Jobs today aren't even long term anymore, unlike in the past where my parent were able to build a lot of properties using salary, today no one dares do this unless that job isn't a very common one and it's going to take alot of your time and effort.

Things have changed completely, it's either you become a boss of yourself or you choose to work under someone who can sack you one Monday morning, but can't deny that there are some jobs that will always be there no matter what.

Examples are lecturers and teachers, they hardly get sacked at their jobs, it's just that skills are paying more than servicing the public, either ways you choose what suits you best.

I can't agree regarding teachers and professors. Very often they do lose their jobs, especially where students have the opportunity to evaluate the quality of teaching and how engaging the subject is, and where this evaluation actually affects how things are run at the university. If students pay for their education, they have the right to demand certain things. In that case, professors also depend on this, because students are their main stakeholders. And if a professor thinks they can teach the exact same course for decades without adapting it to modern realities, they might not get the required number of hours and will simply be left without a job.

Jobs especially from Private organizations or companies have not been certain and secured as far as I know, it is not like the government jobs that are guaranteed to be secure till retirement, the companies layoff employees at their discretion especially when there is strong need to do so.

You’re right, is only government jobs that always give you guaranteed till you retired, but other companies will not give you assurance, because is just as a temporary job, you can be sacked anytime they find you’re not helping to company or organization you’re into. If they find things are not going well, the next thing they do is to look for another alternative to replace you. And I can advice anyone that is working under company or any private organization, he should try is best and look for another alternative for source of income, they shouldn’t depend on one aspect only, so that if this way block, you can get another place to breath.

Some people just do not have the mindset to start a business. They are so used to their jobs that they find comfort there and do not even consider switching their job. These people have gotten too comfortable which is actually not a good thing. Getting comfortable in the current job means expecting no growth and continuing to do the same work over and over. Even productivity is killed over there but a few people do not really care as long as they get their fixed salaries at the end of every month.

No job does not have its own advantage and at the same time disadvantages, when we talk about job security, there are so many factors we have to consider, and we must be able to balance them and ensure that each fits the same applicable conditions for why we wanted to get hired for a particular job and maintain it.

Being self employed also has its advantages and disadvantages, and at the same time working under government or any private and corporate bodies also have the benefits and some demerits that come along with our choice, which is why we must always ensure that we consider both conditions and see how the amicably applied to what we wanted before going for any.

Life is all about taking risks and making sacrifices. You can not reach a new destination without leaving your current position. Just like the saying goes "if you want to be somewhere you must leave somewhere". Everything has it own advantages and no job is risk free and problem free, being self-employed or civil servant, or working under any private sector, or cooperate bodies has it own risks and disadvantages. But the most important thing is to always maintain your stand and be strong in every situation that you find yourself. Life itself is not easy, we have to learn how to adapt to the situation, or environment that we found ourselves.

Bro, incentive is everything, and companies are designed to be profitable, not loyal, although loyalty is rare and valued in some. Like recently, a company was sold and the founder gave bonuses to every employee according to their work and rank. It can be a technique to lower taxes, can't tell, but they must have been given some compensation for that too.

Now if we compare the US, China, and Japan, then you will see a huge difference. Like in the US, any party can walk away anytime, and layoffs are a standard quarterly tool for managing shareholder expectations. But in Japan, it's the total opposite. They give lifetime employment and they keep rewarding their loyal employees, although with the new generation, that is changing, but it still has deep roots in many big companies there. Their layoff procedure is also very interesting. Now China is a bit moderate. Their culture demands work from you, it can be a 9 am to 6 pm job, and only one day off a week.

They only reward the most hardworking, and people there are also very hardworking. Loyalty exists in all three, but in Japan it's highest, while in the US and China, it's optional.

Some people are cool with being the middle class or even being the lower class because they do not have the strength to take the risks that comes with business, the downtimes, the uncertainties, the tides. They are more assured earning from a paid job where they can hold someone accountable should their salary not be paid or paid on time.

However, an average person is supposed to be business minded. The level of inflation in the society even in the developed countries is on the rise of which salaries find it difficult to keep up with the rising inflation. But as a business manager, when inflation goes up, you also  increase your price which further leaves you a higher profit to combat the rising inflation.

It is true that everyone is not going to go into business, but then everyone can be business minded even in their paid jobs. If you concentrate on your salary alone, I doubt you will achieve anything at all especially in the developing countries where they are paid so little that they are not even able to afford their transport to their work place.

I'd invest my money to bitcoin anytime than starting a business, it's more difficult than people imagined it to be and the money going out for business expenses are gone for good, if your business can't even break even your losing your money, higher risk than simply buying bitcoin at low.
If anybody ever tried a business they'd know, no more room for the small guys to start a business when corporations are taking all the money by releasing every product in every niche.

Yes, that's good in this economy.
Having a paid job that will pay your bills and you have some side hustle that you do and considered as a business.
If both earns and you're having a great time to both of them, it could work together.
But if that business and side hustle starts to become stable and earns more, you'll end up leaving that paid job soon.
