I think he makes a wrong decision. But it is his bitcoin, he can do whatever he likes to it.
I did not know when he bought bitcoin, why publicly announced that he is selling.
Bitcoin all time high in few year to come.
I am not thinking either he is right or wrong but wondering how a true Bitcoin lover becomes afraid of the quantum threat. I know there would be an attack if quantum computers launched, but I also believe before it happens Bitcoin developers will do a hard fork and make it more secure. That’s my belief since I love Bitcoin strongly. He is selling, but I am accumulating right now, so each of us has been thinking differently. Also, I agree with you; we may see another ATH in the next couple of years, and definitely it will happen. So it is better to accumulate now through a DCA strategy, as I am doing now.

Basically, anyone has the right to sell their Bitcoin, including Jim Cramer. Well, he might regret it, especially if what he fears doesn't happen (the threat of quantum computing) in the next few years, but he should understand that his decision today will determine his future, and he should understand all the consequences.
By the way, I am just a little puzzled: why is he so convinced of the threat of quantum computing that he is selling everything ? He should have kept some of his Bitcoin, or half for a long-term plan. Because, I think it is a wise decision to leave some Bitcoin to invest, and it is wise not to put so much confident in what might not happen.

Yes, but maybe he can use it to invest on an asset that will also increase in price very well. It might or might not regret it, depending on what he used the money to do. He can use it for business and not regret it if the business pays out very well. By the way, I am just a little puzzled: why is he so convinced of the threat of quantum computing that he is selling everything ? The Coldcard issue recently might be the reason. He can think what if quantum computers just brute force a private key and what if it is his private key. That the money will all be gone like what the Coldcard thieves did. But that is not a good point to sell his bitcoin.

Because of quantum computers threat to bitcoin security. I was thinking, he has been thinking about this before, but the recent Coldcard issue would have been what that initiated him to finally make up his mind. https://cryptobriefing.com/jim-cramer-sell-bitcoin-inverse-cramer/But many people are buying the dip instead. I think he makes a wrong decision. But it is his bitcoin, he can do whatever he likes to it. I did not know when he bought bitcoin, why publicly announced that he is selling. Bitcoin all time high in few year to come. If he sold his Bitcoin due to coldcard hacking then he definitely did wrong by selling Bitcoin. He should have kept his Bitcoin and found a way to keep his Bitcoin safe because selling Bitcoin at this time is not a good decision at all why are Bitcoins being sold when many are rushing to buy. If I were him I would not have sold any Bitcoin at this time I would have definitely sent my Bitcoin to any good wallet.

Thanks Jim for releasing your Bitcoin into the wild. More for us plebs to 'buy the dip' with.
For a guy who is known as a money and investments specialist - its not going to look well for him when the market climbs out of the current Bear mode into the next Bull mode.
For us Bitcoiners when institutional and traditional stock market investors sell their Bitcoin we take it in our stride. They might think they are/were an important cog in the Bitcoin investor engine but the market will soon forget them after they sell.

He bought bitcoin in the price range of $17,000 - $18,000 in 2020 a very low price he bought. https://www.bitcoininsider.org/article/99518/jim-cramer-bought-bitcoin-while-nicely-top-17000sI do not know if this thought of bitcoin with the threat of quantum computers is too much? I'm sure from you guys the security of bitcoin will not be easily broken by quantum computers, right? With the ColdCard incident indeed becoming a sentiment for the public, there may also be a thought that all hardware no one is safe, as ColdCard's losses have already touched $100m. Let him make his own decisions, sometimes this is also a FUD, we must believe bitcoin will rise, during the bearish phase there is always breaking news so he must survive this situation.

If truly he was taking this decision because of the coldcard recent hack, then he's making a wrong decision and losing hope upon bitcoin network because of this incidence, this is not an attack that is targeted on bitcoin network but only on coldcard users, what he would have done is to transfer his fund from one wallet to another that is more secured, a good example is an electrum multisig wallet or any other wallet that make use of passphrase.
The coldcard incident is enough reason for an investor to think of withdrawing his Bitcoin. Who knows if the next attack on another wallet will be the one he holds his Bitcoin in? Sometimes, instincts never lie. Everyone has the right to do whatever they want with their investment. It is solely up to them. An attack on a hardware wallet focusing on stealing Bitcoin alone is an attack on the Bitcoin network. After the coldcard incident, the market met a significant setback.

I'm wondering too, it's his choice too and I don't care what he does with his Bitcoin because I have my own view and plans for Bitcoin. I rather fail holding my Bitcoin and see what threat Quantum computers does to Bitcoin network than to sell now and stand on the sideline watching maybe by then when Quantum computers must have been fully rolled out Bitcoin is what half a million dollars or even more. This is why it's advisable to invest the amount you wouldn't bother losing should any negative thing happens.

