There are currently numerous successful hacker attacks on various internet platforms and services. Recent examples include the Coldcard hack and the successful attack on Liquid. Numerous DeFi projects have also been hacked. 🙋

I believe (though I obviously have no proof) that the hackers used advanced AI models to carry out this attack. Unfortunately, this makes it much easier for attackers to find vulnerabilities in an organization's security systems. The problem with cybersecurity is that you can do everything right for years, and then make just one mistake, which can prove fatal. The attacker's job is simple: they need to find just one serious vulnerability. The defender's job is complex: they need to ensure that no serious vulnerabilities exist. This is why, in my opinion, we regularly see the consequences of successful hacker attacks.

As far as I understand, the hackers managed to gain access to private keys.

Analysts will likely be able to trace the stolen cryptocurrency, but doubts remain that law enforcement will be able to recover the stolen funds. This would represent a loss of $7 million.

At the same time, I believe Duelbits online casino will be able to maintain its business. $7 million is certainly a huge sum, but given their turnover, I think they'll be able to recoup these losses within four months and then turn a profit. 🎲

If you have funds on Duelbit just don't panic if you cannot access the site because they have gone offline to enable them investigate the security incident that have affected the site. I hope that they can overcome the loss and move on with their business here and outside the forum. However, Duelbit is a big casino and it wouldn't take them much time to come back online. Scammers are targeting these big companies nowadays.

It's a pity and very draining. Let's just be hopeful that the Duelbit team is able to arrest the situation and stop the hackers from gaining more access to there site.

It's not new anymore, hackers are developing new strategy everyday to ensure they gain access to companies and casinos. Once they get access, they try there possible best to drain and collect funds and render them financially handicapped. It's normal that the Duelbits team has Pooled down there site, probably to make the hackers frustrated while they try to arrest the case.

My major concern now is the effect this unplanned happening will have on its users. Alot of them will panic greatly, thinking that there funds are gone. It's just so bad. Let's be hopeful that the situation will be handled quickly and confidence restored.

That amount is not too big for Deulbit to absorbed, what I keep wondering about is how those hackers gain access to such companies wallets, this has to do with trust violation withing the inner cycle.

This is the only time you get to appreciate centralized coins like tether, but seems the hackers know the drill and have already done conversions to a different crypto (Tron) and the only best thing now is to tag these addresses so that if at any point they come in the procession of a CEX am pretty sure they won't let go of these funds as they are tainted.

As a big casino, it's kind of unfortunate that their wallet got hacked. And from what I've read, this isn't the first time; it actually happened before in 2024, and they also lost millions of dollars from that, and now a similar thing is happening again. Even though they claim that user funds are safe, this incident still raises concerns for users, especially since Duelbits is a big casino, they should have learned from their previous mistakes. But well, I'm sure they'll recover because they're a big casino - even though the losses are quite big, they should still have bigger funds that can cover all of that. But they still need to follow up on this issue to avoid similar incidents in the future.

I actually still visited Duelbits earlier today and later In the afternoon I got an an email stating that the site is going offline while they figure out and fix what's going on.

despite the amount often invested on security by these platforms, it just seems there always some persons lurking around looking to exploit the tiniest of loophole they find in a vulnerable system.

Could be, there is always a possibility it could be an insider job. Many of the comments I read on X suggested that there were RAT's present. Lets just wait for an update! So far, both of their site are in maintenance mode right now.

Tbh, I'm a little surprised with this incident, $6-7 mil, that's a massive amount! How come nobody noticed this big transaction being made? They really should come up with better security system, I hope their 2.0 version would have that. There should always be checks for such big amounts, systems that would prevent moving funds without proper authorization even if done from someone within the circle.

Oups. That hurts so bad, a loss like this could have been used for much upgrades or prizes for players. Honestly, Duelbits is one of my favorite platforms because of how easy it is to play there, with smooth deposits and withdrawals. Now things are getting bad here, people will start questioning and getting scared about their funds inside other casinos or any platforms like this. I am sure the team will fix this sson and they will get back online, but also they should speak out and gain back their trust.

