Actually this question is a bit weird knowing that lot of people are looking for a diverse way of earning an income, whereby they would be looking for business to do in other to sustain themselves. But one question I keep asking is that “must everyone venture into business“?

Business is not for everyone. However, if there is capital, I demand that people should go into owning a business, as it is a means to create wealth and maintain financial class.

The reason why I draw this question was as a result of someone I knew too well that wasn’t able to maintain the business he owned. Every two years he kept jumping from business to another yet no results to show up about becoming successful through that business.

Each business has a certain risk and success ratio. Going into business because of trends and pressure is what destroys many business owners. TBH, the person in this context needs to evaluate his attitude towards approaching his business. The issue may not be the business but his inability to be disciplined in managing a business.

This is a valid answer IMO that not everyone should go into business. But I think that there's nothing wrong if everyone tries to enter into any legal business and to see if they are for it.

Because there are people who are for it and they don't know it yet but after trying it and years of thinking it's not for them, there are these people who hits the nail perfectly with their timing, execution and nature of business they do.

It's okay to try it if it's for us but many will realize that business isn't for them.

Everyone can enter into business, but handling stuff is never been easy for everyone because its needs enough work with many other things which are also needed to be handled while everyone is not having same level mind just because of this business is never been for everyone its just fewest peoples can manage all.
In the last few years I have been watching many things around me. Many people are having their businesses, but mostly they are also going to end quickly because they do not have the ability, so they run for jobs or other things that help them have a good life. Business needs a good creative mind because ideas and strategies always need to be done for increasing profit and having more success.
Trying a business has never been a problem, but it also needs enough sources, which is also a problem for many of those who enter but end up losing.

Yes, that is so true and that's why someone trying it out will show if they are for it or not. And that's to see if they're valid businessmen and up to their capacity if they'll continue or not.

That's why we often hear from the businessmen which they say that not everyone is built for a business. Everyone can try but when they see the reality about it and have experienced it.

We'll see who are up for the challenges and not.

In fact, the man mentioned above may not have been successful due to his lack of business knowledge, lack of patience, and excessive greed for money. In fact, to do business, one must have business knowledge because without business knowledge, one will never be able to make a profit from business. If you day one of the reasons, I will agree with it but knowledge is not the only reason why many businesses do fail. Economy factors can make business to collapse even with the right knowledge. Have you not seen how inflation breaks businesses that there large supply of fiat chasing small goods and people that don't have it suffer and people in business have closed down because people don't even have the money to buy the things they sell.

Some business can face government policies changes, imagine that you are running a business and the government increased to tarrif on importation of materials that you used for your business, you have to increase the amount you are using to run the business else you will be operating at low supply because what you are using for production price has increased and the worst of this scenario is that you may not be able to increase your selling price because people will look for alternative products at are cheaper.

The only people that business is not for are those that are insane, apart from this set of people if you are normal and you think as a normal human being, you can venture into a business and succeed.
Business is not an easy thing to do at some point you will fail but you should not give up, what you should do is to continue and make yourself better, no successful businessman you see today has had a very good and wonderful journey, they had a time when they almost lost everything and wanted to give up, but they decided to be patient and continue and today they are now expert in that area of business.
No matter the amount of failure you get in a particular business one thing for sure is that the more you fail in that area of business, the more knowledgeable you will become in that same area of business, if you are consistent and patient you will succeed.

Haven't you heard of people going into business and never do well that's they didn't succeed in it? so saying that one can go into business and succeed makes it look like business is very easy to run, first to succeed in business you need to be determined because at the start of any business there use to be some challenges so you must be consistent and know how to fix things together, know how to manage finance properly and also learn about the business you want to do.

Yeah some of the things you said is true but you have not actually understand the reason why it seems that they are discriminating most people from business because is only one thing that would qualify anybody to venture into business and that's the business knowledge and we know that is something you wouldn't be able to see in everybody, so if you don't have the knowledge there is nothing consistency and determination will make you achieve in business even if you have to endure because until you have the right information and knowledge of the business you wouldn't be sure of your success.

