How is that even possible to include your rakeback? Personally I don't include that, I only include my loses and wins I don't see any need for that. But the truth is that I don't track the performance of my gambling because I see it as a waste of time, tracking your loses could make you do something you don't intend to do after you must have seen how much you have lost, if you had invested it in something, how far the business or the Investment would have gone. At this point you can start chasing your losses to see if you can recover.

A quick one. For those who like the idea of tracking their gambling performances, that is their losses and wins. Do you only focus on your losses and wins alone, or do you also track your rakebacks and Bonuses?
For example, your total losses for the month is $1000 and you somehow manage to get $150 back as your rakeback, would your say your total net loss is $850 or would you prefer to set your rakeback aside?
When you used 1k to gamble and it happens that you where given a rakeback of at least 15% of your initial deposit or total loss, you wouldn't have to exclude it because they also count towards your rewards and lose ( net loses). All these are also the reason why people love playing on a casino that do give a rakeback at least with all their total loses they would see what to hold back, that is why when gambling you should be that smart enough to be gambling with an allocated amount where if you lose you wouldn't be that worried over the loses, however it's also important to keep track of our gambling activities to know if you are healthy or not.

So what happens if you get to flick that bonus into something huge, will you also consider it that way? During my university days i was fortunate to see myself do that. In my opinion, I will consider that as capital.
If that bonus turns into a big win, I would simply consider it a win from the money I put in during that session. Right now, I don't take the gambling I do too seriously. I will deposit a small amount of money and play. If I lose in that session, then that's it. I will come back in the next session with a fresh mindset and new funds. I won't dwell on the previous session that's already over. That's how I gamble nowadays.

Bonus wins are part of your wins, if you are someone who cares about calculating how much they have lost and won then it's better to deduct such money from your lose, it's still part of winning from the casino.
I don't even bother myself with such wins unless they are big, bonuses count for me if they are big enough, that's when I will feel appreciated because winning from casinos doesn't or wouldn't feel like a win if the money isn't good.
Compare to what you have been risking on the casino for a while and how much you have won, it might not even come close, which is why I don't bother myself much about bonuses.

Win is a win and a loss is a loss so whenever we make a win we should always considered it as a profit but there is what we call winning at loss so this particular case is considered as a winning at loss because you made profit but it can not be compared with the loss the person made. I do not only focus on my loss neither do I focus on my win alone but rather I focus on both because If I don't check both I will be making mistakes or probably not do the right things.

If this bonus money is returned to my deposit and I can easily withdraw it, then of course, I'll count it towards my overall balance. But if it's a bonus that requires further wagering and I can't withdraw it or use it, then I won't be able to count it at all. Generally bonuses like the ones you're talking about are very insignificant relative to my overall gaming deposit, so I never count them. There's only the money I deposit and withdraw, the difference in balance is my gaming results.

Well, I'll just consider $850 loss. Important stage in gambling is self-control & self-awareness, I'll always stay within the boundaries of not becoming a problem gambler. So far, I’ve only set my limits there, I haven’t gone as far as keeping a diary of my gambling sessions. You came up with that question for us, but what about you, mate?

I don't track my gambling wins or loss. Instead of going through the routine of tracking my performance, i just prefer to just be a responsible gambler that has a job, gambles once in a while and be at peace with my financial life.
However, if I ever consider tracking my performance so far, I will include every single coin I have lost and my total gains, including bonuses and rebate. I can't throw that part away because they have helped to reduce my losses. I think this should be the proper way to track your total losses or gains. Not including bonuses and rebates will be sending the wrong message to gamblers who are overthinkers.

I don't also consider for rakeback bonuses in gambling, because it used to come to my mind that what if I were not given it at first, the rakeback bonus should not be included in either our losses or the fortune realized from gambling. After all, the casino willingly offers us this based on their terms, while what should be considered is our personal initial money wagered, and not necessarily included in the bonus received as rakeback.

Think about this very well and read your post again. Is it making sense?
But there is a nuance here. OP's question isn't entirely unreasonable either. He probably wants to know if those who track gambling performance only look at the outcome of bets or do they also factor in rewards. From cash accounting point of view, yeah, you are right, how decreased your wallet/bankroll, it can be found by calculating Net loss. But you probably understood OPs original question a little differently. He probably wants to know how his gambling performance was? Will he see betting results and rewards separately? A serious gambler will usually get a clearer idea by keeping two metrics. Yeah, in that context I agree that OP’s question actually makes sense. If your idea is to properly track your wagering performance and not just see how much money you have left then your final balance by itself isn’t enough. I’d keep those number separate as well. Actually this will help you understand whether your strategy is working or not. Also you can easily find out if your cashback or other reward are getting you out of loss or not. Like, you may have lost on your original bets but the cashback and bonus you receive can cover your loss thus making your profit somewhat more stable. But yes, if you just want to keep track of your overall spending then total P/L is probably enough.

