I strongly believe in Enugu Rangers winning of this match having seen their performance so far this season. They're in an advantage of winning this match than their visitors would do. I have watched Enugu Rangers few of their games this season and that gives me the confidence about them coming out victorious in this encounter. But I don't still think MC Alger should be disregarded either, who knows how strong that they're as only few or barely know one of us here have been able to watch their games.
Enugu rangers actually won this game 2-0, and it was as a result of the red card that mc alger got in the 53 minutes that cost them the game.

They were even the favourite to win the game, even though they were playing away from home, but the red card changes everything, which made things very easy for enugu rangers, because it was after the red card, the goals started coming. Congratulations to enugu rangers because it was a very big winning on their own soil.
Home advantage worked for them; they used the opportunity they had of one man down from their opponents to win the match even though one man down is not usually a problem for some professional teams, but in this case, it was what gave Enugu Rangers the advantage to win their match.

Is there a second leg? If yes, I think Enugu Rangers will be serious because a two-goal advantage can be cleared in the first half, but if they play well, they can at least get a draw away from home because it will be played next week, and we know how football works. Mac Alger will be preparing for the second leg so hard because they will have to score more than two goals and try to stop Enugu Rangers from scoring.

This is not the first time I have said this. One red card cannot demoralized a team to lose their match unless the team was already a weak one. Or the player who got the red card was the main key player of the team. Even at that what about the defense or midfield. Though the position the player got the red card also put into consideration.Oussama Benhaoua was the attacking player for MC Alger but that red card wouldn't have affect them. They would used wisdom to draw that game since their were one man out of the pitch against their opponent.

It was a lucky day for the Enugu Rangers. Congratulations for them for the win. But they should do better next time.

This is a very good victory and advantage to Enugu rangers. Now that they have 2 goal lead advantage they need to make sure that they don't bottle it in the second leg. I am not sure Enugu rangers will be able to do much in Algers home. Most of the Nigeria teams that have gone to North African usually lose. These best thing for them is by trying to score, them they have 2 goal lead and away goals advantage. The chances for Enugu rangers to qualify to the group stage is like 60%

Today's match update

This is the last game for the first leg. The second leg is expected to start on the 20th of October.

The good thing here is that they are able to keep a clean sheet in this game , it would have been worst if Mc Alger has an away goal. Now Enugu rangers will have to find a way to hurt the Algerian side when they visit for the return leg by trying as much as they could to get at least a goal, they have no chance of beating Algers at home but they have every chance to get a goal even if they end up losing the match but their away goal could be instrumental to their qualification into the next round of the competition

Most football lovers who actually watch and follow up with football games will agree with this, when a player is sent off from a team, sometimes it doesn't really matter their position,  provided its a team member,  it gets to tell on the psychology of the team, which in turn can affect their performance in that game. In most cases,  these teams results to becoming more defensive so they will not concede more goals since they are not of equal number to their opponent,  but then in rare cases,  some teams build strength from such,  and even end up becoming more aggressive and possibly taking the lead against their opponent.  Some team becomes even tougher when they have a man down than they were when they were complete,  probably they get that mental awareness that they have a man down and every mistake will cost them a lot.

Anyways,  it varies,  either of the cases I just cited could play out, its not actually binding it must be one of them, it all depends on the team giving the card and the opponent,  and the teams strength and depth too does have a part to play in all of this sometimes.

Enugu rangers still have stronger advantage in their next match on Algeria with mc Alger all they need is to get a score , even if they win them such as 2:1 their chance of qualifying to tje next round is there weather draw even, all they need is fighting to get some goal aggregate against all odds of been win by their opponent, the game may be tough as what leads to their easy win may not be there and they must be very careful not to have any card that will course to some psychological disorder just like what happened to Mc Alger during their meeting at their home.

I knew Enugu Rangers were going to win the match on home advantage but the return leg would be a bit tougher for them because Algers too would not allow them to win but if it ends in draw it is okay as enough Enugu Rangers still stands a chance of  still qualifying for the group stage. They should play the return leg match with the mindset of winning them if it ends in draw, that should be their least target of expectations which is not bad.

It is a very simple thing and can easily be noticable. It's 11 men for both teams, and once one side takes a red card, then there is a big difference. It's now 10 men to 11 men, and there is no way they can match in strength and performance. There will always be a loophole in there team because managers at that point will either substitute a defender yo replace the person who was red carded or sometimes an attacker and brings in a defender depending on the situation at hand. This is not a case anyone would argue at all. If a team is one man down and is not been pressured, then there opponents are not good enough, otherwise, they must feel the impact of loosing a player.

I've seen a lot of wrong information in this thread from yesterday stating MC Alger was one man down which gave Enugu Rangers some advantage of which is a big lie. Rangers were down to 10 men just 13 minutes into the game as Goalkeeper Lucky Jimoh received a straight red card, so for a major part of the first half and far into the second half, Enugu Rangers were playing at a one man deficit until the opposing side got a red card as well and the game became balanced.

I think Enugu Rangers is more of a stronger side and has a bigger advantage with their goal lead and a better squad when they go for the return leg in Algeria. Congrats to them.

It's like yesterday loss really provoked MC Alger fans . It's kind of annoying seeing your team lose that way after travelling all the way from Algeria to Lagos then road transport to Ibadan. It wasn't an easy journey for them though. I didn't even notice that Enugu rangers got red card in the first half, because they didn't play like they were 10 Men down.  The video above shows the fans wanted to confront their coach but was quickly protected by the Nigerian police and security. They managed to get access to the team changing room. There were even some report of damages done in the stadium after the game ended.  We don't need to start attaching violence to football, it's just a game.

I see you are very conversant with the CAF championship 🏆. It is just obvious how these continental leagues are ignored by the local broadcasting station's, not even a special time allocated for local leagues for viewers consumption.

You can as well do well to post links to websites/channels were we can view live CAF tournament since it is not as popular as we think. It will also be nice if you update your post's with livescores as well to keep readers abreast of the match and winner's.
I can't deny the fact that I have been following up the results of the caf champions league in the past years now, but I find it difficult to watch the game live, since you will hardly see a broadcasting TV station televising it. What I normally does is to follow it up on live scores or flash score, because it is from the semi final stage  you will start finding it easier to get a TV station that is televising it on DStv.

What I don't like about the caf champions league is the finals that is being played over both legs. I believe that it would have been more interesting and fierce if it's just a single game on a neutral venue, than playing it home and away.
