I am actually someone who would not advice others to track their wins and losses on casinos. I personally believe that encourages ones to chase losses in the long term and risk more money one is actually able to gamble away.
However, assuming I actually wanted to track my loss/profit ratio, I would take my take back in consideration since it is a kind of "income" for my account.
It would be kind of unrealistic not to include it, and it may unbalance the whole tracking process.

Just my two sats on this matter.

Putting it like this would become a real job, noting wins, noting losses.
Do you perhaps write down things related to i don't know, going to the cinema, being with your woman? Because these are things that relax you.
If you start writing these things down (I'm not saying you do, it's a general discussion) it means you're taking the game too seriously.

It means it is not longer a game and it became a business, and we have embedded in your heads that any business is supposed to be profitable. When we see we have accumulated losses against the house, naturally we allow our greedy to take over, so we start to chase losses in order to break even against the house, that is when all problems begin and we accumulate even more losses.

It is better to treat all this as a game and just mentalize ourselves to get money from working and investing.
Not everyone is supposed to be a winning gamblers, and that is okey.

It is not al to lose money during gambling.

I only track my wins and loses , because I'm not a party to those bonus,I do not even use them most times,so I don't really bother much about it ,my concern and concentration is always on how much I have lost and my winning,if I'm progressing or I'm on the losing side ,so I can know how to adjust my gambling habit, but channeling my focus on bounse or Rakeback is totally out of it ,such record helps in one managing there bankroll.

For example, your total losses for the month is $1000 and you somehow manage to get $150 back as your rakeback, would your say your total net loss is $850 or would you prefer to set your rakeback aside?

Its better to just track your wins and losses so you can really measure your performance. Those bonuses are only extra. They might help, but they dont really show your true capability. If you want a realistic result after following your performance, then just stick to the actual wins and losses.

No more extras.

Rakeback is part of the gains, it's you against the house so anything that comes from them should be considered an extra, but this is one of those things that you take your mind and eye off for peace of mind as a gambler, I've seen too many people chasing after bonuses for some reasons but not me, I don't want to be in any situations where I will feel like I am a slave to gambling, chasing bonuses is one of them ways.

I avoid VIP status and Bonuses, most times I hardly use them, I don't see how this is beneficial to my mind as a gambler, it only helps with you wanting to gamble more and more, because for you gambling is the only way out of your sorry life, and for my gambling is not even something I must engage with all the time.

I believe you're doing the right thing by using your actual gambling experience, not bonuses. But that's why I still consider rakeback with my overall results as it is real money that will eventually turn back to my bankroll. Even if it's not a direct result of winning bets. It helps to lower my losses over time. However I never let the idea of rakeback sway my sense of gambling or the amount of money I would like to risk. It's something I consider a minor extra reward. And my primary focus is on my bankroll and profits/losses.

A quick one. For those who like the idea of tracking their gambling performances, that is their losses and wins. Do you only focus on your losses and wins alone, or do you also track your rakebacks and Bonuses?

For example, your total losses for the month is $1000 and you somehow manage to get $150 back as your rakeback, would your say your total net loss is $850 or would you prefer to set your rakeback aside?

I would say my loss is 850 dollars as long as I have this rakeback to play again which means give it another try and if it happens that I lose it completely then and only then I write as 1000 dollars total loss for the month. I think this is the correct mindset money wise because as long as you have the money in your balance that is exactly what rakeback does, easing somewhat your suffering by softening the total amount of net loss.

Keeping records of both losses and wins will help minimize further loss if the gambler has made more loss than win it will be an indication to take a break from gambling for the main time, because if we should analyze this very well majority of gamblers incur more loss than their wins like about 80 percent loss and 20 percent win that is gambling reality, some persons still considered it as a fun game which I am not against but if am losing such amount on something I do not even get up to 50 percent of the money used trust me there is nothing fun about it because is it a financial stress, even in business people do keep record of their gain and the losses they made over time to enable them avoid such on their next sale and tackle the course.

Na, I treat rakeback and bonuses as extras. They are gifts I receive from the casino for being loyal. So, if I say I lost $1,000, I still consider it a $1,000 loss. I don’t include rakeback when calculating my bankroll.

Instead I use the rakeback and bonuses to take higher risk bets. Sometimes I bet 3x on Auto Roll in Dice and make good profits and other times I place bets on high odds sports matches.

If I included them in my gambling results, my total loss would appear smaller and that would also reduce my motivation to recover the amount I lost. So yes I prefer to keep rakeback separate and use it only for taking a chance and trying my luck.

I played poker for a long time, and rakeback was important to me because calculating it gave me a complete picture and influenced my final monthly and annual profits, or made my losses seem less significant. Now I understand that you first need to become a pro to play a lot of poker games, and then even a breakeven game can turn into a profit thanks to rakeback. It's likely that even professionals survive and stay in the game thanks to rakeback, which allows them to stay afloat and play their favorite game for many years. Incidentally, rakeback ties a player to one poker room, because the motivation to earn rakeback in another disappears due to the low value at the beginning of their journey.

