There is no loss in bitcoin investment unless you don’t have a proper entry and exit plan to your bitcoin investment. For one that has invested in bitcoin at a lower price and sold at an higher price cannot face loss. Those that fall in this dilemma are mostly selling out of panic due to fall in price. If you as an investor stick to your plan of taking profit at a targeted price, you don’t have a problem of selling at loss because if your goal hasn’t being achieved, you won’t be pushed to sell no matter the condition of the market. Set the rule, stick to the rule, don’t pay attention to FOMO/FUD, and you’ll have a profitable investment in bitcoin.

I think op was even targeting the day traders because I was wondering why an actual investor would be worried over a loss they are certain would be recovered when the price finally gets back up because in as much as bitcoin isn't falling down to zero, I don't think an investor would be liquidated as liquidation is mostly common in trading and not just holding.

I have to agree with you that, as an investor, we should have a target price to sell our coin and as long as the price isn't reached, it is advised we keep holding and this thing is what many investors don't know how to do as they're all focused on not selling and making it seem like selling is wrong,
so it is advised to seek opportunities to buy low and sell high when you see the chance.

This might definitely insight fear into you in making another investment,  but the truth is that you have to realize that failure is an experience, that can help you do better in your next investment.  It's really hard not to be scared in making another investment,  but like I said you have just gained experience and you should try again and you will never make the same mistake again, hopefully you will do better in your next attempt.

Beginners who have the intention of buying Bitcoin to hodl can lose Bitcoin based on their decisions or even the mindset of getting rich quick in Bitcoin. After hodling for some time, it can get boring, which may lead them to decide to sell, and this can lead to losses.

However, real hodlers who are disciplined and mean it when they hodl Bitcoin long-term don’t lose Bitcoin. Real DCA investors accumulate Bitcoin without having the expectation of making a profit in a short time; the goal is always long-term.

I understood from op's post that you think of many strategies for investing in Bitcoin. Actually, there is no such thing as loss when you invest in Bitcoin. You just have to hold it patiently, then you will definitely get good profit from it. If you lose, what kind of lesson do you want to learn from it? At that time, will you think that you have invested at the wrong time? You are probably right that there is no possibility of loss if you hold it for a long time. But many people break it even after making a long-term plan. Although DCA saved me from investing at the wrong time, if someone gives money to DCA that he will need very soon, he will probably sell it when he needs it. This will ruin his long-term attitude and he may suffer losses. That is why it becomes difficult to give guarantees in the case of Bitcoin.

Of course, an investor will be in a better position than a trader. If someone understands his own capabilities and buys slowly and regularly, he will be able to strengthen his position, which a trader may not be able to do.

This is what I really like about DCA, since it eliminate the disturbing situation and what people need to deal with it is to be consistent with their accumulation.

No losing with DCA not unless they decide to liquidate. Common losses will occur with day traders because they are dealing with fast phase or changes and hard to deal with this situation, especially if they are not sure what's going to happen next on Bitcoin.

Beginners who have the intention of buying Bitcoin to hodl can lose Bitcoin based on their decisions or even the mindset of getting rich quick in Bitcoin. After hodling for some time, it can get boring, which may lead them to decide to sell, and this can lead to losses.

The cause of their boredom is as a result of high expectations from Bitcoin. They always feel that bitcoin price will always increase which makes them feel bad if the price somehow dip.  They will start having doubt on their investment which make them to neglect their investment plan.  A very common cause on why investors/beginner are unable to hold bitcoin for a long time is because of their poor financial planning. It can come in two ways;

Actually in the Bitcoin investment of a thing not every investor has experienced any loss since the period they started investing in Bitcoin. Let's not assume that someone invested with $1k because that person must be among the early investors who forsaw the potential of Bitcoin and took the advantage but just imagine those who met Bitcoin at $30k and based on how they saw Bitcoin rise from $1k to the 30k they bought so they decided to hold it from that amount to when Bitcoin rose to 100k plus and even until this moment they still have some Bitcoin in their holdings they have never experienced any loss even though they sold some and bought back some when the price rose to 50k or more.

So many investors has not lost a dim since they began their investment journey they may not come out to give account of what they have achieved because of security reasons but it is important to know that majority of the people who talk about how much they lost will not tell you how much they have made since they began investing in Bitcoin.