I hope they can find a definitive solution against these breaches and figure out how to avoid them in the future. Also wondering now if the hacker will leave any traces or announce who did it. Really wishing these hackers would get caught because this kind of thing really damages the whole industry and spreads fear among crypto gamblers.

So, it's a confirmed one. 7 million as per the statement of their official announcement which can be a manageable amount for a casino the size of Duelbits and hopefully they will find whoever behind this if someone inside the team did that. I remember, once I thought casinos were never hacked but I was wrong the hacks are happening but casinos are big enough to cover their losses, so another remainder for anyone to avoid keeping balances left on any centralized platforms even though they will most likely will cover the loss.

You may think it is $2 million that was stolen, but it is more than that. The amount that was first reported that has been stolen by the hackers is $2 million, but later was another ontreported that said the amount is $7 million. Who know it is more than $7 million that was compromised and stolen. I think $7 mllion is much, but I do not think that should affect Duelbits to the extent that it will go bankruptcy.

I think Joe also confirmed no users funds were tempered with, but regardless, it is a very ugly situation for the company. I hope they will be able to find out the possible cause of this hack. I didn't even know casinos had such amount of crypto in their hot wallet, I mean why so? The only reason I could think of is the demand for instant automated withdrawal, i.e good payout speed but I fill this amount is way too much to be stored in a hot wallet.

Although this is $2.4 million more than the last drain incident in 2024, but Duelbits is one of the leading casinos in the crypto space. I think it will not be too difficult for them to absorb this.

But even then, $7 million is not a small amount and at the same time, last time hackers stole $4.6 million by accessing the wallet. I don't know if this was actually a bug or if operators do such hacks through phishing attacks.
I think that such casino platforms should be more careful to protect themselves from phishing attacks and at the same time, they should increase the reward amount of bug bounties and continue bug bounties regularly, so that they do not face such situations repeatedly in the future.

Scammers will always find their way, they can spend the whole time the have trying to look for loopholes they can use, and here we are.
Duelbit management has said that the platform will be offline for sometimes while they do investigation about the case, but what I like with them is that, despite the $7m hack, they assure their users that their money are safe, and I am very sure they will get everything done on time to resume their activities because they are one if the most reputable platforms that have been active in this forum, they will do their best to keep their users funds safe and to resume activities as soon as they can.

If you checked this hack incident the total amount in ethereum wallet after the various coins were converted, you discovered that the roughly $6-$6.07 million which is nit so much different from their previous hack incident in 2024.

When that first hack happened, the platform suffered a total lost of $4.6 million in 2024, and now another major hot wallet hack hit them again exploiting several wallets including bitcoin that is somewhat worth taking the site offline for major site maintenance.

The current balance on the hackers wallet is little above.2 ETH.

Yes, Duebits has reported a major funds theft yesterday that involved stolen assets such as Ethereum, BNB Chain, USDT, USDC and SHIB. And currently the site is taken offline to continue the investigation and as long as this isn't done, none of us can access the site or check our balance if we have deposited funds there.

Its not just $4m but roughly $7m, so just imagine how Duelbits is coping right now. Another lesson for us to never leave significant funds in any casino site as things like this may sometimes be happening beyond control.

This is terrifying if its confirmed to be a hack. I hate when casinos are hacked because those are people's deposits that are being stolen and that makes a reputable casino appear bad. Another hack this time it’s a casino, and they are being hit big. $7m is not small money that a business can just swallow like nothing ever happened. I hope they are somehow going to recover some of that money because it’s really big. Even if they have enough reserve, this is still going to take them.

This also brings us to the risk of a hot wallet being connected to the casino and advantage of manual withdrawal which someone talked about this weeks ago in this forum as a safety precaution for casino if I could remember correctly.

Am just surprised how hackers seem to be going after every platform that exist online and with hot wallets because it's not only crypto wallets that are being hacked these days and it's just bizarre.
This Duelbits hack from what I read is about $7 million and it's mainly targeted at hot wallets while the Duelbits company was smart to use cold storage for the bulk of their funds.
It just remains a reminder to everyone to never store large funds that isn't for immediate use on CEX or online casino mostly crypto currency casinos but use cold storage instead because the hacks are getting rampant and we can never know what their next target is.