I agree with you. It isn't enough to simply start a business to become financially independent. Before starting in business it is important to have a clear idea of which business is suitable the risk the amount of capital needed and the long term viability of the business. Many individuals get into business without much knowledge and planning only to lose their investment and get demoralized. I think it's even more important to get real world, small scale experience in business learn the market and create a plan that fits your ability before you start a business. You said that you knew a man that has ventured into multiple business and failed, well, this are one of the things that commonly happen to us as business men, for example, I have done business and I failed, not because I wasn't prepared, not because I didn't know how to run the business, but sometimes unforseen things happens and we end up ruining our business, I was selling pack of drinks, waters and cartons of soaps, detergent, diapers, tissues and the likes. The business was good and I was making so much money, but there was something that happened. The area that I rented that shop belonged to a king. After his death his sons started fighting over their father's properties and the issues escalated to the point at which we were all asked to move out from our shops, the noticed came so suddenly and that was the problem, and then I quickly began looking for other shops, but I couldn't afford an expensive one at that time, because the shop owners knew we were desperate so decided to increase their shop rent so they can make more money from us, without even considering our situation, I tried and tried, but I wasn't able to get a shop, and then one morning while I was sleeping, I got a call that my shop is being vandalized by some thugs and my Goods are being thrown away. God I was so scared, I had to quickly rush down to the shop, before getting there,  my Goods has been destroyed and ruined. I had to pack the rest to my little apartment and sold them out at cheap price and since then I haven't been able to recover nor even restart my business. But that doesn't mean I have given up, no, I will keep trying until I succeed, so failure doesn't mean you should quit. You have to keep playing with it until you become serious with it.

Yep, learning before getting into business matters but I would not say it's the only way or a guarantee of success.
You can learn from people who've been there. But you can also teach yourself, DYOR and study market before getting started. More importantly, you need to know what you are doing and not give up whenever things go wrong.
Experience comes with time. So having no experience isn't as scary as being unwilling to learn, being lazy and not putting in effort.

Learning from successful people only get you more knowledge and fewer dumb mistake. It doesn't mean you will end up like them. Success also depends on capital, timing, how well you adapt, not just experience.

Yeah Rushing to open a business without a proper knowledge it's a very bad idea, but having capital is one of the most important things needed to consider before initiating a business and the skills and understanding some of the challenges that apply to a particular business you are interested in is also important. But one of the associated factors that many people are not aware of is the location or community in which you can run your business, because not all businesses can be run in every community.

For instance you can start a particular business in a place where your product is very rare and people patronize it a lot.  Secondly, you cannot start a particular business in a place where your product is forbidden to be consumed or used. So in a nutshell, to gain in a business and to avoid losses, choosing the right location for a business is a very important thing to always consider when you are about to initiate a business. There are people who are better off in employment, skilled professions, freelancing or other forms of income rather than becoming an entrepreneur. That is not the best path for them to get financial success. My advice for the people who keep on changing their businesses every 2 years and without even having any progress is that they should stop and try to identify the real problem behind it before starting any new setup. Changing from one business to another is not always about the lack of opportunities; sometimes the issue is poor planning and not having enough knowledge, not having enough capital or sometimes it can be because of weak management or choosing a business that does not match their skills. They should learn from the mistakes; there is nothing wrong with admitting that the business was not on the right path and trying to find sustainable way of building financial security for them.

This is not about the people, it's about the job specifications. There are some jobs that you do that you will not think of venturing into business, you know why? It's because the job requires all your time, the only time you have is when you want to spend little time for break and maybe sometimes whhe you get off which are usually short period. For that reason, making investments is your only choice, you do well with your work and make investment aside.

Some people that you are seeing that are turning business people, some will wish they have another way to make income but they don't have any that is why they choose to do business that is not even certain in the first place. There is nothing bad in starting a business but the chance of failure is what I fear and some may have nothing to do with you, economic transformation is one of the biggest fear of any business person.
