I am thinking converting your local currency to dollar, euro or pounds which most of us are familiar with will be better.
This topic has been discussed before several times.
It is still about cash out and not cash out.
I do not cash out no matter what.
But it can be very wise in some situations like the one you explained, but I will not cash out.
Cashing out isn't greed but in this context op is actually talking about players that cashout and then start having regretful feelings when the game plays out, this regret sets in because they didn't wait long enough to win the full amount of money but they forget that it could have turned out to be much worse. walking out with something is a win and later wishing you didn't cash out because you could have won more is actually greed.

Humans are basically insatiable in the first instance and this isn't the first time I have read a similar story or had a real life friend or myself experience this exact thing and wish we had waited to win the exact potential amount.
The thing about gambling is that we never know the end so whenever you get a chance to get a piece of the pie in the form of cash out or full win, it's always best to collect it and smile or try again or not, rather than regret the later outcome of an earlier decision already made.
Every possible scenario you imagine is possible and that's why gambling is a game of luck and risk management helps one stay longer mostly when it comes to preserving capital and keeping emotions in check.

It is just human nature and no matter how you try not to feel regret for cashing out early the feeling just doesn't go away and that's not being greedy, I have been in this situation many times and I always have mixed feelings I always think about the total cash I would have collected if I had waited longer but it is what it is and I don't beat myself up too hard about it because I have also cashed out earlier than I should and at the end of the game it turned out that cashing out was the right decision because I would have lost everything if I had waited longer. Everyone wants to make more money and being upset if they were wrong for cashing out early is very valid.

Gambling is a game of luck and so it should never be considered by folks as something for them to regrets over especially because of the past decision they made pertaining a bet that was placed and that was probably cashed out early.. Folks should always note that just as it is possible to win more, that is how it is also possible to lose all of your stakes if one kept on going without acknowledging the risk attached to doing so... Gamblers need to understand that there is no gurantee that a bet goes according to a particular planned outcome regardless of how certain and promising the bet seems to be.. And so, it makes it more sensible for folks to always be ready to accept whatever outcome or decisions they make as regards risk management and reduction of the possibility of taking a bigger loss...And then always be ready to move on instead of always being trapped in regrets or the ideation over a supposed big win...

I want to ask something very common about sports betting. Let’s say you stake $4000 to win $30,000, and while the matches are still going on, they offer you $18,000 to cash out. You decide to take it because you don’t want to risk losing everything. Now imagine you cash out and later all the remaining matches win, instead of being happy that you made a good decision and secured your money, you start saying, “Ahh, if I had waited, I would have won $30,000”.
But why are you angry? You chose to cash out because you were scared of losing, right? What if you had waited and one match spoiled the whole bet? Wouldn’t you be wishing you had taken the cash out? Honestly, I feel some people focus too much on what they could have won instead of appreciating what they actually got.
So tell me, is it greed, or is it just human nature? Why do people get upset over a bet they cashed out successfully, just because they would have won more?
I think it’s a bit of both but mostly human nature. People tend to focus on what they could have had instead of what they actually gained. Once all the matches win the $18,000 cash out would start feeling like a loss even though they made a profit. They forget why they cashed out in the first place. It’s easy to judge a decision after knowing the outcome. If one match had failed they would probably be happy they took the money. I think the real problem is not appreciating what you have because you’re busy thinking about what could have been.

One of my biggest problem in gambling is being failed by the last match. I have even lost count of how many times the last match made me lose the ticket even when they often appear like highest probability option. I even experienced it yesternight with some England youth teams. As a remedy, I decided to be playing games that are within the same time.

That is gamblers for you, and I think it's a normal thing because there's no way you would cash out your bet and feel happy when the game ends up fully green. But in a normal sense, we are not supposed to overthink it too much because sometimes cashing out helps us recover some of the money, so it's very essential for us to always let go after making a decision.
Personal, I don't usually have time for cashing out, because I have lost a huge amount of money due to not letting the to settle, so I always make sure that I gamble with an amount that won't make me panic during the game.

So tell me, is it greed, or is it just human nature? Why do people get upset over a bet they cashed out successfully, just because they would have won more?
It's human nature and a typical gamble reaction. I do this often, but that does not mean I am not satisfied with my decision. When in gambling we made a decision that we regret later on, but we have to move forward, as it is what it is, it's a very normal thing and it happened to many gamblers. The most important thing is you don't sulk the whole time and feel disappointed the whole time, you have to move forward right away and enjoy your winning, that is the right approach to this.

All depends on your strategy. There are people whose strategy is cash out; they aren't concerned with what happens at the end of the game. Their only concern about the game is for the game to give them a reasonable amount of cash out; they're done and have no regrets. Whereas some are comfortable with whatever outcome, they either take a cash out or wait until the game ends. For me, I target both options; there are situations I will have to cash out, and in some reason I will until the March ends. It just depends on the situation on the ground, but I appreciate cash out because you're in an advantage regardless of how much you would have won.

