They all are using inverters and generators that power their house 24/7and that is why he have the strength to come out and say anything that that he like  Even when they are sick they have private doctors from abroad that do their bidding, so they would not understand how we feel.

Funny thing is that some bunch of dumb fellows are already campaigning for a re-election when there was no head and tail in this their last administration. It is now as if the country keeps getting bad after each and every regime. For capping that thing, that minister of power deserves to be punished for it because he is playing on our intelligence. What the heck does he even take us for huh? Is it a child or what.

We are always the cause, as you said. It would be better if we started letting them know that the basic things are our right, not them doing us a favor. These past few months, the electricity has been a little bit more stable. That is not a good reason for us to praise the government. On a normal basis, this is how the country is supposed to be. I am beginning to understand that the government sees the masses as their slave. The day they give us chicken instead of bread, we should be worshipping them. Well, I blame the press because I wonder what questions they ask these mf in interviews.
Actually they are making it to look as if they are doing us a favour to provide good need for the country and why it not so, if not for the citizens some of them will not be in that position they are today, so those in power to lower their standards and they should stop expecting praise for every little thing they think they have done for the country because is their responsibility and the basic amenities are not gift or favours they are part of what the citizens deserve from them not the other way round.

Yes! i said what i said cause what sort of a joke is this, what do these evil regime take us for, idiots? Tinubu and his team are just joking with Nigerians. In our local pidgin slangs "this one na see finish". To them, the citizens can't do anything cause they're immune to accountability and justice, so they can do whatever they like and get away with it.

"It's high time we sit up and take back our country from this evil regime", cause they have no good plans for Nigeria. Please have anyone here experienced 24 hours power supply for a week atleast? Cause I don't understand what this clown that calls himself the minister of power is saying.
So how do you think we can possibly take power from this regime, I’m going to assure you that your vote isn’t going to count, the problem is that you will be voting with a fake Electoral Material allegedly, which is why I think your vote isn’t going to count, personally I don’t take this Nigeria Government seriously anymore, because I don’t see why a minister would be making such a statement for doing his job, should I be clapping for him for doing a job that he is getting paid, let me assume that what this minister is doing is a good job, when he is getting paid for it, however we all know he isn’t telling the truth, because I can’t see the steady electricity he is talking about in Nigeria, I believe he is talking about his home.

When I read that news on social media, I laughed out loud and I was like, so it has gotten to this extent that our leaders now make jest of the citizens. It's funny because I don't know if it's see finish as the OP said or kind of because why on earth with a reasonable person spill such in the midst of light issues in many parts of the country.

Most of these men have their houses under solar power and also standby Listers that give them 24 hours daily. Most part of this country doesn't seem light in months and years and the poor masses who can not afford buying fuel for #1400 to power their house have been left on the streets to suffer and have their business going down due to inadequate power supply.

The citizens have allowed this to continue because it's not like they will cast their vote intentionally by next year. If citizens continue vote selling, nothing will change so let the general public decide to end bad governance and it will end immediately.

Could you believe that there will be some foolish people in that conference hall clapping for that idiot as he was making that speech? To tell you how unserious this country is. I wish our vote will count this time so that we can put some stop to all this bullshit happening in Nigeria, i can't believe a minister will come out boldly to announce that due to the steady electrical power in Nigeria that some persons are calling on him for this good work that what they even have in their refrigerator is getting blocked all the time of which we all knew that the minster is talking trash and lies.

Who are the ones that are better than these ones that are coming to take power from them and that are capable of effecting any positive change in the different sectors of the country? if we have failure from the presidency to the ministers and all those in charge of different ministries and parastatals, who do we then change? is it possible to do a complete change of all these guys and do we even have better replacement for them?

As bad as some of these guys are, they are far better than most of the people that are eying those offices. go to your wards and unit to see the way a youth that is given an opportunity to govern at the base level is squandering their constituency allocation and you will know that we are a corrupt people from top to the bottom.

As a side note, there is actually an improvement in power supply even though we can still get better. If they claim that they want to do more, then thousands of villages that don't have access to power supply should be connected to the national greed and we will know that they are serious about it.

