But if you look at it this way, even as it is live, it does not mean you need to interact. For example you are watching match live, do you interact with this commentators? Obviously no. So if you look at it like that, I see no reason why you would question them on this matter. Live just shows how the game is. Everybody can see the same game together. If the chats is even opened, there are some people who will misuse that opportunity. They will start dropping their spam messages and the rest.
You make a really good point there it's really a fair comparison that you are a watching a match live stream doesn't mean you need to engage communication with the commentators you are just there to watch the game and see in the action as it unfolds. I have also see how opening up a chat could lead to issues of getting it misuse, as some people might use it to drop some unnecessary spam or some off-topic messages, so i absolutely don't believe that not having a conversation or chat takes away from the live experience at all.

The ones that I play I can always see and run the chat. Many times the live dealers will make sure to read out the messages aloud while the game continues. OP might have been banned from the chat because I have not seen any where I cant.

If there is a chatbox, it will be used as a trollbox, the purpose of which is to troll everybody there. Grin

Maybe ask the customer support system there about the absent chat and clarify?

I've recently started browsing live casino games, the ones with a live dealer, and I've observed something interesting... Some of them keep their chat permanently closed. Even if you gamble there, you can't comment. Not after gambling any amount, never. The host just keeps talking, they may see your name and your bets and your wins and try to interact, but you can't respond back at all.

What's the point of having the game live then? I'll never understand why a casino would do this.

This shouldn't be a surprising thing because it is exactly the same pattern as anyone who has the intention of milking you dry silently will use. Almost like the standard routine of political campaign settings where their campaign website is always there to talk at you but never care to listen to your actual complaints. The casino just wants you to sit there like a dummy and look at the live dealer, then make you assume that everything is transparent and fun. They want the atmosphere to look premium but are very afraid to let players interact with each other, they are aware that a single review about any form of technical glitch can tank their business.

I think the real reason why chat is closed is large number of players. Dealer has no time to talk with everyone and people would turn chat into place to spam. Possible reason also can be that players have asked to close chat because other players might distract them from playing. To bad I dont know in which game OP saw that chat was closed, but in some games if players communicate and play against casino, that might give them advantage.

It’s ironic to see a live game provider that doesn’t allowed chat since that’s the only way to interact and create a vibes to play against real human dealer.

Normally, Chat should be open once you manage to take a sit and place bet since it means you have the bankroll and reason to chat with dealer.

Maybe you should report this to the customer support of the live game provider since they have their own live chat on their main menu/lobby.

I've seen the same thing. Two hosts talk nonstop while waiting for the end of the given time for the bets to be placed. Once they are done, players can't chat, but they can use flowers and other emoticons. But the problem is that they aren't free. You pay for those flowers, and the only reason one might do that is so that their name will be plastered in the chatbox.

I think they do this to avoid bad words and comments in the chatbox. They can flood all they want using those emoticons, but they can never use alphanumeric characters.

The decision of the casino to close the chats could actually be a deliberate move to make sure that they reduce moderation problems, control the experience and most importantly, to prevent players from actually influencing the emotions of other players.
At least that’s how I see it.
I believe so too. Again it's also a way of preventing players from making some unpleasant comments or noise that may possible cause unnecessary chaos when in lost  and all that. Players some time's can be so unbelievable especially when the game isn't going in their favour.

Furthermore, another thing I think should be the reason for this act is to avoid some unnecessary conversation and complains that doesn't tally with the main business, or probably a way of reducing distractions.

A casino impose such policy for orderliness,if they don’t disable the players chat most crazy players might create a mess and making the site congested and chaotic.Let’s just take a good look at this scenario,we do watch live sports of our favorites in our television right?yes ofcourse,so while watching at home in your television do you share your own opinion in a chat with the commentators?absolutely no.So likewise a casino that chose to display a live game and not necessarily creating room for viewers to chat and make the casino interface miserable. So in my own perspective,I think it’s ideal for casinos to permanently disable live chat from customers during live games.

My guess is that maybe the dealer is trying to prevent anyone from getting distracted and disorganized because since it's a live game everyone would want to say something in the comments while the live game is going and also in situations like this spammers are always ready to do their thing and it wouldn't make sense and I also feel that any live casino game that it's chat is closed is probably trying to avoid players from seeing bad reviews or bad complaints from other players that have experienced their awful business deals.

It could be the result of anything; most likely, it may be based on unpleasant situations whereby other activities outside the context of what the live chat is meant for are being discussed. There are guidelines for the use of every platform and the privileges everyone has as a gambler, because they need to discuss their experience at that casino while being on the chat and not do other things that could mislead or change the intended purpose of creating a live chat.

Perhaps OP didn't think much about how casino works, if you are not having a problem with your bets or profile issues that have to do with your deposits and withdrawal, I don't think casino would want to have any business communicating with you which to me it's normal. Why not just focus on what brought you there, do your things, make your money and go your way and if it's entertaining you, continue the way you are instructed.

If you are finding it boring and want to have conversation with a real person, why not try a physical casino where you are going to talk and see different characters in the casino. Sometimes, the casino might even be giving you customers privacy protection but you wouldn't know. Why should you have chat because you are gambling, they might even be doing that because they want you to know they are active and live with them and not the other way round.

you don’t need the chats from the casino’s perspective to make the game feel alive. Don’t you also think that if that is allowed, when emotions sets in during gambling, gamblers can misuse that chat feature to insult, spam and accuse the casinos.

