Jim Cramer is mostly a meme these days after getting so many things wrong. He’s always been over the top and that has always affected his credibility when he is trying to be serious in his analysis. I doubt he was even a real Bitcoin holder to begin with. He probably only invested through ETFs. It doesn’t really come as a surprise that he has paper hands and overreacts to the threat of quantum computers. He has always been fair-weather in his support for Bitcoin and will flip his position solely based on emotion.

https://cryptobriefing.com/jim-cramer-sell-bitcoin-inverse-cramer/

But many people are buying the dip instead.

I think he makes a wrong decision. But it is his bitcoin, he can do whatever he likes to it.

I did not know when he bought bitcoin, why publicly announced that he is selling.
I believe Jim Cramer is smarter than that, and even if he would eventually sell, that's not going to be immediately.

From the source you posted: "His reasoning: quantum computing is coming to eat Bitcoin’s lunch within three years, and everyone should be “paranoid” about it."

Quantum computers is still a threat that we are all expecting its outcome; he must know as well, judging by his personality. This is why he specifically mentioned "within 3 years." This indicates that he might still hold towards that time, and might have gained more than the current holding value before selling.

Because of quantum computers threat to bitcoin security.

I was thinking, he has been thinking about this before, but the recent Coldcard issue would have been what that initiated him to finally make up his mind.
https://cryptobriefing.com/jim-cramer-sell-bitcoin-inverse-cramer/

In this current situation, many investors are panicking due to the Coldcard hack, which is even more panicked due to the quantum computer threat. For which he is promoting that he will sell his Bitcoin, but in my opinion, selling his Bitcoin will be the most foolish thing. Because the price of Bitcoin is now very low, if he sells Bitcoin, other investors will accept Bitcoin at a cheap price. jim-cramer should stay calm, the more excited he gets, the more his Bitcoin investment will be at risk.
But I think it is not appropriate to sell Bitcoin at this time, he should wait a few more years and keep his wallet carefully. Then his Bitcoin will be safe in the future.

This is definitely a panic for every investor. Since this incident, many people have lost hope. Although it is now starting to become normal, many people sell Bitcoin and did not plan for it. Maybe some people planned to do so. At this time and in the market situation, selling Bitcoin would definitely be foolish because we know that the Bitcoin market is going to get better in the coming days. Of course, it would be foolish for jim-cramer to do the campaign that he did, but if he had any such plan, he could continue this campaign to reduce the market and buy it again later, although it is baseless and it may happen again. However, those who sell Bitcoin at this time will definitely make a big mistake. Those who wait for the next bull run will be rewarded. Every investor must be careful about wallet matters and do everything right to keep their Bitcoin safe.

Because of quantum computers threat to bitcoin security.
CNBC's TV host known for his impulsiveness? Smiley TV presenters don't have opinions of their own; they merely voice what they are told to say (by public relations specialists Smiley). Furthermore, he is not a technical expert, so his opinion on the threat posed by quantum computers would not carry any authority.

I was thinking, he has been thinking about this before, but the recent Coldcard issue would have been what that initiated him to finally make up his mind.

https://cryptobriefing.com/jim-cramer-sell-bitcoin-inverse-cramer/
The article says nothing about what guided Jim Cramer in making his decision. Therefore, these are merely your speculations.

By the way, the article describes the inverse Jim Cramer effect. You should read up on that.

But many people are buying the dip instead.
That is exactly the right thing to do. Especially when someone like Jim Cramer is urgently offloading that asset. Smiley

I think he makes a wrong decision. But it is his bitcoin, he can do whatever he likes to it.
Far from it. His decision is the right one, because one of us might be able to buy his bitcoin. Wink Rejoice in the new opportunities.

I did not know when he bought bitcoin, why publicly announced that he is selling.
Ask his editor (or the channel's management) about that. Wink He is just a hired employee doing what he’s told. Do you really want to put stock in his words and actions?

Bitcoin all time high in few year to come.
Well, of course. After the halving. Don’t need to be a visionary here, as it has become a pattern.

This is probably the main reason why we broke above 65k last week. I missed this bullish confirmation. Someone needs to make  an inverse Jim cramer indicator because I think an inverse Jim Cramer will do exceedingly well.

The reason it's the perfect indicator for the short term trend is because just a couple of weeks ago after Intel posted it's earnings, Jim tweeted that "Intel's the one". It went on to do 10 to 15 percent worth of pullback in higher cap.

Same path lies ahead for Bitcoin but to the upside.

Well, we all know that when Jim Cramer says something is going to zero, everyone does the opposite (the classic "Inverse Cramer" meme). Generally, the market takes a bullish turn. Besides, he's talking about his BTC; he can do whatever he wants with his BTC.

The technical threat he mentions regarding a possible quantum attack, but in the very long term, is something that could be addressed by BTC developers who have already been programming security and crypto updates for these quantum attacks, such as Post-Quantum schemes. I think that for now and in the near future, there is no danger whatsoever.

It's really hard to take this charlatan seriously at all when it comes to Bitcoin matters.  He has about a decade of experience proving how wrong he is and how much he is out of his depth when it comes to Bitcoin.  Trusting this guy as a Bitcoin authority is like trusting an accountant to perform brain surgery.

Trusting Jim and someone like Schiff on anything that has to do with bitcoin is something out of the line, and I have stopped taking their statements seriously. The more attention they are getting, the more they will continue producing noise. Those two are critics at the next level.

IDK what this guy's doing with his life but I guess I wasn't alone when I considered giving up my btc stash after all Grin that was right after the coldcard incident tho.. If he's concerned about quantum threat then I guess there's nothing to hold anymore: dollar can be inflated, gold can be seized, bitcoin can be attacked, just go homeless I guess? Cheesy

At the end of the day, we just have to agree that he still has his decision to make and wether he decides to sell because of the recent COLDCARD case or because of fear of quantum computing, the consequences of his action are his and only his alone to bear. eventually we will also get to our exit point when the right time comes and wether our decision at the times goes well with others or not wont be our concern. we have seen enthusiast selling and it just makes his understand that every investor has his journey that is completely unique and peculiar to him and him alone.

Cramer's move should be considered a personal investment decision. Not a call to follow suit. While he may have been incorrect about Bitcoin in the past. The decision to sell or hold in the end comes down to his own risk tolerance. Objectives and market perspective. The key thing for other investors is not to act based on what they hear from others and others opinions. It is important to each Bitcoin investor to consider their own plan. And determine whether or not it is wise to maintain or sell their bitcoins at a particular time.
