This topic I am creating here was a result of what we discussed offline and I feels like sharing here to know how people would reacts as well, while with friends, among us there are others there as well which was saying that he has been trading for a while now that whatever amount given to him that he would multiply it and balance back to them. That isn't a problem but what keeps wondering is that, I have been around this forum for awhile now and I have been seeing how people do lose in trading, even to the point whereby it's advisable not to trade for anyone because you wouldn't know when you will lose the entire money completely. Perhaps,  as we were discussing one of our old time friend that he is willing to give me specific amount to trade for him that he would be satisfied with whatever returns be it weekly, monthly that he is ready. Then I told him, instead of you giving out your money for trading why not buy Bitcoin and hold since that is more safer than trading because I wouldn't want where you accused me of running away with your money maybe after I may have entered wrong trade.

However, have you traded for someone and how does it ends and where you able to meet up to the monthly/weekly returns as said by the person? Share your thoughts so we can learn.

No, I've never traded for anyone else, I have a few friends with whom I could share my trades, and they also shared theirs with me. But in reality, I very rarely imitated them because I believe it's better to do your own analysis, make a trade, and either make money or gain experience, that's how you grow and develop. If you imitate someone else, it won't ultimately get you anywhere.

That's why I'm against that approach to trading. It's possible that buying Bitcoin and hold it would be much better than rading, especially if you're trading with leverage, is up to each individual to decide for themselves what's best for them.

However, have you traded for someone and how does it ends and where you able to meet up to the monthly/weekly returns as said by the person? Share your thoughts so we can learn.

It's a wrong decision and it should be avoided by all means.
I believe that trading for someone is like a disaster waiting to happen because the person that gives you the money to trade will never understand with you if you loses everything, even though he or she is experience on how the market works. Because for him to give you his money, he believes that you are better than him in trading, so he automatically believes that you cannot lose his money, while in reality, it puts you under heavy pressure to succeed, which is not a good way to trade the market.

Trading with someone else money is like trading with a funds you cannot afford to lose, and you will see yourself start making emotional decisions because at that point you are trading with someone else money, which is a fund you cannot afford to lose.

-snip-
Actually, if you trade with a friend, you can't be said to be an imitator if you discuss a good strategy and how this trade will be done.
This is more like a discussion for the same purpose but for the execution that will be applied, each will have a different way.

I did this with my friend, discussing the state of the market and how to use a good strategy so that a formulation could be found that could be applied to the trades to be made.
It is only limited to discussing, not by regulating how much will be traded.

And what is taboo for me is not to trade for other people's money, whatever the reason is I will refuse, because the risk is greater and when there is a defeat I also have to be responsible.
Because several times I have been in positions when the market is bearish and the strategy fails, losses occur and trades fail to be made, only losses are to bear.

I have never experienced trading with other people's funds, I don't want to be blamed after when those funds fail to multiply. So I just settle with my personal funds even the amount is not that big, but I think that's good enough for someone who is also earning a minimal amount like me.

And seriously speaking, why bother using other people's funds when trading guarantees bigger chances of losing than winning. That will only ruin your friendship if ever especially if your friend is not really open to the possibility of losing. Its safe to lose your own money, than ruin the trust of the other person just because you fail to profit from trading.

I've done this before.
I had about five people invest their money in my trading activities, and during the bullish period, the results were excellent, but after the bear market turned negative.
However, when I checked, overall, holding was better than trading. With just 2 BTC at the time, holding should have yielded thousands of percent profit right now.
Of course profits are guaranteed when the market is bullish, but when the market suddenly turns bearish, trading may only end up the other way around. That's why I don't get too confident trading with other people's capital, even if they insist. Because trading somehow turns like gambling when you trade during an unstable market. It's safer to stick with holding bitcoin with an indefinite time.

Trading may help us yield fast profits, but the chances to lose our money in an instant is also high. In general, holding beats trading especially if you only prefer to take less risk and less stress, but losing still happens if you end up with panic selling.

I remember someone offered me quite a huge amount but I decline it, not because I'm incapable as a trader, but its because I know the high risk associated with trading. Even professionals still suffer from losses in trading. And I really think I made the right decision that time.

But its undeniable that no matter how profitable trading is despite of its high risk, nothing can beat the profit opportunities with holding alone. You are growing your possible profits every time you decide to prolong more holding your bitcoin, and that's the best decision ever that a bitcoiner should do instead of trying to beat the risk in trading, although some really end up with great trading profits.

In my opinion, there is no need to trade using capital provided by others market conditions are the primary reason I am hesitant about such an approach. Even if we feel fully prepared and confident enough to trade using external capital believing we can repay the funds we must consider the risks.

What happens if the market experiences a downturn far more severe than current trends? Would that become a problem, or would the capital providers be patient enough to wait for the return of their funds? I believe it would be quite difficult ultimately, regardless of the activity confidence alone is insufficient. Capital is a fundamental requirement before starting, especially in this field.

My perception is that losing money happens much faster than making it. As you noted, losses can occur in the blink of an eye, whereas generating profit involves a process. It feels unwise to risk capital without a clear objective, given how difficult the process of achieving profit is no one wants to see their capital wiped out instantly, and naturally, no party wants to experience a loss.