I share the same opinion as yours, personally, it doesn't matter whether the chat is allowed or permanently disabled because that not what will even make the game feel more like a live game to me. The last time I played an experimental poker live game, the chat was open and since it was a game that I don't know how to play, I kept giving other players the opportunity to win me and they were all mocking me on the chat, I was trying to maintain a conversation with one of them but the message of other players keeps interfering and it becomes difficult to even maintain that conversation with the person, so I just left the chat and focused on the game. There can be confusion at times when one keeps paying attention to the chat but that might not be the same with everyone, so I completely understand that op is the type of playing that likes the chat left open.

Well I think the betting platform isn’t a place to chart and if a betting site decides to let the chart section open, then it’s their opinion and if they fails to do you can’t hold them responsible. Because there are proper ways to complain if you have any. You can go through costumer care services. Another reason why they chart section might be close is due to spamming , I’ve been in a sport platform chart section and it’s was not even a good experience people are just there lamenting and saying things that are not true, some even try to scam others there.

The only thing which comes to my mind is the fact people can be very rude and uneducated when comes to chatting with strangers on the internet, there are gamblers who simply don't understand the etiquette of live casinos, so they start to insult, call the dealer names and even beg to get their money bag after and big loss.

If that kind of behavior was recurrent on that live casino, then I could see why they decided to risk keeping the chat closed and rest value to their casino by doing so. It is basically not to make their dealers to feel uncomfortable.

unfortunately i think it is due to many factors, first of all the screen protects you and therefore you are not ashamed, you don't see the person in person and perhaps in person you would be ashamed
second, today's new young people (I'm old) are very rude and disrespectful so this creates the lethal mix.

That is the normal thing that is supposed to initiate a conversation between a casino representative and the player and not for any other irrelevant reasons. Moreover, I don't think complains is even surposed to be done via live chat, such complains from customers is normally done on the casino calls centres or customer support not on live chats.

Another reason why they chart section might be close is due to spamming , I’ve been in a sport platform chart section and it’s was not even a good experience people are just there lamenting and saying things that are not true, some even try to scam others there.

Spamming is actually one of the reasons why they close it, if they should leave it open, you will see all manner of nonsense, some people will be talking about things that are not relevant or important.

I will not blame them for doing such, there are some people who will even come there to say things that will bring the casino down, things that are not true, there are some cases that some casinos complain that another casino is fighting them by sending people to rate them badly.

I believe if you want to get the attention of a casino for an issue that you are having in the casino you know how to go about it.

What I have noticed that when chat option is active, dealers often lose focus while answering players question and chatting with them. As a result there are sometime delays in dealing card or spinning the wheel. If that chat option is disabled then dealer can focus solely on conducting the game quickly. And naturally the more rounds played per hour the higher casino's profit.

So it is casino's core team that mandates disabling that chat option, dealer is not at responsible here.
I think this is more understandable than Mr_Brilliant$ comment. And also I will look at it from another dimension, if that will distract the dealers or the representative at the moment in the live chat, there should be permanent representative who will only discussing with people who ask questions and others and for doing that, the dealer will focus on the games and control things at the games.

Because automatically disabling the live chat and nobody can ask questions does not make sense in the live chat. Through those discussions people will learn new things to support their gambling in the casino. They shall hire people to do the work for them instead of over labouring themselves.

There are many players who chat while gambling, and there are also many players who, after losing a few times in gambling, repeatedly complain about their problems and get busy chatting. Maybe the casino platform is very busy at that time, which is why they do not look favorably on the conversations of different customers or find it annoying. However, it is definitely better to keep the live chat open while playing live games. If it can be kept open, then maybe customers will not be able to raise questions about these things. I have always gambled by betting on sports. I do not participate in live games and I do not consider the conversation to be very important when participating in live games.

Yes, indeed, the chat function conflicts with disabling it. There could be many reasons for such actions on the casino's part, but in my opinion, the main thing here is to limit excessive emotional outbursts from gamblers. This actually happens quite often, especially when the casino makes technical errors that irritate users, leading them to insult the casino or make unflattering comments about other players or casino employees. Unfortunately, not all users know how to behave decently.

What if the chatbox is full of bots acting like there is an ongoing chat which everybody can see including guests who are not logging in. The casino just disable chat for real users including active players. But the casino keep doing this because nobody will ask about it or simply can be question ignored.

From another side, I don't know who will need that chatbox for a real discussion with other players. The player should be focusing in play. I am not certain why to implement such a feature at first place. Getting busy chatting is not what the casino want you, as gamblers, to do. Everything in the casino should be designed to encourage players gambling.

Perhaps you don't understand the type of live op is talking about, it's just like when you're streaming a match maybe in any of these betting sites. There's always a live chat, you will see different gamblers making comments especially those that bet on the game, and sure I used to join the live chat most of the time but I don't always find it interesting because they say a lot of meaningless things there. Some folks even try to scam people through that live chat, thereby dropping links that you may not even know where it came from. but I believe there are people who find it interesting.
You just provided a good reason why some live casino keeps the chats closed, you think they don't read what people write there, we may not know all that could lead them into taking such decisions, it might be to keep everyone safe, or other things too, casinos might not be trusted, but there are things they do to keep things clean, so that people don't go about others, let's not forget that there people that join those chats on a daily bases, it might be there first time, and we know how happy scammers are when the notice that someone is a novice, I'm not justifying anything, however, casinos may have genuine reason for taking such position.
