So I’m curious, is this simply normal human competition or does it become unfairly holding others back?
To me, this is as a result of personal difference, some people are naturally greedy because they don't want people to do what they are Also doing. As in when they are benefiting from something they just want to only be the benefactor, but provided it involved other people they act cold or negatively. Some people don't mind everyone doing it, but if the opportunity is limited and involving many people will reduce their chance of taking big shear, they discourage others from taking further step. Apart from that, human always have that mentality that too Many people involving in particular project reduce the chances of benefiting from it. You're right that greed has a lot to do with such behaviour, but there is more to it. Some people are just generally evil, they don't want others to succeed or reach their level or go higher than them, because such people believe they should be superior to everyone else. It's a very wrong mindset to have, and there are a lot of examples of such people actually losing everything eventually, because as wise people said, what goes around comes around, which means that if you do good to other people, your good deeds will come back to you sometime in the future, and the same goes for bad deeds as well. People who become happy when they see others succeeding in their lives or careers, and they would never hesitate in sharing whatever knowledge or information they have about something they are into. This also reflects in a person's character in the long run, which means that you can pretend to be good when you are not but only for the short run, in the long run, your real face will be revealed, and when that happens, you won't have anyone standing beside you even if you have hardships because you didn't do anything good for others when you were in your prime.

When humans put forward lust, unhealthy reasoning, envy, arrogance, that's when humans develop a fear of losing the profits they have made so far, feel insecure about being rivaled and worry about going bankrupt and so on. When all of that has taken over their minds, that's when the thought arises of preventing other people from taking the same opportunities as they did, so that unhealthy competition in business will occur, but when they return to God it is clear that they have had their fortune. he arranged for every human being in their respective worlds. In fact, there are many ways to compete in business with normality and common sense, but most people don't think like that, the nature of a male cat being born, no other male kitten should be born.

It's very bad to discourage people from doing something that you are benefitting from, because I think it's just greed or wickedness if you do such thing. I think you don't have to bother about it, especially if it does not affect your own income, rather you should encourage them to do the same, so they can make some income for themselves. In my opinion I think most people do such thing, because they feel they don't want much people to know about how they make their income and also think that the more people get involve, it's reduces their chances of making more income from it, so they rather discourage other people from doing it. That's just an opinion, but I still think ots not enough reason for anyone to do such thing.

Those are greedy people or people that couldn't pass through the line you're taking your step. Because they have tried their best it doesn't For them for that reason dey will try to condemn discouraged you from the beneficiary opportunity. Does kind of people most times they are our parents or relatives.
Then the greedy ones are does who already have those opportunity then they keep it for them self. then Whenever you find your way out they will try as much as possible to manipulate it. for you to feel less of your self. A greedy person will do every thing possible to manipulate any assets that will favor him or not, for you too feel discourage on the process life changing opportunities.

I do not think that is true. I do not think that ANY person likes competition. They may say that they do; I am sure there are many "Kobe Bryant / Michael Jordan" instincts where people think they want to beat the others and want harder competition so that they could be better than the best. But the reality is, you want people who are 99% close to you, not 100%. Meaning that, what you desire is to work so hard and be so good that you are at the top, and people who you beat are not 5 year old children, but people who are 99% close to you; they are just missing that 1%.
You do not want to lose, you do not want to be bad, you do not want to be last place. If in a scenario where you help create the competition and that results in you losing, that is never good for you and you never like it. No matter how much mentality you have going on about trying to be best, if you are not the best, you are going to be upset about it. Which is why there is absolutely no reason why people should believe that you want better competition. You want the competition to be better than themselves, but worse than you; you want them to force you and make it hard, but still end up losing. Think of a football game: you want to win by a goal at stoppage time in the 98th minute, not win by 5 or lose.
I never said that any person likes competition. I actually said the opposite. I only said that I like competition myself and I would artificially create a competition, so I'm motivate myself to be better than my old self and others. I don't want basketball and I don't know much about the relationship of Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan but Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are great examples from football. You know what? When you are the best and you don't have a competitor, you don't become a better because there is no point, you are the best, why should you force yourself further? There is no motive and drive for it. Honestly, the only person that I've seen forcing himself further without competition was bodybuilder Chris Bumstead. He was in the best shape and no one was closer to it and weren't able to be closer to him but every year he pushed himself further and further. And if I had to choose another person, that would be UFC fighter Ilia Topuria but he had a competition, every fighter is potentially your competitor.

Exactly, If someone stops you or discourages you from what is benefiting, he should be a greedy person, and he wishes you should always beg him for help. He doesn’t want you to get your freedom, and be enjoying what you’re doing, and get profit. But I don’t see any problem with telling someone to benefit from what you’re doing. If he has his own, no one will look for each other. Everyone will focus on their work and be happy. But trying to make them feel like what you’re doing is not good. You’re bringing jealousy, and that can make you lose the opportunity you get. Since you stopped them, they will always find a way to make you go down in anything you’re doing. We should always help each other when we have opportunities to assist.

I think it depends on how the person goes about it. There is nothing wrong with keeping something to yourself if you do not want competition but deliberately discouraging someone or making the opportunity looks ba just because you do not want people to benefit from it is where I have a problem.

