A lot of Ai discussion, are we that scared of an advanced system? Ai is evolving absolutely right but, will this replace human jobs hell no. The fields mentioned has to do with medical field, are we humans that careless to let artificial intelligence bot handle our health issue without human being in charge although I’m trying to process the whole article concerning Ai toothbrush specially design for oral care besides the invention is really nice.
Surgical process is a wrong move, experimental practice has already been proven but, since then I have not seen such again, if Ai bot is perfect for this job as most people think definitely this invention will be all over everywhere not minding the cost.

One should ask those who think AI can replace jobs, especially in the medical field, that would they be comfortable and okay with AI-powered robots doing a brain surgery on one of their loved ones? I'm pretty sure they would say they wouldn't, including me, because no matter how good a technology may become, it will still just be running on a programmed algorithm and it can make mistakes, more mistakes than a human expert can make while doing the same thing. This means that it can be too risky to let an AI take care of your medical needs, apart from handing you medicines as a pharmacist.

There are a lot of such things and jobs that an AI may take over if it's put in there, but if those jobs are delivering services that are sensitive and people won't want any mistake in them, most people would or could demand that it should be done by a human instead. So most probably, even in the future, there will always be a need for humans in specific fields where humans being present during a procedure is considered necessary.

AI is still far out of reach to replace human resources and that's just a simple fact. Even if they get to learn the job, when it comes to performing complex operations on humans, they may not know or see a difference or something else that the human eyes and instinct can and it may only make humans take up the more complex roles while AI takes up jobs of diagnostics instead.

Besides there's going to be huge economic lapses if AI takes over human jobs because how will humans earn to afford the service or products if they are without a paying job?
Also is the case of license to operate a business, who would get liable to be sanctioned, fined, held liable, face a lawsuit for wrong doings if AI is the one doing the jobs?
AI is just a program, although it can do amazing things that the human mind could never do, because it has a memory that is fast, reliable, and AI won't forget anything.

It has a huge mind. If humans could remember things like AI, which we call datasets etc., then humans could have done something amazing already, like they did with their limitations.

But AI could never learn the instinct, gut feeling, the ability to observe, learn, and inspect things from a creative way that AI might not see, because even a dentist has to do things their own way.

They can find something different there, can prescribe a remedy, quick treatment that could save the patient from huge bills etc.

But AI would never be trusted in the first place by anyone. Although, if the next generation of dentists, doctors, and engineers are so dependent on AI that they don't use their own mind anymore, then that may change things, because people would say.

It is better we go to AI instead of going to humans. AI might be cheaper as well, but I am saying all this because I have seen so many AI movies. But they will eventually catch up with these advancements in different fields.

There are some jobs that for some reasons people believed that artificial intelligence couldn't take although we have seen other people believe that Ai will take over everything, Elon musk has said one time that there would be Ai handling Ai needs, I may not have put it in his exact word but this was what he meant.

Jobs in the medical field was believed to be a no go area for artificial intelligence like the medical doctors (dentist included), nurses, radiographers, pharmacist and so on, but all that is changing as Ai is learning too fast.

This article on poly market https://x.com/Polymarket/status/2094848260150374768 claims that there is an artificial intelligence enabled toothbrush that is built to basically take care of individuals oral care. Based on the utilities of this toothbrush if it continues to advance could make the work of the dentist go extinct. There are also videos I have seen of artificial intelligence bots training on high pressure brain surgical procedures.
As a person, I believe there would still be very difficult jobs Ai might not easily be able to take over and talking about all these things don't you think it is still human that would access and grade these AI Jobs?
Which ever the case might be, there would always still be way where humans will still have to benefit from all these system and just thinking out randomly, it would still be possible where everyone would have a physical Ai prototype of themselves to help them do works especially running errands without bothering the next person

Regardless, I'm seeing a future with them. AI plus robotics, most especially AGI plus humanoid robots, would massively wipe out jobs. Others might argue, but who'll design, assemble, test, fix these robots? Well, it could be robots themselves. These embodied AI could perform countless of actual human tasks--more efficiently, accurately, objectively, without getting tired, bored, and so on and so forth.
Robots don't have feelings or emotions, and many jobs require this feature. Patients will always want to be attended to by human nurses. People will always prefer to interact with humans and not robots.

While I agree, there might come a time in the not-so-distant future when people would be more comfortable dealing with robots, when talking or sharing your personal experiences and sentiments with them won't anymore feel awkward, wanting, or pointless. By this time, I presume humanoid robots would look or even talk like humans already, would even comfort you with words and gestures, and humans might even find humane connection with them.

Believe it or not, I personally know of somebody who shares her loneliness, problems, and life in general with ChatGPT and it somehow relieves her that there's someone something that listens, talks, and is there for her.

But other than this, I guess some would prefer a robot because it's accurate, exact, or at least less prone to mistake, comes right away, doesn't show attitude or tiredness, and so on.

