I will centered my point on the past because the reason most people keep failing is inability to remember their past or even know why they failed, Tinubu, Atiku,Obi and sowore once partake on the past election everyone know the mathematical formula that was deployed even to the facts that naira was changed but that could solve the problem bullion van and dollar take over  Tinubu take over as president, all this happened when some strong politicians are not even joined APC but now eventually 75% of the governor are already in APC the election won't be easy the best could have happened is if all other parties joined fight with all the youth backing them else it will still end like the past results.

We shouldn't be even paying attention to any promises any candidates gives. They have ruled in one scenario or the other. From where they have ruled before, what is the evidence they did better there? All those are things we should bank on when choosing a leader instead of paying attention to their promises. Promises are just words packaged to attract people. But the works they have done in the past will tell whether those words are meaningless or meaningful. Another election, another round of four years. Hope we choose right this time.

Yes judging them from there previous works is the best approach towards handling this wicked leaders of Nigeria that lives with promises they can't fulfill.
I don't know if i will say the use of promises is a campaign strategy used to convince all to Dance to there tune every year, this is what all the past administration have used and even the present administration used it just to convince us and make Nigerians support them but at last nothing have been done.
Now we no longer depend on promises but by what the leader have already done while in office because its of no benefit believing they can fulfill their promises.
These promises will keep happening and people will also fall for it until we the Citizens wise up.  This doesn't just happen only in Nigeria though, every democratic nation will fall for the promises of the aspirants just like Trumps and Tinubus campaign promises. The problem is when citizens focus more on what politicians say than what they have actually done. In current era candidates administrative records matter most. And if we even say we look at each candidates records none of them are  impressive.  It's easy to day something than doing it. Our role is to demand accountability not follow a candidate because he is of the same tribe, or just base on favoritism not competency.

This is the perfect time for all citizens to stand and say no to this political premises that have been used to confuse us for so long. If only citizens can say no to this nonsense promises and make their choices based on the previous performance of all aspirants, the political promises will stop.
Since the switch from a military government to a democratic government in Nigeria,  there is nothing beneficial Nigeria has experienced apart from rehabilitation and construction of roads that adds nothing to the economic growth of the country till now.
To move forward in Nigeria,  we most be ready to make our choices based on transparency and not promises as it used to be before.

The president election is getting closer day by day, we are 116 days (3 months and 25days) away from the election.  On January 16th, 2027  we the citizens wil once again decide our faith and future on who to rule us for the next 4 years.

This upcoming election alone has made us witness alliances between rivals which didn't last up to 4 months ,defections, campaign promises(some candidates said they will bring back subsidy while others supports subsidy removal), arguments and plenty of social media battles before election day.

Now my question is what will be your deciding factor that will influence your voting decision this time? Will it be on these key issues;
Economy? Jobs? Security? Electricity? Food prices? Corruption? Infrastructure?
Or normal tribal favoritism?

These are the main Presidential candidates for the 2027 election ;

1. The incumbent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu  APC
2. Former vice president Atiku Abubakar  ADC
3. Former Anambra governor Peter Obi NDC
4. Popular Activist Omoyele Sowore AAC
5. Incumbent governor of oyo state Seyi makinde APM

So talk about your preferred candidate and why you feel he will do better than the other candidates.

All what everyone is clamoring for the country is someone to lead the country right and deliver the dividends of a democratic country to the people. It doesn’t matter who among this aforementioned candidates finally get to win the election as far as the individual is capable of providing good governance then Nigerians don’t really need to have much of a problem with who wins. The previous election also included this set of politicians as heavy weights candidates, they all campaigned and made promises to the people During their election campaigns but at the end what do we see. The eventual winner we all know how he forced his way into office with different campaign promises of change but after assuming office he failed to deliver his campaign promises.

No politician that has contested and won election has been able to fulfill all their campaign promises or even doing half of what was mentioned in their manifesto as everyone is saying that Peter Obi is too clean amongst the candidates listed above, he still has his flaws because he is a human ad he is not upright and just hundred percent 💯 so there must be ways that he is not doing fine for himself but the problem Nigerians has is selling of votes, once they can vote their choices without being influenced by a bag of rice and peanut then we will get it right.

We are hoping for a change this time around but no one should be trusted that he will deliver the dividends of democracy to the people because they are all corrupt. The individual that wins matters and their past records is something we have to look out for because that where the assessment starts so we can know who will do better in office unlike the hardship Tinubu is making us pass through.

