I am not a VIP either but I have been gambling for more than a decade now and have been in contact with some VIPs. The hosts assigned to VIPs are mainly there to help them throughout the site that is whether its a deposit/withdrawal issue, a betting issue or any other issue related to the casino.

Do you really think VIPs chase the bonuses and rakebacks they get from VIP perks? They are rich enough that, for them these are nothing more than pennies. Casinos generally assign VIP status and hosts so that the gambler has a good experience at the casino. If a high roller is having a good experience then its obvious that they are more likely to stay and gamble with more money.

The same thing happens with VIP casino trips. The casino is basically showing that they care about their VIPs by sponsoring these trips. But I think most VIPs are already wealthy enough that they hardly need these kinds of sponsored trips. Along with this, these are small gestures of appreciation from casinos to make sure their high rollers dont leave and continue gambling with them.
I also believe that a gambler who has the capability to reach the level of VIP that would warrant the casino that they're gambling on to organize an all expens paid trip for them would be more than capable to give themselves such a luxury, so it wouldn't be such a big deal to them as it would be for a regular gambler who is offered such an expensive trip. As far as these benefits doesn't apply to every gamblers in such casinos then we should see it as giving something back to the big spenders who obviously loses far more than the benefits so it's surely a marketing strategy to keep the top echelons of VIP gamblers relaxed to gamble and lose more money. Whatever it takes to make big spenders happy in your casino is good for business as far as you're getting it back from their loses.

It's strange that this surprises you, OP. The term "VIP" alone says a lot. Do you really want to equate a regular player who visits the casino from time to time with someone who spends millions at the casino? It's obvious, after all. "He who pays the piper calls the tune" , that saying wasn't coined for nothing. VIP players have already spent enough money for the casino to offer them various perks, and yes, the casino will do just that. Naturally, the casino wants to retain the customer and keep their attention focused on the casino, so there will always be a difference. Do you want to be like that? Spend a lot, a whole lot.

My God, the world has been operating by these rules for a long time. What could possibly be unsatisfying about that🤷‍♀️?
Although these VIP perks or benefits in various casinos shouldn't be what should come as a surprise for players because the term VIP means very important personality though it could also mean different things to some people.

I get where you are coming from, and it is true that VIP players often enjoy more perks which is how it is meant to be because this players has bring in lots of millions to the casino, but still it does not mean that time to time players should be treated undervalued.

It's normal for a casino to shower there VIP players with rewards to retain the customers and they should still have other little benefits to there time to time customers who plays in their casino. I believe that some VIP players today was once a time to time player, the rewards might differ, top VIP players with higher perks while time to time players can also get some little bounces just to carry all players along.

1. If the casinos are not going to benefit from such trip sponsorship, do you think they will even finance it? And for members on this forum that has experienced it, did you benefit or the casinos benefited more from you?
Why would a casino sponsor a trip for someone from their own money? That isn't how these businesses run or work, so how it's done is basically they use a specific percentage of whatever money they've earned from you to make any arrangements they can, which means that such options and services are only given to those who wager a lot of money with them, not every VIP gets the same services.

2. Do you think personalized casino service is ethical meanwhile it's likely to encourage the player to gamble more?
I don't think it's unethical, it's just a better service for better customers, and it's not like they will force you to gamble.

3. Do you agree that VIP programs ( which includes the special account manager) exploit high roller customers or not?
I don't think so, but even if they try, that's what they are supposed to do because a casino is just like any other business, so they will do whatever they can to keep gamblers attracted to their services so that they can make more money.

4. Do you think casinos should be stopped from using those special account manager to target big players (likely the VIPs)?
No, why? As I said above, these agents or even the casinos can't force anyone to gamble, they may give them bonuses and stuff to keep them engaged and this is also done so that they don't change their casino and move somewhere else, because that will be a big loss for them.

5. Should personal account managers for VIP gamblers be regulated?
Well, maybe or maybe not. I guess only those who are getting these services can vote or have a say in this.

So the twist there is that VIP offers could be a trap for bettors while the house edge will always be the most beneficiary in the gambling industry.

I agree with your point that chasing VIP status can become trap.
However I wouldn't label it trap solely because of house edge.

For we gamblers, actual issue is reward chasing. While playing when you start thinking that just by wagering another $X, I will unlock next VIP level or bonus or trip then you often end up betting outside your original plan without even realizing it. In doing so, your expected loss from that extra gambling far outweigh the value of benefit you receive.

That is why, whenever I see any VIP offer, I don't just look at size of reward.
I look at the wagering requirement needed to unlock that reward.

There is no point in blaming casino, they are here to provide entertainment in exchange for money, and they are doing that very effectively. But you player should calculate the offer instead of emotionally chasing status.
