yea they look fine. some from when I travelled and logged in on mobile. but they are all in places where I was at.
And can they be restored?
The admin might only be able to restore them as archive files (though I’m not entirely sure). In any case, your messages remain stored in the server database and are only completely lost if six months have passed since both parties (sender and recipient) deleted the PM.

If it was a hack, just would expect messages after a certain period of time deleted, which will be the ones the hacker sent to other users, and not them deleting hundreds of messages you had already sent, that doesn't benefit them much.
If there's unusual activity, that's probably the culprit. If not, you can try clearing your cache or any other action you can do on your end. If that doesn't work, then reach out to the admin to give your account a look to check what may have went wrong. The forum keeps logs of pms, restoring them should be an option.
