If more large businesses started to accept Bitcoin then I suppose you would begging to see a incline in the prices. The day it does hit $10000 is the day everyone begins to mine.

Not in this year.
Why do you think that? A year ago 1000$ was completely unthinkable, still it happened in November!

I guess you are right. The bitcoin price is so volatile and unpredictable.
No one could have imagined it could grow so fast from literally worthless 5 years ago.

it might happen but the chances are on very lower side..! things are not same like last year..! there are far too many challenges that bitcoin is facing and will face this year..! but still hopeful lets see but quite skeptical about it..!

Why do you think we will stop using Bitcoin in 2022? As soon as more people become Bitcoin users, bank-based financial systems will have no use and i hope the revolution will be there at least in 2022...

If some new bug is discovered in Bitcoin, which allows something like a double spend, then Bitcoin will become useless and the people who have invested money in it will lose everything. Also, there is a slight possibility of a 51% attack (theoretically possible, but very difficult to do it practically). So many possibilities... let's hope that BTC will cross $100,000 before that.  Grin

We can hope but you know it won't. There are so much troubles on the way - people with a LOT of money will block it, government will block it as soon as they feel threatened. No chance.

As long as *we* follow, support and promote our idea, no government can stop Bitcoin. Meanwhile, it is possible to keep btc relays on bullet-proof private datacenters to get more security from "someones", who will suddenly decide to close these servers. While network is up - Bitcoin is unstoppable.

"[...] Note: even though it originally came from an acronym, Tor is not spelled "TOR". Only the first letter is capitalized. In fact, we can usually spot people who haven't read any of our website (and have instead learned everything they know about Tor from news articles) by the fact that they spell it wrong."

I agree, it'd be hard for any government except I guess China's to do something about the people using bitcoins.

Not even china could do anything about it. Even if they make it illegal it's not that hard to bypass the great firewall.

But it would never takeoff, it would just bea peer to peer money. to get to $10000 IMO we need goverment support.

But there is none rules that will tell us it for sure.
In 2015 September - price might hit even 20k.

Probably within 2016, depending on certain events. It possibly come quicker similar to when btc jumped from $200 - $1,000 over news of chinas exchange. But it has to be something big.

Yes, the block halving should happen in 2016.
We just have to be patient with these matters.

Block halving is in 2017. We will see 10k $ before this happens. I think in 2017 we have already seen 50k $.

It is obviously pretty hard to answer precisely, you can have a feeling, you can give arguments to make the point that it will be within a few years but it ends up to being a guess

You need at least 10 times rise by about $1,000, probably followed with stagnation or decreasing price. Im not sure it is possible so soon. 2020+ when block reward is 6.25 BTC is more likely (if ever, obviously)
