealed of the person. Gambling addiction doesn't necessarily bring about aggression in a gambler if it's not an already innate problem of the gambler before he started gambling. Look around, there are addicts gamblers but never get aggressive at loss, instead they go silent and moody until they get over it.

They don't have same characteristics, because people are coping in different ways.

If you change your question to "why do people who are suffering are not cool as cucumbers", you might understand where they are coming from.

People who are addicted are often in denial, and challenging them for their addiction gets them defensive as they mostly see baseless accusations.

If you really want to help someone, offer them an alternative way to spend time. That's really only thing you can do. You can be around for them, but they need to want fix themselves (don't however give them money). Don't judge them, but act as a mirror of what healthy way of life is.
