•What could be the possible solution?
The best solution in this situation is the role of the government, the government has an important role to maintain justice, imposing higher taxes on those who have many property assets will have an impact on reducing ownership, so that ordinary people have the opportunity to buy at a standard price according to the market, the solution from yourself may have to be smarter in managing finances so that the goal of buying a house can be realized, there is no need to rush because the increase in house prices is not that aggressive and will not increase in 1-5 years so do not force yourself to pay installments to buy with a cash price is highly recommended

Imposing high tax on rich people can't stop them from getting more properties. Look at the US for example, the real estates are owned by rich people even though the government promised they are going to tax the wealthy people but who feels the heat? Of course the people who rent this properties. The tax system does not stop them from owning, it's even wrong to stop people from getting property by increasing the tax, that's not development, that's wickedness.

If the government does not regulate the foundation which are materials for construction, things are going to be the same. One of the problems we have here is monopoly of supply and the problem is not even the suppliers it's from where those materials are produced. The cement for example is controlled by one man for more than 25 years now, he controls the price and does not allow competition, there are other materials that are controlled by some elite too.

Implementing a high tax system on the rich people can only worsen the whole issue, because the more money they spend the hard they will come at the ones making use of the properties so that will not help the matter, the only way to solve it is only when the government makes the economy system a bit conducive for the common man out there else people will keep being under the shadow of this rich folks, but how can they make it such when they are still the rich folks making the next man feel worthless of themselves, even after putting up a lot of hard work for things to work out.

Honestly, I would point to supply and demand to blame for the rise in housing expenses... the problem is that everyone wants areas that have all the luxurious amenities such as the gyms, sports facilities, malls , clubs you name it... and what this does is that competition for  good accommodation just pushes price up as demand continues to rise and the only way to afford decent housing is to avoid these luxury locations and you will be okay, otherwise if you want something that checks all your boxes be ready to pay a premium  Grin
Yhis increase is not just in the city alone but even areas thst are not well developed houses are still expensive. It is just a problem of economy. Before now things where only expensive in the city and people migrate to developing areas where things are affordable but now even in developing areas it is not easy for people to cope. I know it is not easy but the only way people can meet up with living is to increase their income and to cut cost by all means , it will enable one to be able to meet with the demands in this harsh economy.  To survive right now is all about planning,  increase in income.

Totally agree 💯
Btw I thought people are adapting to new ways of cutting costs, if your house has unused rooms for example.. people have gone on to renting out this space which is a win for the house owner and a good deal for tenants and these deals can be found almost everywhere thanks to technology and perfect example is Airbnb..

The only real challenge comes in when the family starts to grow, you need to be ready to foot the bill's for the extra space/bigger house.. otherwise with careful planning people don't need to feel these high costs of planning .

It's hard to cut cost when we have to sacrifice some other important expenses that we do. But even if we do so, we're going to have trouble in any housing cost if we substitute that.

And that's what everyone is trying to live then, just to survive and pay the rent. The house remains a dream but no one stops from dreaming that's being reached.

A lot have accepted that it's not going to be easy and has already lost their drive to own one for being so expensive. Calculating the mortgage, cost, renovation costs, and other expenses. They consider it's not worth it anymore and it's unaffordable and it is real.

House rent is a global concern, the landlords are becoming something else, they are just after money. Without consideration,  some landlords will not renovate the building or any maintenance but they will increase rent every year.

As citizens we have to use our heads in every situation,  we must survive it, in you're new in a city don't stay in the city central, go to a place where you can afford for the moment till you level up don't put yourself unnecessary pressure for house rent, rent within your earn. It's not getting easier,  save to build your personal house, to avoid rent, that should be your dream.

Although to an extent I don't blame them for there actions in rent increment because the price of commodities now is uncontrollably high that the market can no longer be predicted.
In my country today the amount needed to build any apartment is 4 times that of what it used to be years back and the only way of getting it back is by increasing the cost of rent. I know many may be tempted to ask if am in full support of this increment of rent but am of the opinion that the government needs to intervene are help in reducing the cost of commodities so it can be easy for a common man to get his own house.
Nobody is actually blaming them because the cost of living now is on the high side and the landlords are also trying to meet up. But where it is bad is when they just overly increase rent , most times more than 100% and even every year interval in my country, no regulation guiding them, which is bad. Yes building materials are now expensive compared to before but not them trying to collect all the money they spent building the house from tenants in one year.