If your objective is only to judge your betting skill or game selection then it is advisable to track bonus or rakeback separately. But if you want to know what is your real financial result at the end of month then I don't see any reason to exclude cashback & rakeback.

Even though rakeback or cashback is extra but it could increase your expected return in long run if you are high-volume player. They may not be of any use to those who gamble very little. So for any high volume player or VIP player, rakeback and cashback must be considered for bankroll management or real profit/loss calculation.

While taking statistics or analysis of your wins, and losses, I think Rakeback should also be taking into account, but Rakeback is neither counted as wins or losses, but is a kind of reward or bonus offered to you as a result of what you have spent gambling on that platform, and is usually a very small percentage of your total spending. However, your Rakeback should be deducted from the total money spent, and like you mentioned, if total amount spent is $1000, and Rakeback is $150 , you have actually spent $850 , but like I said is neither losses nor win, and should be on a different record.

Well i think rakeback is not a profit . When i takes 1000$ from you and from your 1000$ i give u 150$ as a rakeback your loss is still 850$ whether u can count this 150$ in profit or rakeback the reality is you are still in a loss. Actually rakeback is a trap because when a person receive a rakeback a brain feels like rewarded and due to this the person becomes engaged in betting. I also did not count rakeback like a profit because rakeback maybe give me a little help in my bank roll management but i never fool myself by mixing rakeback with a profit.

I prefer to check for my actual winnings and losses, anything that came from rakebacks don't count because at the end of the day I would have lost that money if it wasn't given back to me so while I might have gotten it back that bet was still a loss and I count it as one, this way I don't give myself any false hope that I won when I actually lost. Different things work for different people though so others can just count it all as winnings.

For example, your total losses for the month is $1000 and you somehow manage to get $150 back as your rakeback, would your say your total net loss is $850 or would you prefer to set your rakeback aside?
There is no point in calculating rakeback; the best way to get the appropriate figure is you check how much you deposit for a certain period and how much you actually withdraw from the casino that same period, how much you have left as a balance, and then you can get the right figure. Rakeback, they don’t allow you to withdraw it straight; it always comes with wager requirements, which you can still end up burning it all out.

That's much calculations not every gambler would have the luxury to entertain when they can easily minus what is given as rakeback for the month from their total deposit and just come to the conclusion of this is what I lost. And provided that i haven't wagered the rakeback yet it's not enough to conclude it's a lost, because I can still make a profit from it by some luck. I have watched gamblers make some significant profit through rakeback and they never expected it at the moment.

If I lose $1000 over the month, I will write down $1000 as the result of the game. Because rakeback is not returned as withdrawable money, but because of the casino's terms and conditions, it cannot be withdrawn. If the $150 rakeback is really returned as withdrawable money after meeting the casino's terms and conditions, then my final loss will be $850 and that is what I will write down.

Someone may be losing $1000 because of their bad decisions, but because of their high betting, they got a good $150 rakeback. If you look at $850 as a loss, it may not seem like a bad result. But in reality, you lost $1000 and the rakeback is just a partial reduction in that loss.

I definitely understand that, but my objective is to measure the actual skill, so I would not count those bonuses.

Of course bonuses can improve your chances of making a profit, but it feels more fulfilling if you reach your goal of becoming profitable long term based on your real results. I know this may be hard for some people to accept, but thats the reality. You need a working system to win in gambling, especially in sports betting or other games we consider skill based.

You said it comes with terms, so I would not consider it returned money yet since its not ready to withdraw. You still lost $1,000. Counting the rakeback already will only understate the loss and make the record look unrealistic. That's just how I see it though. Casino bonuses usually come with conditions, and meeting them is not always easy.

I don't play very often, so overall I don't really track the statistics of my gambling results. I remember a few good wins, but there were only a few of them, which isn't enough for actual statistics. But speaking theoretically, for a regular player, rakeback is a free plus to the bankroll, which directly correlates with PnL. Over a long distance, even a couple of percent of return nicely cover the casino edge and may significantly change the final numbers. Ignoring it just leaves you with a not entirely relevant picture of your actual balance.

Nah, I don't include the bonus when I'm tracking. In fact, sometimes, I withdraw the bonus right away to separate it when I'm calculating my total winnings or to prevent myself from losing it as well. What shows in my daily to monthly stats is all I need.

But I don't track as much now unlike before. I know it's just a coincidence and just my bad luck, but whenever I'm winning and, of course, get curious to see my stats on how much I made, then proceed to check it, after that I will have a red streak. It's like I'm evil-eyeing my own stats. Lol. So, as long as I can, I stop myself from checking. But sometimes, I also ask support to see my overall stats, like from the very beginning out of curiosity.

I also don’t include the bonus as part of my playing capital. But I tend to leave it at the casino if I feel like I’ve played enough. But if I still want to play, I’ll use the bonus right away to play. Some people might also count it as playing money, but I don’t think of it that way. I only count the amount I’ve deposited.