I agree fear and greed sometimes make people to hide update or discourage others from joining but let us be realistic here. If bringing in people does not affect your income, then it's a total wickedness to discourage people. There are some opportunities that are limited and consequently affect your income if new people come in, it becomes saturated. I won't blame people in this case for trying to protect their source of income. Bitcoin investment or trading is a good example here. It makes no sense discouraging others because it doesn't affect in any way. In fact, the more people come in, the good for everyone involved because the whole market grow.

Lately I’ve been thinking about something I find interesting about competition. Why do some people become very supportive of an opportunity when they are the ones benefiting from it but suddenly become negative about it when other people discover the same opportunity?
For example someone discovers a business opportunity or another legitimate way to earn, they participate, benefit from it and continue doing it but when another person now ask about it or wants to join, the attitude suddenly change. I understand that competition can reduce someone’s individual advantage. If more people enter, opportunities can become competitive and the reward eventually reduces. So from a personal perspective keeping an opportunity to yourself can make sense is discouraging others really the same thing as protecting your own interest?
There is a difference between saying do your research before joining and deliberately making an opportunity sound useless simply because you do not want more proper competing with you. People sometimes want others to succeed but only up to the point where that success does not compete with their own.
So I’m curious, is this simply normal human competition or does it become unfairly holding others back?
The year 2020 saw me playing a whole lot of correct score games and I was fortunate to see some of them ending up with big profits for me but there's this particular pal who was someone pissed I was benefiting from the correct score games and predictions given to me by his friend who was more of a close person to me. I don't even know why all that but then, if this particular sports betting is the one paying me directly and not you or you giving me the money to bet, why are you mad I'm benefiting? It was funny and not funny. It displayed and exposed how much of an insecure person he is. I believe they're either low self-esteem and insecure fvckers.

In my opinion, the OP himself explained the motives of this behavior in his post. It's just a fear of competition. Nevertheless, I know another motive. For some people, it's better not to advise them or offer them opportunities. Because if something doesn't work out for such a person, then he will definitely blame you for it! Because you recommended it. However, he will also blame you for discouraging him... In general, I think the essence of what I mean is clear.
The world is large enough to accommodate everyone thriving at the same time. To me competition makes me be at my very best. For fear of blames what I do when I try to share opportunities with friends and colleagues is that I educate them on the risk, what it will cost them to be productive before mentioning the benefits. I try my best to emphasize on the risk and effort needed so that the will have a time to reflect on their decisions if it is something they will like to embark on or something they can decide to leg go of.

In my opinion, in economic and business matters, we all compete and I think that's normal. However, some people always share good business techniques and opportunities with their friends, while others don't. There are also those who share business techniques and opportunities with certain people because if they share them with others, the profits will be small. In my opinion, there's no need to worry about this because it's normal. Business and economics are serious matters If we lose the competition and don't make a profit, others will potentially not help us when we don't have money So, in my opinion, the best thing is to seek maximum profit. And of course, if you want to help, help someone who is kind to us. We must be more fortunate than them
Of course many people have experienced being prohibited by others from doing things that benefit us, but in this case, we must be ourselves and continue to improve our knowledge

One of the reasons why some people would refuse to bring in people into their own business is because of greediness, because they want to make the whole money in that business. But business doesn't work that way, any business that someone is doing today, somebody must have taught you or put you through about that very business, and is important that you also put through other people, and also encourage them on how to explore in that very business. Greed is very bad, and can make ones business have problems because there are other people who would not even want to do business with greedy people. In every business their is a very big difference between doing research, and doing something practical, those who make research about a business idea need to practice it before becoming perfect in it. The practice of keeping ones business idea to him or herself is nothing but a way of hindering people from making progress, and is very much unfair. For instance, even the ideas we get from research, is people that has those ideas to help people gain knowledge depending on your area of interest, so it is also fair for one to educate other people in their area of expertise in other not to keep their ideas stagnant.

If someone gets an opportunity and if sharing it does not harm him, then there is no harm in sharing it. Moreover, if someone benefits from sharing about an opportunity, then it will definitely be positive from a human perspective. It is not obligatory to share it or to come forward to benefit someone if you get an opportunity, but one should not lie even if you know the truth. There are some people who do not benefit others but rather mislead them with false information and this is a kind of deception. I think if someone works hard to create an opportunity and someone wants to know about it, then not telling them about it would definitely look like jealousy. So, if possible, if it doesn't harm you, it's better to tell others about it. If someone doesn't want to grow his competitors, then that is their own perspective.

So I’m curious, is this simply normal human competition or does it become unfairly holding others back?
When humans put forward lust, unhealthy reasoning, envy, arrogance, that's when humans develop a fear of losing the profits they have made so far, feel insecure about being rivaled and worry about going bankrupt and so on. To me I think the perfect reason for things like this is insecurity. They don’t want to share the idea for others to benefit because they are scared that person might later turn out better or more successful than them, neither do they want to be in competition with anyone, so they prefer them alone enjoying all the benefits. There are so many people who have envy spirit and so bitter when they see others succeed which is very bad. That position they are or opportunity they got, someone actually gave them that opportunity or introduced them to it, it shouldn’t be an issue giving back to others too.