In many countries, house prices have risen far more than wages, making it increasingly difficult for ordinary people, particularly first-time buyers, to afford a home. As people continue to move to large cities in search of better opportunities, the demand for housing keeps growing. In addition, many investors buy properties not to live in, but to benefit from rising prices.

•What could be the possible solution?
Seems like we have the same situation here in our country. I’ve observed that land and housing price keeps increasing every year and same goes for rentals especially when you're living in the city...However, when it comes to income, the government announced an increase for minimum wage earners but it’s usually way lower than what people actually expect and honestly, it still couldn’t sustain the monthly needs of even a single person, what more if they have a family, right? Some people take the risk of buying a house thru a government housing loan programs since they offers a good and flexible payment terms. But at the same time, the interest can be quite high, so even if the monthly payment seems manageable, the total amount you end up paying can be much higher than the actual TCP of the house. That's why, some people find ways to pay and settle their total loan amount earlier than what was stated in their contract. They juggling more than 2-3 jobs, work overtime, and some if them choose to work in another country where the income is higher because of currency exchange...the sad part is that they have to sacrifice years of their lives away from their families just to afford a comfortable home and a better life for them.. I think, working abroad shouldn’t have to be the only option for us but unfortunately, that’s the reality for many people living here in our country. cost of living keeps increasing due to inflation yet the salary stays the same, which making it harder for an ordinary people to afford those basic things like housing, food, education and even a savings for the future.

Yes, many seem to have already accepted the fact that owning a home has remained just a dream, unattainable and unaffordable. And that is why many started looking for arguments in favor of rented housing. That it does not tie you to one place, that you can live in many places and in different environments. But to be honest, this seems a bit stretched to me. I do not see the positive in rented housing, especially if you have children. In my opinion, a child should have their own home, their own space, which they get used to and which they can count on. They should not think about the fact that they can be evicted at any moment and will have to set everything up and get used to it all over again. Therefore, I am still oriented toward my own housing.

Become a real estate promoter.

Simple and easy answer to anything that is becoming a problem is to become the problem yourself and not keep yourself on the other side, or in other words, if you cant beat them, join them.

But I do agree that the housing bubble has been here for too long and it is not bursting at least anytime soon.

Prices will keep on getting inflated and purchasing power is diminishing.

I once saw a woman who advertised a luxurious house, magnificent and of course big even the price almost reached the trillion mark. The highlight of many people is a woman said the price is obviously expensive with a sentence as if-olaah is cheap, such as "only one trillion only" and with the comments that I read none of them are serious because all the contents lead to a joke and I myself saw the rurmah also with the price is very high at first glance makes me think it looks like just a dream to have a house but actually we can have a house in accordance with our own financial capabilities.

Having your own home is certainly a dream for most people who live, because this is one of the goals of life that is lived but the problem is not everyone can achieve it even has worked hard in his life.

There are several factors that can make house to be expensive, one is the location where the building is sited secondly the amount spent in making the building for renters look magnificent, there are house that you don't need carry anything to it everything you needed are all in it. Having your personal house is good to avoid paying huge amount of of rent yearly those who don't have money to start building can still pay for rent but let it be in an apartment you can be able to afford with out you struggling to pay for the rent.

Yup! How will price will stop? Yeah, we know that fact: inflation is the big cause of this, which is why housing is becoming expensive. But it would also be saying not wrong; only inflation is not alone the only point which is causing the hike in housing rates, right? There are some other factors also included here; Like, the area in which you are living. If it is facilitated by all desired things, then it is very obvious that the living cost will be higher in such areas.

And if you are living in such an area where all things are not available, then the cost will be reduced due to low rents. Other than this, the cost also becomes high when the area in which you are living starts to develop, not instantly, haha, but with the passage of time, it really has big changes on its value due to the demandable area factor. Well, this is my point of view. What do you think about this?
