EPL is always unpredictable gone are the days of Manchester City dominating the league. I don't think anyone can predict this correctly, because no team should be underestimated. Only Bayern and PSG is a sure bet. In Laliga, it's either Barca or Real Madrid. You can only win that of Laliga by luck.

In this Premier League top 6, I wouldn't risk betting that Chelsea and Manchester City could be there. I know there will be people saying the opposite because they saw the name "Manchester City" and forgot that Guardiola is no longer there, so I won't consider Manchester City strong without Guardiola for now. It's also strange that you didn't include Aston Villa, who finished 4th last season, 6th in the 2024-2025 season, and 4th in the 2023-2024 season, and it was in that season that Tottenham finished 5th. With a new manager at Tottenham, I see them with the potential to finish in the top 6.

For me, the safe bets would be:

- Bayern to be champions

- PSG to be champions

- Arsenal and Liverpool to finish in the top 6

If there's a market to bet that Haaland won't be the top scorer, I won't hesitate to bet $1 because the odds will be high, so it will be very worthwhile. Without Guardiola and with this new coach, Manchester City will decline, and he will go down with it.

You're essentially betting on place 3 rather than place 3&4.

On paper, this looks like a perfect bet strengthening, instead of 25% you are aiming for 66% profit, which in itself is a big X - 2.64 (66/25).
But there's a huge risk of a repeat of last season's situation, when Atlético, having dropped out of the title race, completely abandoned La Liga and focused on the Champions League. The most striking example is this segment of games:

On April 8, Atletico Madrid beat Barcelona in the Champions League with their main squad
On April 11, Atletico loses to Sevilla (17th place before the game) playing with its second team
On April 14th, the return match in the Champions League against Barcelona with the main squad
April 22nd loses to Elche (18th place before the game) playing with its second team

Atletico doesn't care about third place at all, they're cynically solving problems and redistributing resources, so despite the apparent similarity of the situation, the risk here is growing at the same rate (if not more) than the profit.
If this was a real competition for gold with Real and Barcelona actually missing, I would bet on Atletico 1.66 without hesitation, they have only missed out on this "title" twice in the last 15 years

Sincerely most time you can’t really predict what would happened next to these club you had picked. Like know the English premier is actually that competitive and if you do not know what you pick then the game would be against you completely.
However, it will be more better to bet on the team you know very well and familiar with otherwise if you bet on a team you do know there way around there are possibilities for you to lose more.

I really do like the outright acca for Top 4 finishes. Haaland seems like a steal for me, but I personally avoid individual performances once a huge managerial change happens (as I missed out on Salah 2 seasons ago, I say this).

Only an injury or some force majeure could prevent Haaland from showing his average result (27+ goals, which would ensure first place) after all, City is still under threat of the verdict of that case about 115 violations, but the odds compensate for the risk in my opinion.

I was never more than hopeful when the news first emerged, and when last season simply went by without any meaningful progress, I think it's safe to say nothing significant will come of it. I wouldn't want to punish Haaland for it, most if not all those charges related to a period he wasn't even around (I think).

Still waiting for some odds here and there, I might actually have no outrights this season for the first time in about ten years. Nothing speaks to me strongly, for some reason.

All thanks to Arteta for being the first manager to battle with Pep Guardiola and win the EPL. I wont include 2025 Arne Slot because Manchester City wasn't in a position to contest for the league title. However, Manchester City still has a decent squad to compete for the league, but it seems we dont have faith in Enzo Maresca to be a successful manager at City. My choice to win the EPL for now is Arsenal.

That a very decipline approach before the season get to start a lot of bettors, do have this feelings that they do need an outright ticket. But would say staying out it also a decision if odds don't really offer good value enough. Afterfew first matchweeks, markets do become clearer as new managers will settle in, were we check out how signing fit and also wheathe the key players do stay fit. I would would really say that it better one lock it bankroll in a bet he don't really believe in, then for him to miss outright opportunity. Patience really do pays most times it a best value

This market will definitely be here: polymarket.com/sports/epl/props The latest is September 1st, when the transfer window closes and it will be clear exactly which players will be in action. It's a shame that traditional bookmakers don't offer "No" bets on most outcomes, very often i want to bet against a specific event (and include it in a multiple bet).

Liverpool is certainly one of the safer picks, but Aston Villa is often overlooked. Aston Villa had a much stronger season last year, which should help maintain the players' confidence and winning mentality. On top of that, Unai Emery has shown that he knows how to keep his team competing in the top six. Those are the main reasons I'm confident enough to back Aston Villa.

6.28 is definitely not a coefficient that can be considered reliable In this thread, I'm collecting odds that can be a free (or so we think, haha) boost to other bets and be minimally risky. The multiple bets I make from them are simply a demonstration of the overall boost you can get.

As KT explained, not in the same "safe" zone as others. Now if that was closer to 3/1, I would say it's value on its own. I'll share a result of what I like with these well-researched (excluding Villa picks). It's a way to make a dull 6/1 Liverpool title win an exciting almost 10/1, like so:

We can't be sure that Manchester City would drop in performance with a new manager, but we may see new team selection but if Haaland remains at the club then am I can bet on him to score in almost every match but not as a top scorer.
As for Arsenal, am sure the new season would definitely make them try to replicate their performance last season but it might be difficult since we know Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and even Tottenham could topple them from the start of season.

I never really like betting on the big 5 teams in the EPL unless they play against themselves or a weaker side from relegation, and then there's the Laliga and Bundesliga which is always my favorite selection to bet on.

Besides, you don't have to place a bet right now, you can do so right before the tournament starts. Bayern and PSG are very likely to win the title as early as April, which reduces the total waiting period to 8 months. Let's say the term is 9 months, if we recalculate 32% for a year, it will be 42% per annum. Still not enough for you? I'm just curious how much you'd like bookmakers to pay you for simply waiting and taking minimal risk.

Well it was this very thread that led me to look at those. I had 6/1 on another bookie, but they didn't have the other markets, so I actually feel a bit sore I settled for 5.8 but hey, it was and always is a hopeful punt with Liverpool. Getting almost 10/1 does seem a decent "boost".

I have to say I haven't looked at Polymarket yet, despite seeing how good some of the ML odds are there. I probably need to understand it first (do shares for example automatically sell as soon as outcomes are determined or do you have to place all the orders?). And the other thing is the web3 wallet, I really only have non-BTC coins on bookies. Can't be arsed to maintain a wallet with gas etc.

Good maths. I'm not disputing that because I tried to do it last season But it requires substantial amount of capital to be locked up. I only said what I said because just backing those teams week in, week out might offer much more rewards vs time even though it means more risk. The average gambler won't benefit much from locking up low to mid sized stakes in this for months.

For someone with size, I 100% agree because banks and even investment products like MMF don't offer anywhere near 20%
