Why can't online casinos allows their customers to pass KYC verification before they start gambling? It looks like a perfect excuse for them to restrict you from withdrawal.
I would say that it's their strategy. They want you to get on-board as fast as they can. So they won't offer you this KYC or even presented themselves as a no-KYC casino in the first place. Sort of giving you a "feel good" kind of effect. So you play and have some fun on them. Maybe losing some few bucks in the beginning. And then you fee confident, until one day you are being asked for a KYC and then you can't submit or don't want to, then your winning is forfeited. So they are tricking you in the beginning and could be setting a trap in the end.

Base on my experience is most of the casino just seek a KYC verification if they seen a problem with the specific users such as abuse the promos, using multiple account, using a multiple address, and other details that gives them suspcious with the activity, but of course we dont wanted to have a casino at the first place requires a KYC thats why we are into the crypto space we dont want to show our details and wanted to play peacefully. So basically, you're referring to the fact that they made KYC for their casino so you won't get problems when it comes to withdrawals? Could be good to those people who wanted to submit and get verified as long as they didn't interrupt their transactions but for me id rather to play to a not mandatory kyc casino.

Not all like that, indeed for some sites they do not require KYC as a form of regulation to give flexibility to their players to feel more privacy but for others the fact is that there are still many sites including large sites that are on this forum make KYC at the beginning even to a certain level so what you say is not entirely wrong but it is also not entirely true. For now even though there are many regulations against KYC but it cant be denied that KYC is still an option for gamblers. If they don't want to do KYC just because they don't want to provide privacy information to themselves then they only need to look for non-KYC sites but when from the beginning they don't have a problem with KYC sites then there are many choices of sites including large sites on bitcointalk even up to the final level (usually level 1-3) they can do it even before making the first deposit.

Casinos are getting away with people not been able to pass their KYC information after they won some money. It's like some of them are intentionally using this against gamblers.
You won't know how friendly your favourite online casino is until you won some good amount of money. Someone I knew had the same experience recently and it got me wondering why.. I have a very unforgettable experience that I will always reference whenever there’s a topic of discussion like this. I signed up on this particular casino without any KYC, in my first win , the withdrawal was smooth. Then came the withdrawal in the seconds win and KYC was requested before it was approved. It took me two to three days to get it sorted out. I would later read in their TOS that while KYC is not required for registration, it can be requested at random. Since then I always read any casinos TOS thoroughly before sign up . Why can't online casinos allows their customers to pass KYC verification before they start gambling? It looks like a perfect excuse for them to restrict you from withdrawal.
The answer is simple, it is not a good strategy to get people’s to sign up and at least make their first deposit.

They do. If I remember correctly, there are casinos who doesn't recquire KYC upon registration, but allows their gamblers to verify their KYC on their own accord whenever they want. That being said, I've also seen a complaint once on scam acucsation where the OP of the thread claims that the casino won't allow him to verify their KYC even though they are doing it voluntarily, I tried looking for the thread, but I can't find it. It looks like a perfect excuse for them to restrict you from withdrawal.
Maybe, but this usually wouldn't be an issue if you have the proper documents.

Why can't online casinos allows their customers to pass KYC verification before they start gambling?
Actually, main problem here is that if they ask for tough KYC during registration then I think 80% players will get bored and move to another site. So they knowingly let them deposit, because no one wants to lose customer. And they know very well that most players will lose this money in casino, so they skip KYC at beginning just to reduce hassle for both parties. And do you think they take 2 days with verification team? No! This is pre-planned game of most casino. When you withdraw $10000, they will hang you for 1 week in the name of verification. If you provide documents, they will say photo is not clear, if you send it again, they will say address on electricity bill does not match. In this 1 week, they will test your patience. They know that 90% of gambler, seeing such large balance in their account, will not be able to handle their temptation and will cancel that withdrawal, and then bet again and lose all their money! lol For this reason, it is necessary to choose good casino from the very beginning.

It's not the casino's fault and they are not to be blamed, why did you not finish the verification procedure before stopping, all terms and conditions are there for you to meet up .
The casino's are only doing their job, so if you have not completed your details, then be rest assured that you will get nothing when you win, they are not to be blame but any customer that refuse to do the right thing..

This is also a familiar with just saying that, the casino has no issue with KYC as long as you are losing but the moment you win something reasonable, they suddenly become interested in KYC and even become very strict with these KYC which if looked at logically, it isn't right but there's nothing we can do since in most cases, gamblers are made to sign and agree with the terms and conditions because it seems almost impossible not to agree with them. For fairness, I would have to also be on the opinion that, if a casino must verify KYC, then it should be done before deposit or during deposit because with this, one will be very sure that, as long as they have been able to deposit money and play a game, then they should be able to withdraw their money and winnings without any problems or stress as this will even increase the casinos reputation an it shouldn't be a big deal to implement except the casinos aren't telling us the gospel truth.

If you're looking for a casino without KYC, they won't ask for verification initially, but according to most terms of service, they may eventually ask for it. If you create an account at a casino that doesn't market itself as non-KYC, you can choose to verify your identity right away, but it's usually not requested during account creation. I've never had problems verifying my identity when needed. But what causes someone to not be approved in the process? Incorrect information, lack of documentation, lack of proof of address? Because that's what they all ask for, and if you don't have it, I'm sorry, but it's not the casino's fault.