Who are those Nigerians actually, which part of the country are they living in so that I can relocate because right here for the past how many months now there’s no light. I wouldn’t argue if truly there are Bunch of People in this country who can actually tell the power minister something like this because they want to buy favour from the minister by heaping those praises on him and that’s what is dragging us backward in this country. We worship our politicians as though they’re doing us a favour by delivering their obligations to the country, even though at the end they are doing nothing to help the citizens. Our politicians are so free that they can do anything they like and there’s nothing anyone can do because the citizens don’t demand for accountability from them. The moment we start demanding more accountability from our politicians and stop heaping those praises on them anytime they managed to deliver their obligations to us they won’t come out to say rubbish like this on the TV again.

There is nothing our leaders in this country will say that will surprise me again, you forgot that you are living in a country where people can lie just to get votes when they want them to be re-elected, they are doing everything to make sure they continue to be in their position and that is not going to work, if we let them go for another round this country will be worst than the one we have seen and we will regret it in the end.

I don’t know when last i have 24 hours power supply, power supply has been one of the biggest problems in Nigeria and see someone is coming out saying something different because he want to remain in that position after suffering Nigerians for years, if we did not make the country better by supporting another candidate we are going to suffer.

The minister for power is indeed a great comedian. Not only that,  he is even better than AY, basketmouth and bovi put together when it has to do with comedy.
Its completely obvious that electricity is one of the major challenge in the country, even at  Aso rock they are still depending of solar panels and generators for the generation of electricity And here he is saying Nigerians are complaining of too much electricity, now i know this people are acting on purpose.
With the presence of all we still can not boost of 6 hours electricity in Nigeria and here they are convincing themselves with fabricated stories and lies just to convince citizens to vote them into offices but I know there time is up and can't fool us anymore.

Sometimes I feel we're not doing enough to let our politicians know why they're voted into power in the first place cause if we were all these bullshits won't be happening, these are people elected into power to serve us with good governance but they end up becoming criminals and appoint idiots that would aid their crime.

Well I don't blame that minister, if they were held by authorities to give account of how they serve, this minister won't be mocking us in disguise.  You're even talking of 6 hours, there are place where theirs no power supply for more than a week now.
That would only happen in nations that permits freedom of speech not a country like Nigeria where citizens has limited access to airing out our feelings. Many that speaked out have lost their lifes and some in prison all as a result of the fact that we don't have the right to speak out as it is meant to be.
Even if we speak, the opinion of the citizens are not listened to because all sector have been manipulated to work in accordance to there decisions if not so I think many things would have changed in Nigeria today as many citizens are ready to speak out.
In other for all this to stop, all we should be looking at now is how to vote them out and vote in transparent leader that will help transform the country.

If he is talking about his job that is effectively carried out, then we should also applaud him. We had a past minister of power that wasn't effective, and at that time, we didn't have enough power supply in the country and everyone was complaining. Now, this present minister has perfectly done his job, and the whole Nigerian have now attested to the fact that the light we have now is very steady, then at least we should be able to call a spade a spade.

If this light will continue like this and light issue no longer becomes a problem in the country, then it's all good for us. All that is needed now is for this light to get across every nooks and crannies of the country, both urban and rural areas should all experience this steady light so that it will make life easy and comfortable.

It's unfortunate that we are from a country whose government sees the basic amenities they are supposed to provide for us as one of the big things they are doing for us.

In this 21st century, a country of ours is still complaining and talking about lights, good roads, piped water, health care, and schools as what the government should provide for us, even though they find it difficult to provide them, only to use them as a means to campaign for us to vote them into power to get the basic amenities we need for our daily activities.

Our government thinks we are fools. In the election period next year, we should vote wisely to put a stop to this rubbish. And if we don't, the same insults will continue and never stop.

I'm sorry to say this, but we the citizens also contribute greatly to the problems that we're actually facing now. We are the ones discouraging them from doing their job or carrying out their responsibilities. Any leader that did small innovation now, the people will start hailing them, and that what the politicians love most. Is like we're indirectly telling them that they have done enough for us. We need to make them understand what they are there for. Provision of social amenities is their responsibility, some countries have already passed this level, it's a shame that we still complain about lights, bad road, cost of transportation, and bad health care and agricultural infrastructure.

