Oh wow, that’s exceptionally helpful. I never know there were so many options for trading without KYC. I believe I’ve heard about some Decentralized exchanges, (even though I’ve not really tested them out yet), but Bisq, Hodl Hodl and Peach Bitcoin are completely new to me. The higher premiums and lower liquidity are worth considering too. I’ll definitely give them a try and then compare which is more convenient in terms of ease and reliability… thanks for the info.
I guess you are from Nigeria. What I know most about Nigerians is that they are gambling so much, but if it is about exchanges, they do not like decentralization exchanges and I do not know the reason. I am using Bisq, hodlhodl and Peach bitcoin wallet. The problem you will have their is that rarely will you see people that want exchange to naira. It is very frustrating there, but you can give them a try.

I'll just talk about dex though, I know that with the recent hacks on Binance, many should go and trade with the likes of Bisq or HodlHodl. But I still think that most traders will still prefer CEX though.

For now, DEX doesn't have that liquidity that we want to. Or at least it should be quick when we want to trade or anything. But it's not the case as far as my experience goes. You will have to wait for even days before someone picks up your trade.

Yes I am a Nigerian, and you’re not entirely wrong about your observation about Nigerians, except the part you said that Nigerians don’t like Decentralized exchanges, because I don’t think this is that’s true, although a lot of people actually do prefer and love the ease that comes with centralized exchanges, but a lot of us do like decentralized platforms, especially those that holding a larger amount of coins.

Well good idea too to make a deversification of your asset in multiple exchange because if one freeze or even get compromized still you have into other exchange, well seems its sometimes getting lazy to transfer back and fort your asset into your wallet to exchange so sometimes we let it there in the exchange itself. but still this is aint our money its their money once its on their exchange.
Many people dont want to have the headache of creating a software wallet. I dont think its a headache, rather a bigger headache is going to happen when the exchange goes down with a huge amount of funds still intact there.

Because no one can predict when a hack or a government seizure of a website is going to happen and nobody is ever going to know how long the process after that is, its better to avoid it from happening.

Now it will become different story only if you will store your funds for a long term in an exchange with a longer position id recommend into using your wallet now than the exchange as your wallet.
I think users on this forum know this but a large chunk of regular users are not on this forum but away and only use the exchange and dont read stuff getting posted here.

Hence victims will always happen in such hacks, but at least the users of this forum should be safe.