Choosing to cash out is a decision and it is immature for any gambler to start feeling angry after cashing out just because the game they bet on was successful, a win is a win and that's the main thing that should be focused on. In my experience getting pained over such triggers revenge gambling and that's the beginning of a mistake that might not be able to be fixed. So tell me, is it greed, or is it just human nature? Why do people get upset over a bet they cashed out successfully, just because they would have won more?
It's greed and guess what greed is also part of human nature as well. They only think about what they could have won from the game if only they waited more but forget that they won something from the game which makes it better than losing.

I do not think that is great. I just think that is human nature. Naturally, we want to win and cashing out in this case doesn’t seem like a win. So it is just a natural response to this type of event. However, I think there is a way the individual can reframe it by saying that they learn from this and next time they would try their luck and not cash out. They can also encourage themselves that it is better to wait a little than not win at all. So many discussions here on cashing out and my response has been consistent which is this.

This attitude is common among bettors, not only when they cash out a bet halfway and still end up with little profit, it also happens when the whole games played and they win the bet, in that scenario most of them will start regretting and blaming themselves for not betting the game with very huge amount of cash more than the one they had staked with. Human wants are highly insatiable no matter huge the winning is, gamblers will still want more. For me I barely cash out games half way through, although sometimes the cash out amount could be tempting but i stick to my plans no matter what May.

I think this is driven by natural human psychological tendency, specifically inclination to assume once the outcome is known, that past could have been easily foreseen. its not greed. After walking away with $18000, only to see that we would have won remaining match as well, we couldn't help but think if we had just waited little longer we could have walked away with $30000! But had we lost a match then situation would have been opposite. In that case we might have considered decision to cash out a clever move. In my view, information we had when making decision is not same as outcome we learned about after match concluded. Therefore it would not be right to judge whether decision was good or bad based solely on final result. However opting for any cash-out does not necessarily mean it is rational decision.

This type of situation has been discussed before and I think there's majority of those who will be gladly take the money. The regret in the end is there but imagine how much you have already than losing it entirely when you pursue the bet. I'll choose to cash out if more than the bet placed for me is satisfying. I don't mind about the potential profit when it's risky and there's the guaranteed one, I'll take that guaranteed one. It's human nature to feel bad when the outcome is shown positively. But if it's the opposite, that's going to make you feel better and relief.

A bet with $4000 giving you a profits of $18000 that is more that 50% to 60% of your total expected winnings, so if you Cash out at that stage you are very much in profit and should celebrate your decisions regardless if the other remaining matchs played out as you speculated. What if you waited and you get hit with one match lose which spoil the whole target, allowing greed to have the better part of you as a gambler is something that often leads to regret.

Regret after withdrawal is caused by the mental inclination to evaluate one’s initial moves in terms of the ultimate result only. Getting at least some returns is just an intelligent attempt to limit the probability of losing all the invested money. When everything goes as expected, the attention of the mind is at once focused on the lost profit margin. It is not caused by the inadequacy of safety precautions but the natural desire of human beings to have their needs fulfilled. Strict attitude toward initial actions will save one’s tranquility from the negative influence of wishful thinking that ruins judgment. Judging realistic actions of the past in the light of currently available information produces nothing but imaginary pain. It is important to appreciate real victories in the life of gambler, instead of crying over the lost possibility of getting the maximum profit.

I never cash out my bets, that feature is a trap and I ignore it. The odds they offer on cash outs are rigged in the bookie's favor, so I’m all in until the end. It comes down to greed and emotional psychology. People fixate on the extra money left on the table because of hindsight bias, they forget the fear that made them hit the button in the first place!! Cashing out is almost always a bad play, either ride the bet to the end or place smaller stakes you can afford to lose.

Yes cashout is the best option to go with, although some time's it do look like a regret but I believe in taking little than to loss all because of greed. Gambling is the only game without any assurance of positivity at last because there is know game with 100 percent chances of success, so to avoid losing all i think the best is to take the little you have seen. This is one of the problem most gamblers are facing today, they see the possibility and decide not to take the little they have seen with hope it most turn positive but at last the regret. Therefore if the game has gotten to a certain level, I think cashout is the only answer.

So tell me, is it greed, or is it just human nature? Why do people get upset over a bet they cashed out successfully, just because they would have won more?
We humans are greedy in nature. No matter how anyone wants to put it. We we never get satisfied but the ability to control that greed varies per individual, which is why some of us can easily move on considering only the gain made and don’t regret our action entirely for cashing out quick we just have to way the amount of loss which we could have encountered if the game went edgeways on its way and how much was secured for cashing out early use that to compensate your feeling.

Of course it's greediness, which is also part of the primitive human nature. I guess we are here in this world to try getting rid of such emotional patterns or learning how manage them more efficiently. It's actually ridiculous that someone gets angry for not having won 30,000$ from a 4000$ bet, although he still made 18,000$ profit, which is a very decent amount of money. Where can you make so much profit like that in few hours? That should be enough for the gambler to feel satisfied for what he has got.
