Unfortunately, we are constantly being attack with various forms of attacks. Today, someone decided to spam the service with many orders - even though, he had to pay fee for that. Someone is really investing large quantities of resources to try to harm NiceHash.

I think you put a limit to one order by minutes or two minutes with 10 or 20 orders maximum by hour to limit spamming.

Nicehash is back working, but now getting mostly
"Stratum from stratum.nicehash.com requested work restart"

at least before we got switched to failover pool

i had the same issue. i inserted a diff factor into my config just now. it resolved it.

Check you reject percentage. Also make sure you are not just looking at the 5 min hashrate because that may have a huge variance. Look at the "Round accepted speed MH/s" and also look at the chart.

I was looking at my Round Accepted speed.  According to BAMT, my reject % is 2.1%, which I'm fairly happy with.  I guess I'll just keep monitoring what my miners are saying compared to NH, and if I can't get something acceptable, I'll move on.

Thanks.

"Round accepted" may have been low when nicehash had some periods of downtime recently - DDOS attacks and whatnot - please keep that in mind. Check if your rig switched to a backup pool at any point during the period you were looking at.

 This is a bit off topic....but related as to why Nice Hash is trying to help us get the best we can out of ours rigs.

I started with cgminer but quickly learned about sgminer after reading the FAQs. Getting my config file right made it even better. My GPUs run cooler and get a better hash rate.

It seems that buyers are comfortable too... and are willing to pay a better price as it seems to be climbing. This is more stable than renting my rig (i think).
We need more miners to meet the demand for orders so that buyers keep getting their orders filled and feel good about placing future orders. Might not be a bad idea if we spread the word.

As far as multipool comparisons, I check this site often:    http://poolpicker.eu/

The graph is great. Scrolling to the table at the bottom gives a good set of numbers. NiceHash holds up well.

One thing that's obvious right away in poolpicker numbers is that it doesn't account for downtime. Nicehash was down for hours on Tuesday (or was it Wednesday?) and it is not reflected on poolpicker numbers. Not sure how they do that with other pools but this doesn't seem like an apples-to-apples comparison.

Sgminer on windows is still crashing on startup

Cgminer seems to be working fine, but giving me 20% less hashrate power than what my graphic card can provide.

There are some decent paying Scrypt-A-Nfactor orders ... if you have Scrypt-A-Nfactor you can get some good payouts, check here: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?a=2 and point your miner to stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3335

We advice you to use multi-algorithm configuration (if you're using latest sgminer)

"pools" : [
        {
                "name" : "NiceHash Scrypt-A.-Nfactor",
                "url" : "stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3335",
                "user" : "myBTCaddress",
                "algorithm" : "nscrypt",
                "nfactor" : "11"
        },
        {
                "name" : "NiceHash Scrypt",
                "url" : "stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3333",
                "user" : "myBTCaddress",
        },
        {
      "name" : "mybackuppool",
                "url" : "stratum+tcp://mybackuppool",
                "user" : "myBTCaddress",
                "pass" : "x"
        }
]
,
"kernel" : "zuikkis",
... etc ...

I have added my info to the conf file but i get errors when loading

partial JSON error in conf file
conf file could not be used
need to specify at least one pool server

Make sure you have commas where there needs to be and no commas where there doesn't need to be.  Also, same with the brackets.  I get that message when I've messed up those.

thanks but i dont know how to do that. i want to setup for Nscrypt but if i change my port to 3335 i get share is above target. i followed the faq on the nicehash website. it works fine in scrypt mode with this bat with no conf file.

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

sgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3333 -u 1CrpGPyvWdGuirFTN7ky62bLvYEW1gZUuZ -p d=64 -o stratum+tcp://useast.wafflepool.com:3333 -u 1CrpGPyvWdGuirFTN7ky62bLvYEW1gZUuZ -p password --thread-concurrency 8192 --intensity 13 --worksize 256 -g 2 --temp-target 70 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1080 --gpu-fan 80

You need to specify the algorithm adaptive-n-factor and nfactor 11 arguments to the configurations.  I'm not sure how exactly it is done on the command line.  Documentation is horrible.  Also, I don't know how to set up mixed algorithms on the command line.  Otherwise both pools may end up doing nfactor 11 and then wafflepool is gonna get messed up.  As far as I know mixed algos can only be done using the conf file so you can specify per pool only.

Make sure you are using the version of sgminer that supports adaptive-n-factor AND mixed algos.  Only the latest versions starting with version 4.1.271 can do that.

please Add X11

On todo list. We need to make share validator first.

I hope you could implement it soon. One of your competitors already integrated X11 rig rent/lease. But I do like the ease of buying and selling hashpower here at nicehash and do not want to move on!

Hmm I am having that issue where I don't switch over to my failover pool. It just keeps looking for pool restart and doesn't do anything. Lost about 8 hours because of it and I don't know how to fix that. Any ideas? Sorry if it's been repeatedly asked, I read through a few pages.

Anyone else getting major rejection rates? I'm mining with cudaminer on some 750ti's and SGMiner 4.1.271 with my 7970. My cudaminer was reporting like 50% accepted and rejected and my sgminer keeps saying things like requested worker restart and very few rejected but the Diff is constantly changing. I normally mine at 650KH/z WU with my 7970 in SGMiner but it's been fluctuating a lot lately and is kind of hanging around 550-600 for some reason.

Yes. I'm getting over 50% on both of my rigs.

Please, when you are saying about rejects, state following: what kind of rejects are you getting (share above target, duplicate or stale), your mining software and location.

We are constantly under attack by hackers trying to f*ck us over somehow.

A friend of mine added some code from sgminer to dtbartle's cgminer-gc3355.

Maybe this version fixes the issues with the Gridseed miners.

He gave me this instruction for building the binary:

Code:
sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install libcurl4-openssl-dev libudev-dev libncurses-dev

git clone -b useful-sgminer-commits https://github.com/Mansouu/cgminer-gc3355

cd cgminer-gc3355

CFLAGS="-O2 -Wall -march=native" ./configure --enable-scrypt --enable-gridseed

make