The loss is still considered $1000 because the gain from his regular rakeback back in play eventually lost then I do not consider a loss of $1150, so keep the initial bankroll in the count. Every gambler has their own calculations sometimes regardless of the rakeback bonus they get at the casino, they will record winnings when the Bankroll deposited is won. I think gamblers have a different view.

Loses is lose and what ever you spent gambling is worth taking note of because if you lose the rakeback can't actually make your balance to be as the total net lose. However, I wouldn't include the rakeback instead what I lost is just that specific amount. To be frank, I have never benefited from bonuses or free spin, most of the time when I signed up for a new casinos I could be given bonuses but when reading down to the requirements I just have to lose it because they are not suitable with me at all. Would say the same thing on which this is why whenever i do lose up that $1000 then having that rakeback but you would eventually lose that $150 again, and thats why i dont really that bother myself on trying out to exclude and consider $850 was total spent on gambling. Whenever i do make that deposit then it would be considered final but of course im already getting used to it and thats why calculations about on how much you lost wont matter that much because you will lose in the end though. On this case each gambler would really be having their own take or behavior some might be that skipping out and dont mind but there are those who are mindful about on how much they have spent and getting back and spend it again on which i would say its not a bad habit or approach either.

I am actually someone who would not advice others to track their wins and losses on casinos. I personally believe that encourages ones to chase losses in the long term and risk more money one is actually able to gamble away. However, assuming I actually wanted to track my loss/profit ratio, I would take my take back in consideration since it is a kind of "income" for my account. It would be kind of unrealistic not to include it, and it may unbalance the whole tracking process. Just my two sats on this matter.

There is no point in calculating rakeback; the best way to get the appropriate figure is you check how much you deposit for a certain period and how much you actually withdraw from the casino that same period, how much you have left as a balance, and then you can get the right figure. Rakeback, they don’t allow you to withdraw it straight; it always comes with wager requirements, which you can still end up burning it all out.

It may sound responsible action for doing that for some people, but tracking win lose data can create pressure to some players. Once they see that they are losing, maybe by that time they think about chasing their losses and this is how real problem starts to come with them. Also yeah I include that cashback or rake back as actual part of my balance. Since ignoring those matter sounds like we are lying on our self regarding on data's we trying to track. But all in all, I strongly believe that if we focus to much tracking on our stats, it can make us choose or decide to gamble more. That's why I don't do it, since I believe simple approach is much better and safer to us.

Putting it like this would become a real job, noting wins, noting losses. Do you perhaps write down things related to i don't know, going to the cinema, being with your woman? Because these are things that relax you. If you start writing these things down (I'm not saying you do, it's a general discussion) it means you're taking the game too seriously.

Rakeback aside, what matters is the amount deposited into the gambling account that matters, if you are running down the calculations at the end of every months to track down the wins and losses, rakeback are not to be included, infact, rakeback bonuses should be calculated differently. That's how I'll do it for my own easy understanding.

A quick one. For those who like the idea of tracking their gambling performances, that is their losses and wins. Do you only focus on your losses and wins alone, or do you also track your rakebacks and Bonuses? For an honest record, yes I also tracks bonuses, rakeback, cash back and any other funds that is given away by the casinos. They are earned through our gambling activities anyway. For example, your total losses for the month is $1000 and you somehow manage to get $150 back as your rakeback, would your say your total net loss is $850 or would you prefer to set your rakeback aside?
If one loses $1000 and gets a rakeback of $150, in a ledger of gambling cash flow, the $150 will be considered a gain even though we have lost $1000, and calculate the net loss, we must subtract the gain from the losses or vice versa, thus the net loss will be $850, assuming that the $150 rakeback had been withdrawn.

This is common sense, for you to know how much you normally bring out to gamble with for the month, and to later get a lesser amount than that amount, your mind is supposed to let you know you are already at a loss in that month, so that you can take note of it that you gamble with a particular amount, only to get less rakeback amount For the next month, from the beginning to its end, any good gambler will love to make a cross-check of which month they loss a lot than the other months
