As far as I recall, we haven't heard about casino hacks in a long time. Lately, everything under the sun is getting hacked: hardware wallets, exchanges, casinos. What times we live in...

The target is no longer Exchange or Wallet, but has started targeting the top Casinos and Duelbits to be the Casino they tried and earned $7 million.
But the wise move taken by Duelbits makes all users safer and takes quick action to make better updates.

All funds lost from users will be recovered, Joe as the Co-Founder of Duelbits always takes quick action and gives the best for his users.
Waiting for the launch of Duelbits 2.0 will make Duelbits a more trusted casino and this case will really increase the security and vigilance of Duelbits and all users.

You may remember that some cases of locking duelbits user funds were solved very well by Joe, even the user who experienced the problem got $5000 compensation,

Kinda weird that the leak happens and then a big hack happens isn't it? I am not saying they weren't hacked but could it be some sort of employee/owner deal showing a loss to avoid some tax implications that may arise due to the info leak? According to the post recently made by the co-founder on X urges everyone to wait, an official statement will be made within 24hours claiming they’ve identified the problem. This shows the casino is already doing everything possible in their best power to restore the site, actually there’s no point panicking because customer funds remain intact as promise while they just need time to understand the whole problem probably rectify it, $7M is a huge amount of money honestly this is really bad.

That post by Joe on X really made a lot of customers feel assured it will be okay. It's a very fast initiative on his side, and I hope all gambling site management will be like this. It's helpful to avoid panic, and every update will be crucial to keep their customers calm, even after what happened.
I think this will strengthen the reputation of their website if they can recover from this. It's best if they do it fast. We know gamblers are really impatient. 

Top casino is solving issue like this on very quick manner like Stake that was hacked with 41M$ last 2023 but they only stop their operation for few hours and return already to normal operation.

This is not the first time Duelbits has been hacked in a similar fashion. They were hacked in 2024 and lost $4.6 million when the hacker was able to compromise the private key of their hot wallets. This recent breach was yet another similar attack two years later, and it looks like they haven't learned from their past mistakes to mitigate a similar problem.

I am not questioning their credibility, but to lose $4.6 million in 2024 and now around $7 million two years apart to a similar hack is carelessness, as they did not learn anything from that initial breach.

It is weird if you put it that way, because they had a similar hack in 2024 and now another one two years later. Same modus operandi: hot wallet private key compromise.

There's nothing terrifying about these hacks anymore. It just feels like the norm. Bitget was also hacked yesterday and about $371M was lost.
Somehow this doesn't just feel normal and to me, it isn't just the adverse effect of AI anymore, bad actors would always look for a professional stunt to lean on while executing planned dirty jobs.

This looks more like an organized hack by a group of white hats turned black hats and there's a lot of insider information involved. These hacks looks like what is sponsored by some very big players, we would find out with time.

It's terrifying my friend. I have little amount sitting their I used recently for trades and I never saw this coming. People that used Duelbit are also in panic because they have their money on the casino but pretty sure they will come back to operation. A company like this should know that such kind of hack can be avoided but it can't be rule out, they should have some sort of protection for users even before now since they have experienced hack before.

There is nothing people can do about this, not your keys and not your Bitcoin is the safe way but you can't gamble that way. Even the web3 wallets don't use Bitcoin because they don't have smart contracts to enable trade except for evm wallets. I don't know how big their reserve looks but this should be reasons they should even win the trust of customers and come back fully while they continue to do more investigations of the stolen funds.

It is good to confirm what happened directly from Duelbit, so this is not a hear say, although I feel bad for them to be going through this enoumous lose due to the hack but I'm happy that they are not going to shutdown because of it so the gamblers in their site only have to take a break for now. On the part of gamblers that have funds in their Duelbit accounts it would be assuring for them to hear that their funds are safe, they only have to wait until Duelbit is finally convinced that they are ready to start operations again. Sometimes one can't help but wonder if some of these hacks are inside jobs because I believe that many leaks and hacks will have collaborators from the inside, those that can reveal useful information to the ones outside.

Reports have it that the hackers of Duelbit adopted thesame pattern that was used to exploit Stake in 2023. I was wondering, don't learn from the mistakes of others. There is no need to blame Duelbit because these criminals are coming up with new ways of stealing from people.

Hoping that they can recover the funds, since the new address, which holds about 2,234 ETH, has been identified and the money has not been moved.

Bitget are just one clueless company with low budget experts. The hack happened around 4-5pm utc time and the CEO didn't update people all through till around night before they gave update. How can exchange triggered large withdrawals and the system couldn't inform the exchange about such large transaction. I don't know what to think about this hacks recently but it will definitely have something to be an insider job, one person let the company down.

I have checked Duelbit website and it's not back yet, it's better they check where the mistakes comes than let it be running. At least, they say users funds are safe. They should fix what's fixable so people can get their money but people that will stay will stay. There are somethings you can get in Duelbit you can never get somewhere.

Well over a million hacked is already big, even if Duelbits has established their presence for many years. Yeah, it could be that their funds are stolen, although there could be qualms for gamblers that they have been breach so their could be precedence.

Hopefully, all other casinos upon hearing this, should hardened their security presence for now. As criminals are all over the place and just waiting for that perfect timing to pounce their next victims.