I see a lot of people have strong opinions on this subject. I too think that casinos should either do KYC up front, or not do it at all. Sometimes their rules change, but mostly they just don't mind if people lose small money here and there without making them KYC. Once big bucks are involved and things like taxes become an issue, they want to make sure that you're obeying all the rules. In the end the player is the one in the wrong, but the casinos tend to turn a blind eye to get more users.

Casinos still have leeway there are no strict rules against centralized casinos about the obligation before depositing must be KYC first, this is not like exchanges, it could be because the license they use is still friendly to KYC let alone offshore casinos.
Now the players have to realize when they win a large amount then be prepared with the possibility, the casino will ask for your documents for purposes including winnings.
Like almost all casinos apply the same, even the casinos on the forums do.

In fact, many casinos allow KYC verification before winning, and some even require it. It's just that casinos that position themselves as friendly or non-KYC simply require verification at the end of the game, that is, after winning. And for many players, this comes as an unpleasant surprise. The decision to undergo verification is often based on the amount of private information they must disclose to the casino. If this amount is reasonable and the winnings are large, then almost no one has any questions.

And what guarantees that they are not going to ask for extra verification after a gambler wins some money even if they have already passed initial KYC verification? I mean, if a casino has evil intentions, they can always find an excuse and achieve what they want to achieve. It could be KYC sometimes, or maybe a rule that they believe you've broken, like creating multiple accounts or even using multiple IP addresses, sometimes even using VPN to access their platform could become a reason for them to block your account and confiscate your funds.
Basically, you can't fight against the casino for all these reasons, and no one would drag them to court unless there is a very large amount involved and the gambler can't just let it go. This is why, casinos that do this deliberately so that they don't need to pay the gambler will mostly just get away with it, and as I mentioned, completing your KYC before even making a deposit won't solve this problem, one should simply change the platform they are using and that is the only solution to this problem.

Obviously that is the way it is and to prove to us that they're more steps ahead of us. Perhaps, you were right when you said that nobody cares when you are losing but once there's Joy they suddenly pop up from nowhere with an obstacle that may probably prevent you from cashing out your wins. Although it seems funny but seriously speaking it can be annoying because this are mostly aimed in frustrating players from withdrawing their fund's.
Although many casinos normally make it mandatory for players to finalizing KYC before depositing but I think few of them also allow deposit even without proper KYCing. But then, we weren't expecting them to spell everything out. Smart gambler should catch up better and supposed to ensure he finishes everything before proceeding so as to avoid certain obstacles like this.

It depends on the casino, with some casinos, I’ve actually been offered the option to complete verification immediately during registration. I assume that if you win a large amount, you’ll have to go through verification anyway. So if you already know that you’re going to play with a large deposit, it might make sense to complete it upfront. But I think it’s better to play and try to withdraw, and if they ask you to complete verification, then do it.

I absolutly agree that completing KYC in advance doesn’t give a gambler a 100% guarantee that there won’t be any problems when making a large withdrawal. A casino maybe can still ask for additional verification, proof of source of funds, or carry out another review of the account. And if a casino never intended to honestly pay out a large win in the first place, it can probably find some other excuse to delay the withdrawal. But if completely new requirements suddenly appear after a big win, it becomes much easier for the gambler to show that the problem only appeared when they tried to withdraw the money and wasn’t there from the beginning. Of course, a dishonest casino can simply claim that the gambler broke some other rule - using a VPN, having multiple accounts, making suspicious transactions, or something else.

It might make sense to complete KYC upfront if player is sure he is going to win. But since nobody know that, what is the point of passing KYC after registration? All I hear here bla-bla-bla when I withdraw. Try to win first to have what to withdraw Situation is not when you try to solve problems before they even happen. I think better win and face request to do KYC, then do everything in advance. Your money can wait in casino, nothing will happen to them if casino is reputed and you play fair.

Identity checks on first time registration is also a red flag where casino operators take long before they can withdraw the money they are meant to give. One of the factors that prove that a user did not have any malice prior to making any significant transactions is the indicated adherence to all regulations on his account. The last minute claims of the violation of the rules are also the unilateral ones and it is a last minute delay tactic. Players possessing full chronicle of digital tracks have a good foundation to unearth inner regulatory control schemes that are always shaped to disqualify genuine victories.

Like someone also mentioned, it's not every online casino that won't allow you to do KYC before you start gambling, for example you have to do your KYC first on Stake before you can deposit and play. So does some casino also make their KYC options available, it's left for the player to pass it first before depositing or wait until it is being required of them after they must have won some money.
When complaints like this comes up, I always expect you guys to at least mention the name of the casino so that others can be aware of the casino you are talking about in case the person wants to use the casino. I have used some casinos that didn't ask for KYC but the option is there for me to either do the KYC at that time or do it later.

The casino is not to be blamed for the player's misfortune. In most cases where a user accuses a casino of defrauding them, the problem ends when we find out that the user failed to read the casino's terms of service. In the terms of service, a casino chooses not to require KYC until a user is found guilty of violating the casino's policy. It has always been the case, except for some rare cases where the casino didn't add them to the TOS. Players have to do justice to the casino's TOS to avoid getting misfortune.