Artificial intelligent, can't be program to do a medical related jobs, because it's jobs of human life, and they're a lot of concentrations in medical fields, which ai can't perform better because of loss of human life....An artificial intelligent, can be use as tools for detection of illness, but it can be allow to perform a medical surgery......
This is not true and I have already written about it. We have had confirmed cases of machine learning doing better diagnosis than most doctors that are specialized in the field a long time ago, so to claim that AI can't perform better is just baseless. Please look up recent information about this kind of thing. It is not that different with surgeons, many are average and only the few are top in what they are doing. We already have robot assisted surgery and with some time there will be machines and AI that is performing surgeries better than most or even all the surgeons of a field. It is not a question of if it can be done or not, who believes that does not understand the technologies that are being used here. It is only a question of when..

As a person, I believe there would still be very difficult jobs Ai might not easily be able to take over and talking about all these things don't you think it is still human that would access and grade these AI Jobs?
Many users keep making this kind of claim but nobody has provided any evidence to support why this is the case, like a research paper that confirms that AI is not able to do the kind of jobs that they say it can't. We can agree with your claim that for some kind of jobs it will not be able to take over easily, that makes sense and agrees with what we have seen in how AI or related technologies are rolling out. Some kind of jobs were very easy to replace, and with others the process is more gradual.

Which ever the case might be, there would always still be way where humans will still have to benefit from all these system and just thinking out randomly, it would still be possible where everyone would have a physical Ai prototype of themselves to help them do works especially running errands without bothering the next person
Humans may benefit, but we will need to have a good system change to avoid huge inequality and concentration of the benefits in the hands of the very few. The world is going in quite difficult times of big change.

The consequences of replacing humans with robots and AI will affect the very structure of society. And most likely, not for the better. Just look: starting from the Middle Ages, every person could plan their future, knew where and by what profession they would work, and understood what they needed to strive for. Crafts were passed down through inheritance within guilds. The son of a carriage maker became a carriage maker, and then his son. The son of a peasant became a peasant. The younger sons of a baron became knights and went off to fight. The society consisted of people who were confident in their future and had a goal.

Even under capitalism, there were working‑class dynasties of miners, metallurgists, and so on. Or a bartender would leave his bar to his son or daughter, and they would become bartenders. That is why trade unions were able to emerge. Then, starting around the 1970s-1980s, this structure began to gradually collapse. The workforce, the proletariat, started to transform into the precariat. That is, people who do not have a permanent job, who cannot plan their future, who have no goals. Trade unions have lost their influence. Why did this happen?

Because production was moved to third‑world countries (with minuscule wage levels), the mechanization of labor (technological progress) was constantly increasing. Now, this has been supplemented by AI‑driven robotization of production and even other sectors (services, medicine, trade, etc.).

Robotization leads to a reduction in the share of human labor in the cost of the produced goods. According to the labor theory of value, it is labor that determines value, which means this will lead to a constant decline in prices. But this will not result in universal abundance, when goods cost 0, but rather in a shortage. Since production will be halted. For why produce goods for people who have no money and will never have any (and no credit either, since there is no income) to buy the goods?

As a result, by the middle of this century, we will find ourselves in a society where there is a shortage of everything, almost no one works (because there is no work), and people live on state benefits. No one plans their life for longer than a single day. The population will halve due to aging, low birth rates, and simply dying out. Giant megacities will become depopulated. In other words, people will become unnecessary. But robots are meaningless in a world without people. In a world without people, everything is meaningless - even wealth.

Already artificial intelligence is reducing the rate of employment, especially works that human beings can do, most of the civilised industries are using more of artificial intelligent to perform so many of jobs...so based on what I'm seeing, in future AI will dominant, and they will be less humans jobs across industries...
Every company in the world today is moving towards AI. Companies want cheaper, automated, and reliable workforce and if AI can increase the efficiency of their companies, they will let go of as many employees as possible. As an employee in this day and age, you need to learn how to use AI to increase your leverage at work. AI is still a new technology, and companies don’t fully understand it yet. This creates a gap for people with a particular skill set to be able to work.

You need to do your research on the topic. What do you mean artificial intelligence cannot be allowed to perform medical surgery. Is that coming from a medical professional or someone . FYI robotic surgery already exists, even in your country. And the argument that AI can’t perform surgeries because human life is involved is weak because AI is less likely to make human errors.

AI can't eliminate people's job but they can reduce the amount of professionals we have in the work force. It's like AI removing jobs and creating new once. There will be always be job available. So the main thing is that we should all be ready to upgrade our skills so we stay relevant in the job market. Even if AI is implemented in jobs it will still need humans to do some certain tasks. AI can't replace humans totally. But I feel that day might come. But we are not even close to that day yet. So don't panick.

There are also videos I have seen of artificial intelligence bots training on high pressure brain surgical procedures.
I would never trust AI with my health. I will only consult real people who know real knowledge, but I will also use AI for research purposes.
Actually, there are medical robots that medical personnel also rely on. In more sophisticated medical settings, the use of robots is paramount for precision and speed. Although, these robots don't operate completely independently—even our chat bots need prompts—but they assist a lot in the medical field.

