An airdrop never really made any sense to me, as you basically destroy a coin's price by introducing it. And many of those receiving the airdrop now wouldn't even have been mining or buying the coin early on anyway... probably most would simply gobble up coins and dump.
If it was possible to verify early miners/adopters, and do a small drop to rectify the instamine issue... for those people... I guess it could work, as they'd be much less likely to dump. It may be more trouble than its worth even then -- and no idea how to verify early miners anyway.

After I asked many investors that purchased $10-100k USD worth of Darkcoin came out of the woodwork and said that would rob them. You can't change the rules in the middle of the game. It's in the past and we're moving on. Can you imagine buying $30000 worth of something and then the developers making it worth $15000 overnight to appease a small group of users? |