Here's an except from the article. Cramer’s public positions on Bitcoin have whipsawed dramatically over the years. He’s gone from calling it worthless to recommending it as a portfolio allocation, then back to skepticism, then bullish again during 2024 and 2025. Each reversal has, with eerie consistency, coincided with the market moving in the opposite direction of his call.
I understand his concerns about the quantum computer threat, but is Jim Cramer not really ashamed of himself? Over the years, his position on Bitcoin has been like a goalkeeper shifting goal posts. He's like a dog that goes back to eat its vomit. Man should just sell his Bitcoin and be done with it. It really surprising that people who have been in the system for long are now afraid of a threat by quantum computer that can be resolved since he is not the only one in this at the moment. It is left for him anyways to decide what to do about his holding, but I think there are better approach towards this than selling his holdings so early, as he has decided in his mind to sell and be safe of losing his investment.

I always wait for FUD news like that, because it will bring bad sentiment to the Bitcoin market and can give panic pressure to every holder, including this person, I am also very familiar with his behavior and it is not unusual for me. when to buy it is not important.
Although the FUD from the Coldcard case, from the bankruptcy of BitMart and others did not make bitcoin subject to being below the $60k price level that I always hoped for, it only strengthened its position and showed that indeed we are at the bottom of the cycle.
Do not forget to buy.
And forget the speech and behavior of others who doubt bitcoin.

This is just a cue to observe the market, ignore the noise and hold more Bitcoin upon ensuring better security measures.

If Jim Cramer decides to sell his holdings because of the ColdCard hacking, then I would say that he is making a huge mistake. Why is he conflating the ColdCard and quantum computer threats? The ColdCard hardware wallet hacking is basically a specific mistake by the ColdCard authorities, so I don't think it is reasonable to question the future security of Bitcoin in this case. Therefore, if Jim Cramer wants to base his holdings only on this small issue, then I would say that he is the stupidest person in 2026. What if a celebrity like him cannot detect the quantum computer threat and the ColdCard scam? Really, if Jim Cramer really sells his holdings in the market, then the market will have a huge impact temporarily and wise investors will use this opportunity again.

Again, the Coldcard issue was just a security problem with one wallet, it shouldn't be seen as a weakness in the entire Bitcoin network.
It is not, unless people without ample knowledge take it that way, in that case, you can't really do anything. Those who have enough knowledge would know that you can't really trust anyone in regards to keeping your funds safe, not even hardware wallet manufacturers, which means that you have to take the necessary steps yourself to keep your funds safe, and the first and foremost of those steps is to always use a passphrase on your wallet because your seed phrase alone isn't going to save you as it seems, because if there is a vulnerability or an attack, a passphrase might save your bitcoins from getting stolen even if someone has found your seed phrase. People like Jim Cramer will surely do things to get attention at such times, the current time is a vulnerable one for Bitcoin holders, of course, because something happened that has caused a lot of stress and tension among the holders, and those who can manipulate them will do their best so that more people sell, the market crashes, and maybe they can buy some more sats at a cheaper rate while publicly announcing they are abandoning Bitcoin. This happens a lot in such markets.

Can't really care much about Jim Cramer. His reputation on financial statements are not good anyway. People treat him like a joke and I would mostly care if Michael Saylor said the same announcement. His opinion doesn't really matter on us mostly. Quantum computers is a threat but we still haven't have that yet and I think it is still early to be scared about that. Technology evolves, of course crypto evolves. If somehow quantum computers were available to public, this could affect not only crypto but bank and financial institutions also.

He can do whatever he wants with his Bitcoin. It's his full right to do so. If he wants to sell it due to concerns about quantum threat, then let him. After all, when Bitcoin prices rise again, he'll probably try to buy it back and say otherwise. He's already become a joke on the internet --- what he's doing now won't have any impact on the market, and people might do the opposite, buying more, just as they usually do regarding Cramer's position on the market.

I did not know when he bought bitcoin, why publicly announced that he is selling.
This was to gauge how influential his statements were on the market, but unfortunately, the results were less than satisfactory. Furthermore, given his profession in the television industry, it's no surprise that even his seemingly trivial statements attract media coverage. I don't think he's well-known in business or financial news to make even a small impact.

That is true. It is none of our business what he wants to do with his btc. Also, there's no need to announce to the world what you're going to do with your coins. If you announce it, it means, you want something from the public. And it is a different story.

Selling moves have always constituted a mode of handing over ownership of assets to forward-looking individuals to replace the hands of the speculators. Fears of Coldcard wallets and quantum technology have been futile to the big players. Information filtering will be done good and better personal security systems will ensure that investment in Bitcoin is safe despite the commotion of market rumors.

I've read that whatever Jim Cramer says is a good indication that the opposite and better thing will happen to bitcoin.
QCs here, there and everywhere. They're all scared to death about it where they've got so much money to move elsewhere and invest.
It's a free market and everyone has the free will to sell, buy, hold or do nothing. He can do whatever he want but this ride will never stop until these skeptics have been proven wrong.