Op, the toothbrush you're talking about can't realistically replace dentist. Dentistry involves more than proper maintenance of your teeth. You can say "they'll maintain your tooth so well that you won't be needing a dentist anytime soon", but you can't say this:
Quote
Based on the utilities of this toothbrush if it continues to advance could make the work of the dentist go extinct
That's not even possible. Dental problems are sometimes caused by hereditary, trauma and accidents, sickness, old age etc. Sometimes, you just might want to fix a gold or diamond teeth. The work of a dentist won't go extinct because you have an advanced toothbrush that can take good care of your teeth (can we even call such a thing AI? Whatever).

Artificial intelligence is indeed learning really fast, but all the same, human intelligence is also needed at some point in order for ai models to be able to function at its optimum functionality. I’ve come to understand that as strong as AI potentially is, it’s only that strong in the hands of someone that knows just how to manipulate and use it. Not everyone really knows how to use AI you know, the tool may be available to everyone, but there are those who can actually harness its true capabilities and potential and that’s why AI cannot completely replace or take away people’s jobs, at least not in every areas.

Let's say AI will definitely take these medical jobs in the next possible years, but I don't think they're reliable enough especially that this is not just a simple job, but this is more between life and death especially for doctors and nurses. However, I really believe that they can be of great use as tools in the medical field, but they will never replace such doctors, nurses, dentists and pharmacies. Otherwise, if they make errors and cause threat and danger to the people's health, I don't think they'll be liable enough, even their inventors themselves.

You know that, there are some advanced machines that doctors normally use to run some diagnoses before they can be able to describe what is wrong with the patient and also prescribe some drugs for the person and the person will have to take the note 📝 to the pharmacy to get those drugs, right?  Now imagine that these AIs has now been modified and upgraded and they can run diagnoses on their own and discuss the patients conditions with the person and also be able to prescribed some drugs for the person, that alone will make some doctors lose job, right?  If the AI can do some lab analysis on it's own, then the job of some lab scientists can be affected but the thing is, not all hospital around the world can afford those AI.

Sadly it can eliminate specific jobs and also reduce the manpower. And by that means that the human labor that's keeping a family alive will be replaced by these AI platforms that have been made specifically for repetitive tasks. It's both reducing and removing people's job if they can be easily done. But I agree with you that if it has been removing jobs, there are also new opportunities that it creates. And that's why we have to adjust for that change because if we don't, we don't like to see people getting replaced by AI because it might happen to us.

This field is a no area for AI because this has to do with the human life, let what has life be incharge to the living. Medcine is a field of maximum concern.
This is not a job for AI, it is possible their are some job in the medical field that AI can fit in very well but to diagnose or to perform surgery this is strictly the job of humans. Programming of AI can fail but someone who have acquired the knowledge and understanding in medicine, these knowledge and experiences will always be their. In area of radiography,  medication technology these are areas that AI can fit into them very well.

Look, it is very surprising that if toothbrushing is possible now through AI, then of course in the distant future if more updated and trained AI comes, then it is possible to do other doctors' treatment, especially surgery and other complex surgeries, by AI.
However, if the operation is done by getting trained by AI, then of course AI will take the place of doctors. But that may be very expensive, so AI may not take the place of doctors, but AI will help the doctor to do his work more efficiently.

On the contrary, people's opinions can change as soon as they are packaged properly; they just need to be convinced that AI is doing better than human doctors, and their preference changes. A simple way to change people's opinion will be if a statistics is circulated showing the success rate and accuracy of AI as doctors, and then the media further highlights the errors that doctors have been making over the years.

An example of how opinions can easily change is how we used to speak against getting into the cars of strangers, and now we book strangers as rides to our home address to come pick us up and take us to our destination (Uber), and it is no big deal anymore because it has been well packaged and we have been conditioned to see it as normal.

If people can trust self-driving cars on the highway, they will trust AI doctors.

I don't think you understand the purpose of Artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence is meant to significantly reduce human labour, to put it in a more clear term, artificial intelligence is meant to replace man power and not to assist man power, it is believed that humans may have some flaws especially emotionally and artificial intelligence is meant to significantly carry out a duty to perfection or closer to perfection that the human workforce.
Yes it will be expensive but artificial intelligence is meant to take the work not to be an assistant.

Human health and the body: we don't have to give them up for AI to take care of them. I have seen some recent videos of AI malfunctions, acting weird. What if, in a case like that, AI malfunctions, will an individual's life be safe? That's a question to ask.

Professional courses: we have seen how difficult it is for us humans to acquire a degree in it, to even be allowed to operate on human bodies, not to talk of what can malfunction and run out of mechanics at any time. Is it something we could trust to run on a human body and brain? That's not happening, no matter how improved AI could be in the future.