I don't really like discussing politics but when I saw this post, I just felt compelled to say what is on my mind and that is, the current president of which is Bola Tinubu, will still win the next election. You don't have to doubt or bother yourself much because one fact I keep saying to my friends when they bring up this argument is that, Bola Tinubu won the presidential election while he wasn't in office by all means necessary and who is to stop him now that he is the president of this country with all the power in his disposal.
Let's not even talk about Atiku, because he ain't gonna win and Sowore doesn't even go close.

So whether the whole of Nigeria votes for someone else, just bear it in mind that Bola Tinubu will win the second time and am not saying that because am a politician but because as we have grown to understand politics in Nigeria, he stands a better chance to win a second term irrespective of the current hardship we all are facing in the country.
The main issue with some Nigerians is that some people don't stand for there right and are been deceived by little things been shared by the politicians during election we should stand for our right come out and vite for the party he or she wants to bites for and don't vote vote base on things a politician want to shared............... I know all of us now in Nigeria have something to say about the things going on presently in the country even with our younger ones will also have something to say cause we all know what we have been through in the country......... My say about the fort coming election is that we should come out in masses to vote for our choice we should not sell our vote and by do doing we have a better and one Nigerian

One thing I have realized about Nigeria political game is how they use poverty as a tool for them to be win an election. Here me out , if Nigeria was a  good working country and the citizens have good income(low poverty rate , they won't easily be persuaded by what the politicians are offering like money or food for their vote). So our political leaders understand it, therefore they keep millions  of people in poverty, making them marrying amongst selves e.g sponsoring mass wedding and giving birth to many children.  Now a poor person who hasn't eaten or seen 5k for days, was offered x2 of that amount just for him to sell his vote. He would surely agree to it , so in summary they trade their future for a short term happiness.  If you want to stop vote buying, just eradicate poverty and get people educated.

This election will be very tough,  the race is between  Atiku and Tinubu,  obi is not a strong contender,  because if you look at the past election as you highlighted,  Peter obi got the highest number of votes,  but he couldn't not protect his votes and Tinubu rigged his way into power,  now that Tinubu is in power,  can he allow free and fair election?

No, Tinubu will not allow free and fair election,  he's a desperate politician,  he wants to win all, that's why he had not not concerned about the people,  he's busy signing politicians and young people for support,  the Norther will decide in this election,  Atiku is the only candidate coming from the North and Tinubu failed to protect the Northerns , insecurity has been a major issue of the North in this administration and Tinubu doesn't care, the North will fight him back with their votes,  it's very hard to rig election in the north.  I believe Atiku will give Tinubu a tough fight.

I don’t have a preferred candidate for the upcoming 2027 elections. I have come to realise that all Nigerian politicians are after their own self interest and not really interested in building the people that vote them into power. All this people you’ve mentioned have held one position or the other before and they’ve all failed in their delivery of duties. They are just worse than each other and are all power hungry people. I will have trust in Nigeria politics when this generation of politicians are no more in politics. Since we got her independence in 1960, it is still the same set of people that have been ruling us and we haven’t seen any significant changes in Nigeria till date. What makes you think this people can make a different today?

Some times i don’t blame Tinubu and the APC for acting the way they are acting because the opposition in Nigeria isn’t serious yet, i have seen the numerous list of candidates contesting for next year’s presidential elections and am let to wonder why all of the opposition can’t merge to become one strong coalition so it would give them a better chance against this APC administration.

If next year election will yield any positive results then every Nigerian must come out to vote and also the opposition must stay united else the election would be completely rigged as usual to favor the ruling APC government.

Peter Obi doesn't have any record of misusing public funds when he was the governor of Anambra state and he didn't spent money on unnecessarily things he's the most clean and sincere politician in Nigeria in my own opinion. If there's a chance of Nigeria getting better after the upcoming election, I think among all the presidential candidates you mentioned Peter Obi is the person I see would bring a positive change in Nigeria, so come 2027 I will vote for Peter Obi in the presidential election.
I will vote for peter obi again although our vote didn't count last time we voted but we are not giving up on him and i believe next year will be a different year. Peter Obi is the only right candidate in those contesting for the presidential position, ordinarily Tinubu isn't supposed to contest again because he did nothing to come out again for people to support him, Obi did well when he was the governor of Anambra state, he kept accountability of everything and that is the kind of person we need now in Nigeria to become our president.

We go again next year for PETER OBI.

Iswear na di fact u talk so. Di reason why Nigerians dey shout to vote Atiku na bcos tinubu fail to fulfill his promises, no lights, insecurity everywherr, bad road and lack of job opportunity. No any single project citizens fit point say tinubu do for dem despite say we dey pay tax, na why dey wan vote em out.

