I can’t afford to go the same route, the least position I’m eyeing is the 3rd place and that have had over 7 points in the first two, so theoretically from 6 questions If I could manage to get 4, I’ll still need around 4 odds of winning ticket to be safe. Maybe that approach might have been up for consideration If I’m on the podium already and just trying to play it safe, but while still hunting for the first points, I need something more than just the average.

Nothing much happening this year tbh, it has been real plain year for me. Getting sigban was probably the biggest thing that happened to me so far this year

You know what, the 5th place on 2nd round Vasda had 1.5x tickets which is the minimum allowed. He had 4 points on question and that 1.5 bumped his position to 5th place. Just gotta hope that majority of the ticket lost just like the previous round, that could change alot of the outcome even with the lower odds ticket

I hope the risk pays off, I didn't play safe (took the biggest risk with Santos over 1 & Bahia to win), options that feel less likely.

I guess not many of us are watching the matches in the Brazilian Serie A.

SB asked us to do something Brazil flavored and we really liked this type of competition during the World Cup.
We have 31 submissions in Round 3, which shows that there is decent interest even for the Brazilian league

Don't be disappointed for losing your bet by backing Palmeiras as a winner. I can see that 50% of the participants have lost their bets already for the unexpected result of this match. I was quite optimistic about Palmeiras victory as losing or a draw could increase the points difference with Flamengo. I was lucky with my betslip in event 1, my little knowledge about Brazilian Serie A reflects in event 2 and 3.

I lost mine too. I was kinda pushing it tbh, I was supposed to take double chance on Palmeira paired with Flamengo but the odds was kinda low so I back out from that option.

So much for "playing it safer" this time as those damn Santos and Palmeiras couldn't score and from what I can see, many failed on that game as well. On top of that, I only got 1/3 correct answers, so I just wanna forget this round as soon as possible. At least the next round starts soon.

It's a mix of possibilities
Anyone who gets 4 or 5 questions right and picks a single bet of 1.5 has a good chance of winning something
If you get only 3 or fewer right, you'll need good odds to win, I think above 3 to guarantee a good place at least 5th

There isn't a pro for everything out there. Every pro that I know off that was even remotely successful has his niche where he can outperform the bookies. For me that is definitely DOTA and Tennis at the moment. Football both to score is also my strong market but only for the teams that I am watching on weekly basis. Brazilian league is a total unknown for me, but since there is a lot of surprises there should also be quite good possibility of getting nice value on it. Something like what buwaytress was doing earlier in his thread with gunning long odds could work like a charm here. Not for this contest but for long term betting project. Even martingaling it on draws could be profitable here from what I have seen so far.

I haven't seen what the positions of the teams were because I went by the odds, but the unexpected is waiting for us gamblers in every league.

There could be one distinction I think and by that I mean that the league is more equal. The only big favorite in the first part of this matchday was Bragantino. All the odds were close and this made it challenging to find pleasing picks for the bet slip.

Nope, even double chance failed me. It saved me on Palmeiras, which seems to have killed a lot of you, but Botafogo decided to simply lose altogether, and so I look towards the heavens and cast my betting tickets to the nether.

Yeah Santos vs. Palmeiras also ruined my 3leg betslip. I picked both teams to score, but the game ended 0-0. If both teams had scored, I think I would have had chance to win 1st place this round since that would have given me an additional 6 points. No luck for me for three consecutive rounds now. There are still five rounds left, though. Hopefully, I can win 1st place in at least one round to make up for my losses. That would be enough for me.
