The key foundation of this problem is the leadership of the country because they are the ones that make policies which covers every sector in the economy, so if a bad policy is implemented it affects every area especially removal of fuel subsidy as every individual wether poor or rich uses and once the price goes up it affects everything and that's why we are living in abject poverty amidst the mineral resources we have.
If we should go into detail and analyze it, you will discover that leadership is not just the only major contributing factor of the problem, however it contributes greatly to the problem and leadership is not just about the government but also about every individual in their respective position of leadership. Some people blame the government alone meanwhile we have individuals in different companies and organization serving as a managing director there and making the possibility of getting a job in that company very difficult for me and you meanwhile they have their favorite persons that they will easily give employment into that same company even though the person doesn't qualify, but you that have graduated with the best degree will be left behind.
That is what is happening in most companies, it's either you are the relative of the Oga in charge, or you pay your way in through bribery, but what if you don't have money to pay your way in, then other who have the money will get the opportunity while you are left out, the government are not responsible in cases like this. Corruption is in every sector, even in business places, that's why you will see someone buy a product for ₦1k and wants to sell it for ₦20k
As someone mentioned, which is what was on my mind too, the issue of population growth is also a contributor to this problem. Some family don't have enough resource (no money, no business that they are doing, they don't have a company) and they already know the situation of the economy but when they start making babies, they will have like 5 -8 kids meanwhile they know that there's no company where this kids will work if they grow. In the more developed world, how many family is giving birth to 4-8 kids?