But wetin Nigeria suppose know say make we no expect say if dem vote Atiku e go bring any change to di country because e dey come for wetin tinubu dey for, which na dere own self interest. I just pray make we get good leader wey go make things better for us but as e be now all dis contesters for President I no sure say dey wan come to make tins better.

Why risk coming out to vote when the vote doesn't count  Cheesy

I genuinely think the worst decision anyone would make is to believe their vote will make a different on next year's presidential election. As we speak, the winner knows himself. The people that needed to be bribed have taken the bribe, and life goes on. Anyone who genuinely wants Nigeria to change, let them come out. Let's destroy the government house in every state, show the government that we don't want them as the leader. There is nothing like peace and fair elections in Nigeria.

Haha how you go talk say Tinubu never do any single project for his 4 years in office.  The man just fuck up for the key areas where citizens dey use survive like the surging Food prices, insecurity, electricity, fuel prices. Just leave Atiku matter, that man just dey desperate to become president, I no sure say he get any tangible solutions to solve our current problems. Na every time he dey  bring fake and useless promises like the one about returning fuel subsidy. If that guy really wan make Nigeria better, e for no contest again , instead support a candidate whey get vision and solution for the country.  But we dey do Presidential rotation between north and south, why he come dey contest when he know say na we southerners get this election. Make he wait for he time (2031) na then power go shift back to north.

In other words you are simply saying you don't care how the state of the nation will be after 2027 election and I guess Nigeria has never happened to you before, else you'll dust your voters card and do the right thing.

Alright, do you have any proof where Peter Obi have embezzled any funds meant for the development of his state when he was in power? Okay let's assume that politician will remain politicians but a particular candidate of amongst the others have the least questionable character, why not vote for him?. With all due respect Peter Obi is the people's choice, without rigging in the upcoming election he would definitely emerge victorious.

The 2027 election will be the toughest and strongest election ever, because the president on sit wants to rule again for the last time why on the other hand the citizens does not want him again, due to his poor ruling and not following the democratic kind of ruling, so they wouldn't want such person to rule again. It is not by just saying you don't want him to be on sit again, but the question is how well are we prepared by voting and knowing the right person to take the sit.

By now, anyone who does not want the sitting president to get back to office should get his PVC ready. We know it's easy to unseat h due to the corruption in the country, but it better that people vote to make it difficult for them to bend the will of the election than to seat at home and not vote at all and allow them do it at peace and carefully arrange the rigging.

Fore, am ready to vote, everyone should also get ready. The sitting president wants to go back there, but the populace don't want him again. Only those who are benefiting from him are pulling strings to get him back to office. We will see how it goes, but I really wish that power will change hands.

Times have changed. The problem of the past is not the problem of the future. Center this attention on the future and on what's going wrong currently in the country. Not what we had in the past. Atiku, Obi, and the past President they had a different fish to fry put what did they do, throw away the frying pan?

Currently, Tinubu has failed to tackle the issues happening in the country. The next President is now campaigning for a better future. Meanwhile, it's all a lie. Once he is President, everything he promised will be set aside.

Yes massive turn up of voters will make it difficult for them to rig the election as they normally do before now, its recognised that rigging is common in all election which is why its very difficult for the right leaders to be elected into power but with the way the world has turned today, I can boldly say if we pick up our PVC and say know to election manipulation,  all those rigging nonsense will stop.

This present administration is  afraid with how fast citizens are moving towards putting an end to their wicked and selfish leadership pattern and are implementing some strategies they think will help them buy back the trust of citizens but i know it will not work because all are ready to stand and choose who we want.

See it's very simple to make sure that tinubu did not win again comes 2027, although last election Tinubu never won, there was a manipulation and everything went down to his foot. I know it will be difficult for him not to win again now that he is the current president but the only way we can stop him is to make sure we stop INEC. INEC must not rig this time election because i believe by now tinubu would have paid them off so they can still announce him as president after next election, but if we can say so no to it this time then the people is going to experience new governance.

It seems as if you are not in Nigeria. The problem of Nigeria is not entirely those we elect into office, but majorly the citizens. Now you are talking about stopping INEC from rigging the election, now the question is, are INEC officials not also Nigerians? Are they not also affected by the current situation of the country? We are not supposed to force them to do the right thing when the country is literally bleeding.

With the way the country is now, no Nigerian is supposed to dance to the tune of any politician. It is quite pathetic that up till now, Nigerians are still selling their votes for small token even when they can clearly judge the candidate or political party by his/their past performance.

If only Nigerians can reflect on all of these and do the right thing this time around. By now we should be saying NO! to selling of votes. Let the best candidate win.