Its really sad to hear things like this happen to reputable casinos such as Duelbits, but then to its users they will find solace in the assurance that their deposits are safe, they will only need to exercise some patience till everything had been resolved and the site restored, this may take some time but like they have assured, we want to believe they will be back soon with better services.

Definitely, i believe the Duelbits team gets to the root cause of this and strengthen their security architecture after now and as much as possible, recover the much they can and get back on track with better service and some level of assurance to its users as it regards possible reoccurrences again in the near future, so that the users will have their trust strengthened, My best wishes as with them as they investigate the situation.

Most of the attacks and hacks happening on centralised platforms are planned and carried out by people who are employed in the company, I won't force anyone to believe this but it's happening around us.

Currently someone is stealing from a company and she is using the money to run business outside, raising her family, buying expensive things for her parents, not just her only, many people are doing it.

So how much more a crypto exchange or a casino? Especially if the person is appointed as the manager, the business will see hell in the hands of workers, people don't care about your business, they only care about themselves.

Bitget and Duelbits both got hacked as the same date and their wallets got drained. I think the hacker group might have found a loophole that's why they were able to drain wallets of an exchange and of a casino. Just like Bitget, Duelbits representative also confirmed that the user funds are safe.

I think no exchange or casino is safe in current times when AI is getting smarter and the agents are getting more intelligent. Hope, in future crypto exchanges and casinos and other crypto platforms will take proper steps to improve their security to leave no loopholes or flaws that could be exploited by hackers but we know such a thing is not possible so there's always going to be such risk.

Bitget confirmed the attack was from North Korea called The Lazarus group that once broke into Bybit in large numbers --- Duelbits still has not confirmed the hack from which their analysis team may have found the steps.

We don't know if this hack is AI assisted or they have their own tools to infiltrate with tight security, I believe most people talking AI can help it all, but that's the case now no one is 100% safe.

This is the only time you get to appreciate centralized coins like tether, but seems the hackers know the drill and have already done conversions to a different crypto (Tron) and the only best thing now is to tag these addresses so that if at any point they come in the procession of a CEX am pretty sure they won't let go of these funds as they are tainted.

It's useless to do this because most of hackers often laundered their money after they got it. So taggting them seems just a waste of time. I meant it's not wrong thing, but i believe when money is getting hacked, it's already gone. The chance for hacker to do a stupid thing by deposit it on CEX is small.

It's irony, but centarlized funtion to blacklist the addy sound good when it comes to the hacked case like this.

It could be because of AI, but theorically, AI might be used only to exploit the bug or vurnerability in the site. However, it's also not entirely true because when it comes to the private key compromise, the team itself can also be suspected by doing shady thing.

Anyway, this is the second time the same incident is happening on duelbit. It's hard to believe if no insider involved in this hacking case.

It could be an inside job, it's a thing that casinos might be the best target right now compared to online crypto exchanges because they aren't that invested in security compare to exchanges.

Casinos are always busy running after marketing, bringing in loads of customers, using bonuses and deposit rewards all for having high numbers of users as possible but not security.

Maybe this will serve as a warning to other online casinos that they should start looking into better advanced security measures for their businesses to avoid future hacks like this one.

That sucks.  $7 million dollars is no small loss.  I hope that duelbits is able to absorb it without effecting their customers.  I assume they had a cold storage reserve and for an operation the size of duelbits I assume that a few million dollars won't destroy their business.  Still, if you are a cautious person, this is the type of situation where you withdraw your funds and give yourself a little reset.  I have no reason to suspect funds are at risk, but I've been through too many of these events to sit patiently and hope for the best.

That's basically my rule too now, doesn't matter how big or trusted the site is, a hot wallet hack can happen to anyone. Keeping only what you're actively playing with on-site and moving the rest out seems like the sane default at this point.

Another hack supposedly just hit the market. Crypto exchange Bitget has reportedly been hacked for $170,000,000. I think the era of AI could be descending upon low security exchanges.

I just hope that low security exchange operators will double their guard, they shouldn’t rely on their old security framework, because it’s becoming obvious that the Ai era is threatening their operations. They should also invest more in the security of their platform. Nobody want to trade in a place where they are not safe with their assets. There must be a way the likes of Binance and Coinbase are doing it to remain secure. Low security exchanges should copy from their security frameworks if they can’t rely on their own. Imagine losing the amount they are quoting, on something that could have been avoided, if they had an enhanced security system.

Be cautious if you have funds on the casino or you still deciding to move some funds into the online casinos account.

I’m very sorry that this wonderful casino has suffered losses again, just like it did two years ago, and for almost the same amount. And unfortunately, as I understand it, they don’t have a reserve recovery fund like Bitget.
And now they will have to somehow resolve this issue, because Duelbits left me with only positive impressions as a casino service: they had an excellent signature company here on the forum, and they also organized creative contests, and I hope that everything will be fine for them - they won’t stop operating and won’t damage their reputation.

The news of Duelbit getting drained is weird. Duelbit admin doesn't sound like they felt the attack. Why does it seem like a promotional scheme? I really think the maintenance is fast. I don't know where the calmness behind the storm is coming from. Perhaps there is enough money to cover the loss instantly. If that's the case, I highly rate the casino.
