There are multiple reasons people go into business. They are categorized into two main reasons: selfless and selfish. The selfless reasons are by people who go into business for the good of others. Money isn't their top priority. They are more likely to consider the quality of what they sell without being compelled by the law, and will quickly make amend to protect their customers if they discover that what they sell aren't really good or healthy for them... the wellbeing of their customers is their top priority.
Not all business are in the line of health, most are about affordability. Some people are selfless and yet they sell substandard item, it may not directly affect their health. For example, there are people that buy wears and cloths and are not quality, it's not because they can't buy quality wears to resell, it's because people don't have the means to buy quality wear and if you stock your business with quality ones, you might be the one to wear all of them because there will be no demand.
Do you know that there are some businesses some people run, it's not because they like it but that's what's people want? Will you keep goods of $10 on your shop per item when they can get it from else where for cheaper price. Sometimes, you have to look at the kind of business you want to do before you think about if it's selfless of selfish.
To determine the selfless and selfish ones, inquire how often they promote their products/services to their love ones, or whether they use them personally. Do they promote or use them atall, if no, why not?
I believe people should be ready to consume what they sell, promote or give to others otherwise it's likely they dislike them because they are bad/harmful, money is just their top priority or they just don't care about others.
Would you consume or recommend what you promote or sell to others to your love ones
I know a fashion designer that doesn't wear what he sell and you know why? They are very expensive. He can do the same job for wealth men that want the material and can afford it but he doesn't wear them and yet he is best when it comes to packaging of business. So what do you call him? Too selfless or customers satisfaction??