The docility of Nigerians is giving this people more moral to do this. It's very sad that they keep doing this. Dispite the fact that It is not right at all. Very annoying and disgusting. If he is actually doing the good thing, there will be no need for him to come out and declare he is doing something. The work he has put down will do the talking. They keep making us the laughing stock each time and don't care how the world sees us.

This Man is literally doing nothing for this country and even the so called electricity be is bragging about we are not seeing it and  I wonder the part of Nigeria that is telling him to cease power because there items in the freezer is freezing. In this very 21st century, is light something we were supposed to come online and brag nor even praise ourselves when Ghana has 24/7 light and you won't hear noise about it, I was on Facebook one of this days and I read a news that Kenya are protesting because their power system was faulty and couldn't get light for three days, this is just three days and they protested and Nigerians has been in darkness for ages.

We use our hands to bring mockery upon ourselves as a people because we should be talking about advanced development not electricity that should be the least of it, all this people do is eye service coming into the news and be saying rubbish. Are this the infrastructures we should be praising them for when we don't have good health centers, water and good roads?, we are still very backward in this country.

Basic amenities that is supposed to be the least thing that a government can do for the citizens is what has now become luxury and we are even begging for them despite that we pay taxes and utility bills. How did we even arrive at this point because I don't even know the benefits of the utility bills that many Nigerians are paying if we can't have steady power supply.

For a very long time it has just been same old complaints and the government is just gambling with the emotions of the masses. Since when we were in primary schools, we have been talking about government providing basic social amenities and up till date everything is still the same.

Advising people to vote wisely in the upcoming elections is good but how many people has their PVC ready, that's another bigger problem.

You see, your vote my vote will eventually count only if we are able to come out en-masse to vote for our choice. If we are able to practice half the way we show are camaraderie in the internet we decide to turn it to a physical movement and participation in politics, we will be able to stand up to our rights and freedoms and eventually protect our votes. It is a tradition in this country where politicians continue to show their power in controlling  our lives and affairs and instead of us standing against it, we tend to lean towards their way and complain online, here and there without solving the issues from the foundational level. If we are saying we don’t take the incumbent government seriously then what are the most effective ways we are exploring to ensure they don’t get away with their fraudulent activities during the elections.

You're making sense but i don't think people would give same energy they give on the media in physical, the media is a place for free speech but on the election day, you'll have many obstacles, the thugs are against you, confused citizens, those who'll sell their vote even bad police officers that would aid the thugs in snatching elections materials.

Except we're ready to face these obstacles with our all and make sure our vote count that's when we can save ourselves from this evil regime, with how bad the economy is you'll be expecting everyone or majority to be united with their choice (voting out bad government) you’ll be shocked at how people, matured adults would cue up to sell their votes peanut money.

It is not just getting our PVC ready to vote out this politicians out we should be doing, but by making sure that after we finish voting, we stay put and defend our vote so that nobody will be imposed on us.

In the last elections that tinubu won, the biggest mistake Nigerians made was trusting inec to do their job unbiased, but we where wrong, we never knew that they have been bought over, so everyone needs to get their PVC, vote and stay back to defend it like our lives depend on it, because if tinubu wins again, we are going to see the true definition of hunger in the country.

See bro. What one doesn't condemn, he allows. This politicians have used us as fool for too long. And they keep doing it every time. And that is bad. The don't care about us and say things anyhow most times if not every time. If we as Nigerians don't sit up and do the needful, this nonsense ride that this government is doing will continue. I hope we are aware that this country is turning little by little into a one political party system. We need to braise up as Nigerians.

You can imagine this clown of a politician saying this nonsense on TV. Now they think they are ruling over fools because Nigerians don't demand for what is right for them. Anything they see they collect. It's high time that stops. We need to match into the streets and protest until they go. We know deep down in our heart what we should do about this. Till then we will just be observing when Nigerians can take this any longer.

We gave them those right to operate in such manner and we will also take it from them if only we are ready to stand and face our greatest challenge which is fear all this nonsense will stop in this country.  They operates with same ideology once its election time just to convince us and without wasting time we always fail into their traps but if only we will stand and say no to this nonsense it will all stop. Last time I saw wike saying he must win FCT for tinubu as if he will false citizens to vote for tinubu in the forthcoming election if they don't want to. Its the right time we all stand to vote this corrupt set of leaders out of power so we can experience the power of good governance
