This depends entirely on the country you're in. If you're in a first-world country like the USA, even the simplest but hardest jobs provide enough money to survive, and if you do them every day, you save enough to pay for your things. Now, in a developing country, you have to have many jobs four or five and even then you feel like you don't have enough money. It depends a lot on where you live.

Besides, depending on where you are, if you're in a country like the USA and you have a profession and are lucky enough to get hired in that field, well, that's like the Holy Grail because everything improves in your life. In my country, I have two professions, but it's useless. In the USA or Europe it works, but those are countries that require you to have a degree from there, and studying at this point is like wasting time because what's needed is money, not education. My studies, at least for me, are over. I spent years at my university, and there's no point in continuing to study more. So sometimes there are things that sound logical but don't make sense in reality.

To improve you have to make a concerted effort. If you are hardworking and there is no planned process, you will not get success. For example, if you have a lot of money, you will be able to earn more money from that fund if you are skilled in fund management. I remember a post in which the Colgate story was mentioned, so I learned from it that a simple idea from an employee to increase the size of a hole in toothpaste could cause a huge increase in the company's revenue.

But sometimes you have a good idea, but its implementation and Sop's take a long time. If a manager has a unique idea, after conveying it to employees, they work hard on it and then the outcome comes to start. So the conclusion is that a smartphone is very important for success, but before that we need to work hard to build a startup, then we will be able to proceed with the formula of working on it.

Hard work is done by both classes of people, but the type of work is different. The one who is starting from zero has to work intelligently in the field, which you can call physical work. But the one who is in the upper class also has to work, his work is not mainly physical work. Most of the time, the rich people have to go through mental stress and mental work, complex calculations, meetings with high-ranking people and travel. The life of the upper class people looks organized from the outside, but not so from the inside.

Of course, there is a lot of difference between the hard work of a rich person and the hard work of a poor person. People work hard in the beginning to be comfortable, but after success, even if they are comfortable, there is hard work.

Yea, we are still saying thesame thing. There is no universal formula for success, if someone became successful by only being smart, it may not always work for the next person; the next person may have to apply both smartness and hardwork. One of the reasons for the difference in outcomes is the financial background of different persons. Some persons may have things easier for them because their family already have a very good social network, so it is easier meeting good opportunities.

The bottom line is, if you need to work hard, please do and if just being  smartness works for you, utilise that opportunity effectively.

Whether someone is starting from scratch or not, someone needs to work smart, and at the same time, they also need to work hard, because someone can only achieve their desired success through working smart and working hard. But relying only on working hard is bad, the way I view it, because it is a hard way to achieve something based on discipline.But I don’t know what you may be referring to as working smart in your post, as you are saying people should only work hard at the start, and when they grow, that is when they will start working smart.

Because what I understand by working smart is getting things done in an easier way without much stress. For example, if someone is asked to pack a large number of blocks from one particular place to another, normally, some people will think of taking the blocks one by one. It's not just about working hard. Repeat the same thing every day in the same manner but in the wrong way will be a real effort and the outcomes may not be as productive. Again for those who are starting out from scratch, there is no alternative to hard work. Work is actually intelligence and hard work. Hard work and smart work are not opposites they are same. In reality, people need both smart work and hard work to get anything especially when they are starting from zero. Hard work is key to success it helps to build discipline, learn skills, gain experience and achieve financial stability. Whereas smart work helps to avoid wasting effort on thing that are not good enough or that do not produce good results. If someone is starting from 0 and they have limited resources they have to work longer hours because they do not have money, opportunities or connections but if someone is working very hard but not learning anything, it can also keep the person stuck in the same place. I completely agree with you that if you start from scratch, you have to be hardworking. You have to move forward with intelligence considering hard work as the main thing. In the beginning, you are not experienced in anything.