I have not done such thing to traders before and nothing will make me to help someone to trade coins because, if anything bad happen to the person coins it will make the person to lose his or her income, it will make the person to put the blame on you, and he can take legal action towards it to make sure he or she recover the funds from you, I can only learn from traders that have more experience on crypto trading than me because it will help me to learn new things from them that will make me succeed to become a better trader like them in future, which is the wish of every new traders in this forum.

To be fair, even sharing my trades would be something I am not willing to do, that is like saying "this is what I am doing, and you should too", you are not saying that, you are not saying they should do what you do, of course they may avoid it even if you say so, but you are not even saying that, but it feels like you might be, and if they do make the trade that you made, and you guys fail, they will feel like you are bad influence on them and you made them lose money, even though you never said they should repeat what you do, they will not understand that, and the loss will be on you.

So in every share any move I make, the only thing I have ever said my entire life that could be considered a suggestion would be, if you are ever going to buy bitcoin, do not buy it to get rich quick; buy it to hold for a decade. That is my entire suggestion history; I never suggested anything else.

I think this is unlikely, because if someone trades on your recommendation and loses their coins, they're unlikely to be able to prove anything, even if they sue you. This is because the relationship between you isn't formally or documented in any way. Therefore, if someone wants to trade on someone else's advice, or allows someone else to trade their coins for them, they assume all the risks.

There was a person in my city who was recently arrested by the police. He collected money from several people and promised them that he would generate good profits for them. However, as we all know the trading market is uncertain and he ended up losing all the money. Since he was unable to repay the investors, he is now behind bars.

Not only that but I would also like to share one of my own experiences. I’m sure most of us are familiar with the Copy Trading feature available on many popular exchanges. In the beginning, I was fascinated by the impressive returns displayed on the profiles of copy traders. As a result, I decided to copy a trader with 2000 USDT. Unfortunately, I lost my entire investment and my balance dropped to zero.

From that day onward, I promised myself that I would never rely on others when it comes to trading. It’s my money, so I should be responsible for deciding where to invest it and where not to.

Lol, that’s a terrible ending.
I don't think business failure should lead to criminal charges; clauses regarding risk ought to be agreed upon by the parties involved right from the start.

It would be a different story if there was misuse of funds, guaranteed returns, or anything amounting to fraud. So, the big question is: was the guy actually trading?

I have not gotten any expected results from trading yet. I have presented this to you from my real experience. I started very dramatically and with a greedy attitude and expected to buy low and sell high. But the matter is much more complicated than that. I bought a reputable crypto and my goal was not very long term. The withdrawal period was a week or a month but its price kept decreasing.

I was worried about losing capital at that time, an experienced trader told me "why don't you buy more" He advised me to buy more to reduce the buying price. This strategy worked but gradually my funds ran out and the price kept falling. Finally I was in this situation for about 6 months and sold it at a loss of about 30%. This trading experience of mine is a lesson for many. Currently I am accumulating Bitcoin and regardless of the price I use the DCA method.

Trading for someone is the biggest mistake one can ever make. In as much as we still trade to try our luck, it isn't adviceable to trade for someone or collect money from somebody promising them you will trade, and make money for them with their money, if you try such, you end up being disappointed, and they will arrest you for duping them of their money. What ever you want to try in the name of trading, make sure you are doing that with your own money, and not someone's else's.
Trading is not something that we can take a gamble on having in mind that you will gain back your money after trading, it is something you just have to try to see whether you will gain profit or not.
So many persons are making gains from trading, and at the same time, so many persons are also losing on the process, so therefore, trade with a little amount, trade with your own money and not someone's else.

No, I have never done that, and I would never do it in the future as well, because I believe both trading and investments are things which a person should do only with their own money, and with money that they believe is extra for the time being and they don't need it right now and won't need it in the near future, because anything is possible in these things, gambling can also be included in this but that's a different topic so I didn't mention it. Anyway, I've actually noticed that a lot of people mostly do this, sometimes because they have made some trades and fortunately made some profits, so they feel overconfident and believe they can do it better if they have more money, and sometimes they are just delusional.

I've literally seen people taking money from others for trading not by saying that they would pay them commission or profits but just borrowing it to return it very quickly, and then losing that money in trading and then being ashamed because they wouldn't now be able to return the money. I've learned a lot of things in my life, and this is one of the lessons that I've learned that never take responsibility of making money for someone else, no matter what, if things go wrong, you would not be able to face them for life, because people don't forget such things easily.

Trading is already risky itself, and it will be more risky if you trade on other people's money. Although there is no wrong nor its bad if you accept the offer of your friend or colleague, but no matter how experienced and skillful you are as a trader, your present performance and its current outcome will not guarantee the same thing will happen in your future trades.

The market keeps changing, maybe today you have seen opportunities to profit from trading, but tomorrow or the next couple of days trading will be a lot more unpredictable, especially if you force yourself to trade despite an unfavorable market.

That's why I find it more easy, calm and comfortable to trade if you use your own money that you can afford to lose. At least there is no pressure to win, and you won't feel any stress if ever your trade did not really end well.
